Aspasia Posted January 30 Clone Share Posted January 30 Hello! I'm happy to have discovered that forum play-by-post is still a thing! About me: I have two kids and I'm currently in grad school, so I just don't have time for synchronous gaming, which is why this format appeals to me so much! I live in the Pacific Northwest and work(ed) in tech before going back to school. I've been gaming (off and on) for about 18 years and before COVID and moving for work I was part of a wonderful group that met every Thursday and we'd all take turns DMing 3rd Edition and later 5th so that nobody got stuck as the Forever DM as they say. I actually played PbP on a different forum way back in the day but didn't see the appeal then. I certainly do now! I love to write and make worlds come alive. Anyways, glad to be here! Aspekt Posted January 30 Clone Share Posted January 30 Hi Aspasia, Welcome! If you're interested in poking about, I've got open applications going on right now for my first PBP game of 5e. You can find it in Games -> Advertisements. Cheers, Aspekt
cailano Posted January 31 Clone Share Posted January 31 That sounds a lot like why I got into PbP around 11 or 12 years ago. I had kids, was back in school, and liked to write. It's been good times ever since! PbP is my favorite way to play these games at this point.
Blaeringr Posted January 31 Clone Share Posted January 31 Great to see you. I found PbP years ago and like it for the freedom to post when works for me, but love it for the opportunity to take my time improvising with my games.
