-Legendary Title: Silver King Returned

Appearance: Edgardo is a Puerto Rican young man of 26 years, standing at a height of 5'9" and weights 190 lbs. His skin is mid tan and well toned, dressed of faded blue jeans, green and blue striped shirt with short sleeves, a pair of black sneakers and fingerless, black gloves. His eyes, which were originally light green are now golden yellow, as a sign of his visitation.

Personality: Edgardo is generally a quiet person, not prone to talking to people unless spoken to first. Yet he's shown to be a nice guy, empathetic to most people and intelligent. But when it comes to things he likes is where his personality takes a turn, getting easily excited over his hobbies and prone to talking a lot out of excitement. Edgardo can also be very stubborn, which has caused problems for him in the past. Despite his fit body, he loves to eat but learned to balance that with keeping fit.

Background: Edgardo was allegedly born to two doctors in Puerto Rico. He grew up with a relatively normal childhood, yet as he reached his teenage years, he began having strange dreams about a sword wielding warrior with a silver arm battling against various enemies, among them a one eyed giant. The confusion these dreams caused him were making him anxious since he had no idea why he was having them. Edgardo, who was raised to be studious, turned to video games to help him cope with the constant dreams.

During junior high, his grades suffered a bit as he got immersed into gaming, mostly western and eastern RPGs as some of them had fantasy settings that helped give him calm whenever he played them after the dreams. That also caused him to expand his reading to fantasy novels but meant he kept to himself more, worrying his parents. But everything changed when he made his first friend, Carlos Lopez. Their first meeting was that of two boys running into each other and playing multiplayer. After a match, they talked a bit with each other and learned they went to the same school. That led to the beginning of their friendship, one that deepened when Edgardo confided about his dreams one day and learned that Carlos had some hidden depths than simply being a stereotypical latino boy who preferred sports.

"Did he have a sword of light?!"

"Uh yes. He was wielding it with his silver arm."

"Claiomh Solais! You're dreaming about the Tuatha!"

It turned out Carlos was on Irish descent, his ancestors having migrated to Puerto Rico in the 19th century. He was also a big fan of Celtic myths, and eagerly shared his theories on the dreams, among them the silver armed man. The Celtic god Nuadha Airgetlam, the silver hand. Airgetlam was a word Edgardo had heard before, his first exposure from playing Wild Arms 2, and like before, a headache followed by a burning sensation on his right arm happened. The talk stopped there but Edgardo was finally getting some answers. But also more questions, but it made him motivated to learn. The more he learned of the Celts, the more he felt like emulating them and for the first time, took to actually taking care of his body, but still indulged in his love of eating from time to time.

When he finally graduated to college, Edgardo took courses in electronics and calibrations. His love of video games expanded to FPS and other genres by then, along with his classes, made him interested in guns. Since only Scions would use weapons like swords and he was a mortal, he took to guns instead. A controversial decision among his family for they were Christians and peaceful, yet his parents respected his decision. So after four years in college, he applied for his license and got a job working in a government weapons factory. Edgardo also researched more about the celts, mostly history to learn about their Scions, but strangely enough, there was no mention of a Scion of Nuadha in modern times.

He got his answer one day when at the age of 24, got into an accident that left his right arm burned. While it was only first degree burns, they were still very painful and had to go for medical leave to treat it. That was when the doctor in charge of the factory infirmary, Danny Chent, took him aside and checked his burns. While doing so, he began to tell Edgardo a story about the Tuatha, the latter already knowing the doctor was Irish and enjoyed the old stories. As the story continued, the doctor looked at him directly and smiled, before pointing out one thing, he had been telling the story in old Welsh.

That shocked Edgardo since he never bothered learning any other languages besides English and Spanish. When asked why, Danny told him it's because memories of his past life where returning. He raised his hands, saying he knew the young man was Christian but felt he needed to know the truth before the conflict between his belief and who he really is caused the Fatebinding to affect him negatively.

"Fatebinding?"

"A term used among the myths, the gods and their Scions. You are a Scion, but you have no divine parent. You are my king returned, in mortal form. I welcome you back, Nuadha Airgetlam."

