once the game starts not sure if its the classic we gather at the inn start or not but can we try a few rounds of money gathering before we go? the dude with the cow sells it the begger begs the minstril does his thing to see if we can get a few extra coins. lol

 

if my two can get enough to pool to get either a suit of padded armor or a mace then they will decide among themselves who should get it and then protect the other until more gear can be gotten.
