That there is honor in creating something worth fighting to protect. An ancient banner: A relic of his family line, passed down through the generations. It is said to have been carried by their ancestors from when the city was first founded, and carried by their family as they have helped protect the city ever sense. EQUIPMENT MONEY POUCH (2.2 lbs.) His eyes are a bluish, slate grey color. When out of his armor, he usually wears simple leathers and a heavy belt, usually with various tools to hammer and shape steel into his desired shape. With his new armor, he wears a heavy set of plate mail, gift by the King for their mission out to the Outlands. His axes each carry half the runic symbol for story bounded inside the symbol for iron, such that they complete the symbol when held against each other. Either way, he is almost always seen with a small hammer slung in his belt, a gift from his father long ago. Personality At times as straightforward as the axes he wields, Dal'ram Irontale holds honor, both personal and clan, above all. Along with his sense of honor, comes a sense of tradition, often clinging one to the other, reinforced by proverbs and historical sayings passed down to him from his parents. He is more than willing to stand by those he holds respectable, but is just as likely to scatter those he finds to be weak or without honor. He is generally willing to trust strangers, but once lost it is very difficult to get that trust back. He holds actions much higher in regard than words. BACKGROUND Acolyte of Clangeddin Silverbeard Source PHB Personality Traits: "I idolize a particular hero of my faith, and constantly refer to that person's deeds and example. I quote sacred texts and proverbs in almost every situation." Ideals: Tradition: "The ancient traditions of worship and sacrifice must be preserved and upheld." Bonds: "Everything I do is for the common people." Flaws: "I judge others harshly, and myself even more seriously." Background Feature: Shelter of the Faithful BACKSTORY Dal'ram grew up much as his father did, and his father before him, and his before him. It is something of a point of pride that his family can trace their lineage back to the beginning of Highhome. Since those ancient days, they have held to certain traditions, raising the next generation to uphold the rites of Clangeddin Silverbeard. As such, Dal'ram grew up with great expectations of what he would be and do. Even as fewer of their numbers remained with each passing generation, his parents still maintained their temple to Clangeddin. And it was there that Dal'ram spent much of his time growing up. There he learned to fight, to pray, to command, to smith, and all the other skills they wished of him. With every new milestone, they passed on a little bit more of the family legacy. First was the banner, a piece of that first banner their ancestor carried into what would eventually be the stronghold of Highhome. With this he was taught the family tradition to protect the clan. Second was the anvil, a symbol of the enduring honor, forged over the years, of the family. And with the creation of such a thing, the need to maintain it as one would anything else crafted with care. And third were his axes, pasted from father to son. Each bore half the marking of their house, for one was not complete without the other, as tradition and honor were incomplete without the other. The last year had been hard for Dal'ram and his family. Several of his clan had succumbed to the Stoneblood sickness. He took on more and more of the duties at the temple, as the others fell to it. Now the king called for some to venture forth to find a cure, Dal'ram stood forth to join those few, even as he watched his own parents pulled away to the quarantine section. He would find a cure, he would protect his own, or he would die trying. That was the way of his family, how could he do less for them.