Before he could deny it, a surge of memories suddenly flooded Edgardo's mind. In them, he saw himself, for by seeing the memory, he knew for sure the doctor had been telling the truth, in a battle against Balor, yet it was not the original, climactic battle, for he was joined by Lugh, Dian Ceht, and three Scions of the Pantheons, a female redhead soldier chosen of The Morrigan, Lugh's current mortal son, part Asian and part Irish, also wielding a spear like his father and the third a Created of the Dagda, originally to help him learn more of the modern world but the girl grew into her own person, making the head god proud.

In the memories, Nuadha had been sneak attacked by Bres using a dangerous artifact but was able to repel the enemy and claim the dangerous object. Then the memories flash to Dian shaking his head and telling him that while the injury wasn't serious, the artifact had another effect, imposing a Geasa upon the god that would go against his Fatebinding, and warned that if not treated, it could weaken him or do far worse. The options given to Nuadha was get the Scions on a quest to heal him, drag the rest of the pantheon to use their power to heal him, incarnate as a mortal to purge the Geasa and regain his power or find Bres and drag the cure from his arrogant mouth.

The next flash of memories showed an angry Dian Ceht being mollified by Nuadha, the latter pointing out that even the healer god himself admitted his son wouldn't be able to heal this malady and that he had already made his decision. He raised his hand and assured Dian Ceht that his vow still stand. If in his Scion incarnation he lost one of his arms and was strong enough, he would use the silver arm again and not replace it unless fatebinding demands it. That promise, along with the fact that the healer god will be the only one to know of the whole plan for Nuadha to reincarnate and keep it hidden from the rest of the pantheon, calmed Dian Ceht down.

Once the memories ended, Edgardo panted. Looking back at the doctor, he could see that he no longer looked like the middle aged Irish doctor he knew, but the healer god from his memories. He asked what he should do now, since his memories returned. Dian Ceht said that now he needed to regain his power, on his own merits since that was what Nuadha wanted. For his Scion incarnation to earn everyone's respect without any existing pressure of his past life. The healer god suggested getting some training in combat to get used to fighting since Edgardo had lived a peaceful life.

So the next two years, he was introduced to who would be his divine guide, Lugh Lamhfhada, who was asked by Nuadha before his retreat from the pantheon to mentor and guide his Scion if he should ever make himself known. While those years were grueling, it felt fulfilling to Edgardo. He still considered himself two different people but would embrace become Nuadha, while never letting his mortal self disappear. Once his training was done, he was dropped off in New York and there, he met with Dian Ceht again. The healer god was in his mortal form, there to tell him that to regain his power, it may be necessary to group up with other Scions, something he figures should be easier for the Incarnate since he grew up in an entirely different culture, making him more acceptable to other Scions and sent him to an old friend of his, after a slight ribbing from Edgardo about his surprise that Dian Ceht actually has friends. The woman's name was Chloe Erini and she would be waiting for him.

With a nod, Edgardo checked his phone and saw the email. He would start his journey as a Scion and one day, return to the Tuatha De Danaan.

If you want to keep it simple for your role path, you could do something like that:

Combat Specialist

Skills: Firearms, Close Combat, Athletics.

I see you have already chosen boons, you know since the boons can also come from your Birthrights, might be worth just waiting until you are done with your birthrights to see if there are some boons that you might want, just a general advice but if you are satisfied with your choice no worries.

Of course let me know when you need some help.

Sure. I chose those two for now while I decide what to spend the rest of the Birthrights points on. And thanks for the suggestion for the role path, I'll get to work on adding them and modifying his skills. I also wouldn't mind some suggestions on specialties.

For the specialties:
Academics (History) going to assume he might be interested in History but if not Literature is not bad.

Technology (Jury-Rigging) or (Repairs electronics) or (Hacking)

Just about done. Just need to talk about Achilless Heel for Divine Shield. What do you think works better, a type of item, type of material or an area on his body that's vulnerable to harm?

Don't need to worry too much about it, by default most people use the conditions in the origin book as honestly it is simpler. In brief when you use connections the first time you gain the suspended condition, then if you try to use your invoke your connections a second time in the same session, you get the revoked condition.
