Pedro's was always full of corpos at this time of day, and Giancarlo fit right into the crowd with his sharp pressed white suit, complete with rich red dress shirt underneath, with a matching belt and shoes as well.  His hair was kept short, professional like, and his glowing red Kiroshis scanned the place for familiar agents.  None of his mercs had arrived yet, but this was okay, he was enjoying his coffee.  Pedro's was famous for their coffee, and now he understood why, perhaps he would have to get the Don to see if there was anything he could give Pedro a hand with.  One hand on the handle of the mug, with the other pressed against the warm ceramic, he listened to the bustling noise of the cafe.  The corpo crowd down here were the younger crowd, with more bravado than experience, but that bravado made them talk, and simply by being surrounded by them, he had the opportunity to learn a thing or two from them, maybe something he could use going forward, after all, the Don was always interested in learning new things, he took his education quite seriously.  The cafe itself was quite modern, Pedro must have known his corpo crowd wouldn't have enjoyed the rustic look, or out of date look most cafes offered, so they had gone with white walls, multiple TVs above the bar itself that ran the news constantly, which you could channel your agent to log into, or simply read the subtitles if you weren't lazy.  The furniture was simple, black chairs with black metal tables with white plastic tops, making the whole place feel kind of like a strange chessboard in the opinion of the Don's man, but as long as the corpos found it comforting, he supposed Pedro knew what he was doing.

He had come early, as he always did, enjoying taking in the environment of his workplace.  Being in a rush was not his style, but he was soon to meet the people who had been hired, shortly after most of thse suits went and tucked themselves back into their offices to get back to work with whatever they did.  Coming early had been a boon on this one, by the looks of it, this office was never quiet, they would have some interesting espionage shit to pull off.

Makoko thanked the enthusiastic young woman who had taken her to the Center, Deane she had called herself, with a hug, before walking the last to blocks. The katana over her shoulder drew a few glances, but her unthreatening pose, the show costume (and the katana, maybe?) made sure that no one stopped her before her arrival at Pedro's.

She took a deep breath and straightened her shoulders - first impressions - before she sauntered in as if she owned the place. She stopped three steps inside, raised both hands in a theatrical "Here I am" and scanned the corps guzzling their coffees. She wondered who her employer's contact might be.

She spotted Luca's man right away, intuitively felt him stick out from the crowd. She turned her gaze on him, gave him a wink and lashed him a smile, before she made a beeline for his table. It was good she was first. Maybe her charms could smoothen the talk to come.

She knew it would be hard to leave an impression on one of the Don's men, but there wasn nothing wrong with giving it a shot.

Scythe dressed quickly. Armorjack. Blazer and slacks. Techhair and chemskin. Cyberdeck, knife, gun, bus pass. She arrived at the café a minute or so late, cursing public transport, and ducked unobtrusively inside, hovering by the entrance for a moment before spotting the employer. She walks carefully over, checking out the other merc. She didn’t recognize the woman, and she would not have forgotten such a… unique getup easily. She sets down at the table, nodding a greeting but waiting for Don’s man to speak. Casually, her hand rests on the but of the pistol in her pants pocket. It wasn’t likely that this was a set up. But you couldn’t be too safe.

Stern entered the cafe with a wary confidence, stopping only momentarily to take a look around try to read the room and find his contact, before making his way through the sea of suits. This was not his kind of cafe, then again these days if it was called a cafe it probably wasn't made with his sort of people in mind. Still the tech would ignore any looks, or insults his street-rat appearance got him unless it looked like something more serious was going to back it up and deliberately keep his hands where people could see them.

"A pleasure to make your aquaintances." He would say, primarily looking at Giancarlo, but offering a nod to Makoko and Scythe as well.

Giancarlo nodded as the first of the mercs arrived, she was a bit of a show off, a rockerboy sort it seemed.  Those types always grated on him, no respect for hard work and organization, just prideful and a force of personality and a hell of a lot of luck to get them through.  Still, they could come in handy I  the right circumstances, anyone who couldn't resist showing off certainly managed to make for a good distraction while the rest did their work.  He sipped his coffee slowly as she smiled warmly at him, softening some frayed edges regarding his initial judgement.  It was not fair to make general statements he supposed.

"Makoko I presume?"

The corpo had a brief summary of who he was supposed to meet.  This one met his expectations of someone who went by the handle of 'Magic'.  They may have even shared a moment of conversation, but it seemed the rest of his new hires were arriving.  The first was a put together serious looking woman, and the second, a rather disheveled (to say the least) fan of technology it looked like.  Perhaps Pedro's was not the ideal luncheon for them, he had not accounted for such a diverse and colorful set of resumes to be presented before him, and he did so prefer to keep a low profile.  Instead of drawing further attention to the initiation, he invited this newest arrival to sea themselves in the booth next to the, uh, clown as he acquainted himself with the rest.  Another sip of coffee.

"Well it looks like we have some promising new hires, perhaps you can introduce yourselves?  My client does so prefer to make sure he has a good understanding of who he is working with"

Stern would take a seat, ordering nothing as he probably couldn't afford anything from the Cafe anyway. "I go by Stern. Usually do technical work for some locals. Odd jobs here and there fixing things some gonk broke while scavenging. Or fine-tuning cyber for peak performance, Chrome is my main area of expertise. That being said, I'm good with most machines. No cars though. Never really picked up the mechanics trade." As he spoke, Stern would tap one finger on the table idly, after a moment the finger opening up to reveal the head of a screwdriver, changing the light thump to a sharper tap tap tap.

Makoko, realizing that the mobster was unimpressed, decided not to spoil it with the others, so she sat down without any further ado.

"People call me Magic Makoko", she said by ways of introduction. "It seems our employer needs a street magician."

She wondered whether she should pull some trick, but decided there would be time for that later.
