RogetThesaurii Posted April 6 Author Clone Share Posted April 6 The older woman who had answered the front door had barely spoken when a yell echoed back from the rear area of the property. It sounded like Garkyn, yelling! The woman at the door seemed oblivious. She opened the door fully and asked quite nicely "Whud iz thiz all aboud offizers?" Her slurred words made her hard to understand. OoC Perception checks to Understand Garkyn, and anyone who wants to interact may do so. Drakestendor Posted April 6 Clone Share Posted April 6 (edited) Kayli was impressed with her squad. They took initiative and little delegation was necessary. They handled the last location quite well! Commendations would be going in the report, especially for the new recruit. He had a calm demeanor and it smoothed out his rough edges. The 304 was definitely the precinct for him. Also, boy eye-candy was a nice thing… Window-shopping was not against her tenets of purity. ———— Squort found the boys’ location, so Kayli bolted off the porch and headed to the back yard. Squort made herself visible, and flew higher than the maze walls, so she could help lead the Blue Line through… Edited April 6 by Drakestendor (see edit history) Name xDiceName xDiceResult xDiceString xDiceRolls Perception 24 keep(2d20,highest,1)+6 18,7 Investigate 20 keep(2d20,highest,1)+4 16,10 Initiative 2 1d20+1
Dorgyn Posted April 7 Clone Share Posted April 7 (edited) “Git away from this thing!” Garkyn barked to the youth a bit harsher than he had intended, as he recovered from the magical dancing sword’s brutal attack on him. Ducking and dodging, he brought his maul around with a grunt knowing that he had to end this soon or the innocent would pay a high price. “BLUE LINE HERE NOW!” he bellowed at the top of his deep, baritone voice in hopes of calling in reinforcements. RogetThesaurii Posted April 8 Author Clone Share Posted April 8 Garkyn's strike shattered the closest sword with a backhanded blow. He stepped over the prone and bleeding boy below and moved towards the other blade. It spun to face him, hovering, then darted towards his face. Just then, Kayli and squort reached the back yard area. Squort was flying at hedge-top level and directed her mistress. Izzy and Raz were sure to be following soon, too. "Kay! That one's hurt bad!" Garkyn stood astride the injured boy as he fended off the dancing blade. OoC Garkyn smashes the heckin' outa that sword. Gonna roll Kayli's Initiative, then the sword will attack Garkyn. Vexo Posted April 8 Clone Share Posted April 8 Raziel stood behind Kati as she began to speak to the woman, but Garkyn’s shout was enough to spring her into action. She immediately darted away from the servant at the door, leaving the woman holding the door, her mouth agape. Raziel wanted to put the woman at ease, maybe get some answers while Kayli and Garkyn handled what was happening on premises. “Don’t worry ma’am, Kayli is our superior, her and officer Garkyn will handle whatever is happening out back. We don’t want to alarm you but we are on the search for some toys that are… not what they appear. I believe it is two wooden swords. Do you recall these items? If so do you remember where they were purchased and possibly anything strange about them?” Raziel wanted nothing more than to run off and help his partners, but someone had to stay and reassure the servant and ask questions. He had no doubt that Kayli would call for he and Izzy if anything was out of hand. Drakestendor Posted April 9 Clone Share Posted April 9 (edited) Kayli and Squort navigated the hedge maze and made it back to where the children we're being assaulted. Squort gave an "Eep" and disappeared. She stayed right above Kayli while Kayli circled around the fountain. Kayli then opened herself as a conduit for Shi'Ra's healing power. A sweet smell filled the air and the calming sound of a waterfall could be heard. Kayli danced around the wounded people, spreading Shi'Ra's healing power. The priestesses eyes rolled back in ecstacy and she hollered.... "Shi'Ra's light and love shines on you all! Fear not! The Blue Line will protect you!" Kayli stopped for a moment, during her dance, to use her telekinetic power to push the child away from the animated weapon. She then grasped the whistle around her neck and blew the Blue Leg signal for "Assistance Needed!!" Kayli cherished few things, and this whistle was one of them. It used to belong to her grandfather, a true champion of Justice. One solid note and then two quick ones.... TOOOOOOOOT TOOT TOOT!!!! Move and then Channel Divinity to use Balm of Peace.... RogetThesaurii Posted April 9 Author Clone Share Posted April 9 (edited) Kayli watched in satisfaction as her prayers were answered. Each time she neared one of the injured, bleeding stopped and wounds began to close. Garkyn's grim frown of concern