Cap Ut Posted March 17 Clone Share Posted March 17 (edited) Thinking about a demon sorcerer on the way to becoming a monk. But a couple questions first: which version of the rules are we using? It looks like the most updated version is 1.8 (the full change log is here)? What sources are allowed beyond the core rulebook? Vecnahand Posted March 17 Clone Share Posted March 17 I'm using 1.8 currently, simply downloaded the latest version from my account. I have all the SW PF books, granted for some options, I haven't decided yet on how to place some stuff in the Nentir Vale yet but its just stuff that aren't too relevant right now (like the prestige edges for Hellknight to just cite an example). Cap Ut Posted March 19 Author Clone Share Posted March 19 A doubt: would the ability of the Draconic Bloodline that gives +1 damage to appropriate powers affect Smite? Or is the boost to weapon damage not considered "power damage"? Name xDiceName xDiceResult xDiceString xDiceRolls

Like if your Smite is fire and your draconic bloodline is a Red Dragon, it will stack. If you pick smite and a trapping that doesn't match the Draconic bloodline, then no. Cap Ut Posted March 23 Author Clone Share Posted March 23 Still evaluating some other ideas, so a couple more questions: - Smite with Self limitation seems to be limited to a specific weapon? How specific exactly? Can it be changed if for example someone loses/change their main weapon? - I don't seem to have the updated Advanced Guide, so I'd like to have clear a couple things: Inquisitor's Mystic Powers can only boost Notice, Intimidation and Survival, correct? And how does the Mending cantrip work exactly? Name xDiceName xDiceResult xDiceString xDiceRolls

It only works for you. -Notice, Shooting and Survival when you get Mystic Powers at veteran rank. I don't see the mending cantrip but all powers can be used as "cantrips" version/lower versions. Oh, I see, I think you have the un-updated version too, because I found this in the changelog: Quote Advanced Player's Guide 1.2 -Mystic Powers (Inquisitor) (pg. 46): The inquisitor may boost Intimidation instead of Shooting. -Complex Cantrips (pg. 98): Added mending. That's basically how Quote In the case of smite with a Personal Limitation (see page 168), “Self” refers to the specific weapon instead. should be interpreted. Cap Ut Posted March 25 Author Clone Share Posted March 25 I guess only a couple doubts remain now: can I use a self-limited Smite with Additional Recipients to enhance multiple weapons on the PC? For example enhancing a ranged weapon and a sidearm together in case he finds himself in melee later on. And again about Additional Recipients (more in general now): does the caster need to maintain a power on all the recipients or can he terminate it selectively (keeping the power active on some recipients but not on others)? Anyway, I'm moving away a little from my original idea, going for a sorcerer archer instead (between the other characters I've seen, melee should be decently covered already 🙂). The idea in a nutshell is that of a half-orc raised by a lone wizard, who after a hard period after losing his guardian decided to get back out there, become an adventurer and possibly follow the wizard's footsteps (so basically planning to multiclass Wizard at some point and take Bonded Object for the +1 to Spellcasting). https://www.myth-weavers.com/sheets/?id=2890119 Name xDiceName xDiceResult xDiceString xDiceRolls
Vecnahand Posted March 25 Clone Share Posted March 25 (edited) It should be fine to smite multiple different weapons that way. Officially you have to terminate for everyone. From PEGmike: "Sorry for the late update, I was correct, you still have to terminate it for everyone. Its possible we were going to change it and decided not to, then missed the edit we had already done. " This wasn't updated for SW PF, so the description is still the same. Cap Ut Posted March 28 Author Clone Share Posted March 28 (edited) Tomorrow I should be able to write everything up. EDIT: Now the sheet is complete of description and backstory for Tharras 🙂 It should remain only to better format the gear section (I admit I'm finding myself a little short of space there). Let me know if I'm missing anything else! Edited March 29 by Cap Ut (see edit history) Name xDiceName xDiceResult xDiceString xDiceRolls
