APPEARANCE

With pale skin and raven hair, Nistarya is clearly far away from home. She's most likely from one of the northern nations, though her appearance is vague enough not to betray her origins. The woman has long dark hair, eyes the color of hazel, long legs which make her look tall, and a striking silhouette. She speaks with an argentine voice which is slightly accented.

Nistarya tends to dress in darker colors such as black and blue. According to her, the contrast goes well with her complexion and underlines the color of her hair. It is obvious the woman cares about her own appearance and is mindful of giving a good impression. Truly, Nistarya has an air of sophistication which sets her apart from common peasants. Whether she's a real aristocrat or simply puts on a carefully constructed mask, remains to be seen.

When adventuring, Nistarya is not afraid to add protective gear to her outfit of choice. She prefers light, easily concealable armor such as leather jerkins or small chain shirts. The woman also carries at least a small blade on herself at all times, though fighting in close combat is the last thing crossing her mind. In fact, she'd rather use the small, deadly crossbow while hiding behind her companions.

 

PERSONALITY

Nistarya is both independent and unpredictable. She appreciates spontaneity and hates having to conform for no good reason. The woman is sometimes impulsive and willing to take risks, if she feels that the potential gain is worth it; so far, she's always come out ahead, but she knows that luck is not a loyal mistress. On the other hand, Nistarya is - without a doubt - pragmatic and adaptable. She prefers to take the path of least resistance, given even the slightest chance. The woman's cunning enough to outsmart most of those who cross her, and so Nistarya is used to have it her way.

It is fortunate that the woman has the sheer charisma to make people ignore the worst qualities of her whimsical nature. Truth be told, Nistarya has great skill when it comes to influencing others. She is a consummate liar and a great diplomat. The woman firmly believes that dangerous situations which can't be defused by a well placed word are rare. In her experience, everybody wants something - it's just a matter of finding out what that is, and using that knowledge for some simple manipulation.

Failing that, Nistarya is confident that her magic can give her the edge needed to overcome the worst situations - even if that just means going invisible and fleeing. After all, to be truly in danger means that one has already failed. Better to retreat and find a different way to tackle the problem.

 

BACKGROUND

Like many other adventurers, Nistarya has traveled all the way from the north, drawn by Undermountain's call. The woman is not new to adventuring - in fact, that's just what she'd been doing for the last few months. It was harder business than it looked, especially if one had no solid leads, yet Nistarya has always known she'd prefer the unknown to a boring, regular life.

She's both mildly annoyed and intrigued by the visions she's received. It is obvious their sender is a powerful mage... One with plenty of riches and interesting trinkets. It hasn't taken Nistarya long to find out that she's not the only one who's been lured to the endless dungeon. And even though she's late, the woman is intentioned to come out on top of the crowd rushing to the deadly depths.
