He feels... exhausted, though he couldn't tell why. Maybe itbwas just the excitement catching up to him, or his nerves. Oh well - nothing GridGuide couldn't fix, bringing him home. Man, he was tired - it was to put Suit aside, and be Ahmed. The next day, he's quickly reminded of why Suit came to exist in the first place. Three angry voicemails from his manager, guilt tripping him about how the place was so slow because he selfishly took a sick day. A dozen messages from his coworkers, either asking for favours or reminding him of ones he owed. Bills, payments due, badgering his landlord for much needed repairs... afternoon rolls by soon enough. The face sets out his gear, waiting for his contact to get back to him before heading to work. Dinner rush was the same as usual, loud, fast-paced, and made all the worse by everyone involved. Gary, his manager, spent his time berating everyone to work harder while he sat in his office playing AR games and browsing dating sites. His coworkers were a mixed bag, some cool, some respectable, some less than useless. The customers were the standard affair as well, with a few stand-outs - the one who complained his well done (real) steak was dry, the one who was convinced Ahmed was flirting with their partner when he gave his customer service smile, the one who tried to pull the "your tip is set and we'll take away a nuyen for each mistake", and who could forget the one that liked elves a bit too much for comfort? If he had to hear, "I love elves. You're so magical!" one more time... Still, apart from that, tonights shift was decent, tip wise. Even after tipping out back of house he'd be walking away with enough to justify not taking a shift for the rest od the week. He just had to go through a few more customers and he'd be home free... The Officer is in full uniform minus any helmet. The host(ess)? seats him at a smaller table which gives the impression he is alone tonight. The officer begins plucking through an AR menu suspended in front of him. Putting on his best customer service smile, Ahmed introduces himself to the cop, going through the standard spiel - welcome to the restaurant, had he been here before, a tour of the menu. Alright, calm down, dude. He's not on business, he's just some regular wagie getting some lunch. Nothing out of the ordinary, you deal with these all the time. Satisfied that this wasn't some sting op or that he'd been had, Ahmed quickly goes back to his civilian demeanor. He wasn't a shadowrunner who did criminal operations on behalf of wealthy patrons who hired him as a deniable asset, no siree. He was just Ahmed, law-abiding citizen of the United Canadian and American States, and a part time waiter making ends meet. He certainly had no reason to fear law enforcement. But he wasn't born yesterday. A friend in Knight Errant would be valuable, even if it was Ahmed and not Suit who knew them. He doesn't try anything - not tonight - but he does try to eavesdrop or find the man's name. If he's been there before, he'd likely be back again someday.
