Chimi Posted May 3, 2023 Clone Share Posted May 3, 2023 In the Dice Wizard the Fate option only allows one thing: Rolling 4dF and applying a modifier. Similarly the Dice String command is fate(modifier) for, again, 4dF with a modifier. Some Fate Games require more (or maybe less) dice than this. Could the Fate dice command/wizard be altered to accommodate? I would suggest that the Wizard simply allow the number of dice (pre-filled with 4 if possible) and modifier, and for the String I would suggest fate(dice, modifier) such as fate(8,-2). Adraius Posted August 18, 2023 Clone Share Posted August 18, 2023 I'll second the desire for this. A game I'm part of is using a system that requires rolling a different number of Fate/fudge dice.
Butchern Posted August 18, 2023 Clone Share Posted August 18, 2023 I third this request! For anyone else who needs it, as a short-term fix, you can replicate the Fate die result by rolling 1d3-2. That will give you a result of either -1, 0, or +1 on the roll. You can add modifiers on top of that. It isn't perfect, but it works when needed.