was replaced with a grim frown of righteousness. This blade was going down!. It struck again at Garkyn before spinning to square off with Kayli, unarmed, but interfering. Kayli tweeted hard on her whistle, continuing the hard blasts in a short rhythm every Watch member learned day one: Officer In Distress Then, a strange creature appeared from hiding. "Ruin my fun will you? Well, let's see how you like this! Fiddlestick shall not be denied!" A wooden caricature of Wilmop, but perhaps eight inches tall and wielding a strange staff, pointed his weapon at the fountain. A blast of purple and brown energy splashed over the statue at the center and it suddenly sprang to life. It turned on Kayli and swung it's stony weapon! The weird little creature disappeared in a poof of pink, glittery smoke. Surprised by the statue, Kayli was unprepared for it's strike, a solid blow to her rib cage.. She had left her flank open! Wes would chew her a new rump if he saw her lax defense. She squared with the statue but kept herself focused on keeping the sword distracted to help Garkyn. Inside the house, Raz and Izzy stood in the entry hall, with the confused elder servant awaiting instructions. The house interior was dimly lit, hiding the true state of the furnishings. Drakestendor Posted April 16 Clone Share Posted April 16 (edited) Kayli noted that there was a new combatant... a tiny one. She sent Squort a telepathic message... "Keep an eye out for that tiny puppet, little buddy." Squort saluted and kept a peery eye. She knew that wand was dangerous and was gonna do her best to get it. Kayli didn't like multiple assailants, so she focused her fury on the sword. She wanted to let Garkyn use that hammer to best effect on the new threat, but there was a still a child in danger. The police whistle dropped from her lips as she telekinetically pushed the boy away from the danger and she chanted words of celestial power. She drew Swiftwind and it hummed with celestial power. RogetThesaurii Posted April 16 Author Clone Share Posted April 16 (edited) Kayli 'martialed her troops' as she maneuvered around the fountain, the fallen innocents, and the harrassing objects. Her mace connected with a thunderous boom on the sword, splintering it fully and dropping it to the ground. She pivoted backwards along the fountain's edge, placing the statue between her and her fellow officer for maximum containment. With a final thrust of mental capacity, Kayli shoved the young boy she'd been protecting back away from the combat and towards the bench nearby. As ordered, Squort shot skyward, seeking the hidden little puppet. She was on orders to snag that wand. It was a menace that needed managing, and fast! Up front, Izzy itched to move along. She slipped forwards into the house through the opened door, seeking a way to get back into the rear areas of the house. Izzy left the servant to Raz. The pretty tiefling seemed to have a way with people. It sounded like Garkyn and Izzy needed help! OoC Took the liberty of acting for Izzy at this point, gonna give Raz a minute to see if he wanted to further interact with this old servant lady. Kayli strikes the sword and destroys it, moves S 2 squares to flank the statue with Garkyn, shoves the other boy clear of the melee. It's technically back to Garkyn. I may edit this post to add a strike or two from Garkyn. Gotta check in w/ James and see when he can post first. Note the tiny pink S to the W of the Fountain; that represents Squort, about 30' up in the air, scanning for the puppet. RogetThesaurii Posted April 16 Author Clone Share Posted April 16 Despite Garkyn's staunch efforts to swat down the statue, it's stony exterior soaked in the blows to chest and groin. The creature wobbled on unsteady feet, broken stumps from the stone base. It turned to look at this new, hammer-wielding threat. It struck once at Garkyn and again, but this time back at Kayli! The weird creature was engaging them both when Izzy exploded into the area from the direction of the house. She leapt over the bench, landing to Kayli's rear and ready to engage. Izzy's scamper through the dimly lit house was a study in faux rich. These people may once have had money, but most of the rooms were cordoned off, covered in dust cloths and shut against the heat. The lack of light made it hard to see well, but the shining light from a back window guided her towards the rear where she exited into a side niche of the hedge maze. The sound of battle echoed clearly from here and she raced around the corner, leapt a bench in her way, and landed at the edge of the combat. Garkyn and Kayli fought a stone state come alive! OoC Izzy can roll initiative and join the fight, Raz, feel free to post in here. To traverse the house successfully in 1 round, give me an Investigation 13. I have Izzy added to the map as well.
