With no time to regard its wretched form, she turns to see the other two struggling with the ones that had engaged them - the bloody woman particularly so. "Step back before it harms you again - she will handle it," her voice says.

Lyrical steps across to the thing that had torn at Bloody Woman's body and attempts to drive the knife into its throat as well. "There is no place for you here, standing in the path of the living," she announces. "Be dead, maggotkin."

"Let's see if we can do better this time," Grin laughs as he steps toward the corpse before him. He once again lashes out with the knife.

The bloody woman stepped back to catch her breath a moment, allowing Lyrical to take her place. But there was no time to dawdle. The eyes of her Goddess were upon her. "After you, m'lady!" she said in a high-pitched tone.

Circling around to the side, the woman tried to punch the dead-thing. She chose not to imbue her fists with power, as she was in a weakened state. It hadn't hit all that hard, but was enough to still crack a few ribs.

Round 2 continues...

As the bloody woman punched the zombie, Lyrical attempted to follow-up with a knife jab. Unfortunately, she'd misjudged the distance and the blade swiped ineffectually before its face. She had been thrown off just enough to cause her foot to slip and right into its oncoming worm-riddled claws. They drug across her leathers, raking the flesh a beneath just a bit..

Grin fared a bit better, able to jab his knife into the creature's abdomen. As he wrenched it free, his hand felt worms pour out onto it. He shook them free but the dead-man was already far too close for it to matter. It's left hand was missing, replaced with a sharp, boney wrist it staked into the rogue. With no armor, the bone jabbed right into his side, causing a trickle of blood.

Mutt shook his head back and forth and growled, ready to get back into the fight.

OOC

You both take 1 damage.

The sting of one of those claws breaching the protective layer is no match for the general 'always in pain' of her exposed musculature, but it certainly struck a nerve that was already plenty overwhelmed with stimuli.

The young woman steps back a moment, holding the spot with a free hand while Grin and his Mutt take a turn striking the thing while it is still focused on its victory of her guard. If it could focus at all. She looks down to the bone-faced creature at her side, which gives a quizzical look as if to ask 'should I? That dog is doing it'. "No, she has need of you, stay back."

And with that, Lyrical turns the knife around in her hand and steps in with an almost mechanical, downward strike at the thing's sternum, almost as if she'd split it in two.

Pulling his knife from the dead things abdomen, Grin lets out a satisfying giggle. Worms pour from the wound. Giving his hand a shake to dislodge some of the squirming creatures he realizes, almost to late, that the dead thing has sent a pointed nub of boney wrist his way. Grin manages to sidestep the attack, just barely.

Grin's eyes go wide, almost as wide as his smile. "Sneaky little thing, aren't you?" He cackles wildly.

He slashes out with the knife again. "Lets see if you have more than just worms inside."
