Name Geoffrey Carmichael
Clan Malkavian (11th Gen)

Nature Perfectionist
Demeanor Scientist

Sire Jelena Seremkova

Date of Birth: April 12th, 1967
Date of Embrace: August 9th, 1996

Place of Birth: St. Louis, Missouri
Place of Death: Richmond, Virginia

Personality

Geoffrey has some serious trust issues. He hates people, kin or Kindred doesn't matter. But then again he doesn't like being all alone either. He wishes he did though, because everything is easier when alone. But it's boring. He loves to have someone to discuss intellectually with. There's the internet and online communities of course but he doesn't trust that either, probably even less.

He is a perfectionist and is rarely satisfied by anything, there are always flaws that should be fixed. Four is the perfect number so he tries to structure his life around that. He can never have more than four people he actually trusts, when sitting on numbered seats in a theatre for example he always tries to get number four, alternatively a number that is divisible by four. Anything else and he loses his temper. Anything that can be attached to a number and makes sense must be four, alternatively divisible by four.

He never trusts blue-eyed people as he thinks the saying that blue eyes symbolize honesty is completely wrong. Own experiences.

He analyzes everything in the deepest details.

He is often seen with a takeaway mug of coffee and actually sips from it. Of course, it has to come up at some point each night but it's an old habit from his mortal days as an agent that he just keeps. Occasionally he also gets a pack of fresh donuts that he munches. This is usually a sign of stress.

Appearance

Geoffrey is quite tall at 6'3 with a somewhat lanky build. He almost always wears suits and ties in immaculate condition, but they are outdated by a couple of years or even decades. His shoes are also always in shiny condition, usually of brown leather and again rarely from the fashion of the last decade.

He has dirty blond hair and hazel eyes. When he gets nervous or agitated, which happens quite often, he rubs and pinches his ears with his fingers, one at a time but switching every so often.

History

Geoffrey's biological parents were young hippies in the 60s. His mother put him up for adoption immediately after giving birth. So he was placed with a foster family in his birth city, St. Louis. He didn't get much love from his foster parents, but it was a stable upbringing and he did well in school. His foster father was a police officer and when teenager Geoffrey expressed an interest in police work he was encouraged to follow that path.

At the police academy, he was noticed early by an instructor from the FBI for his eidetic memory and investigative talents so he was given an offer to come to Quantico and start training as a federal agent. Geoffrey thought it sounded interesting and accepted. He graduated as an agent in record time and was sent on minor cases as a junior agent. In 1996, now a more experienced agent, he was sent to Richmond, Virginia to investigate some strange killings. He took on an undercover identity, Jeremy Douglas, which became his official name until recently when it was blown.

The killings he investigated were Masquerade mess-ups by the local Tremere and it was very close that he managed to bust them. But then his Sire, Jelena Seremkova, a Russian-descended Malkavian came along and Embraced him. She had studied him for some time and didn't care much about the Tremere or the Masquerade, but she had fallen in love with Geoffrey and his paranoia so when the opportunity appeared she took it.

The newly embraced Malkavian had to call off the operation against the Tremere, but he kept his alias as an FBI agent working undercover. He reported back to his mortal bosses at irregular intervals and mostly worked on his own. Meanwhile, he worked his way up in the local Kindred society and finally got appointed as Sheriff by the Prince of Richmond. This wasn't taken very well by a majority of the local vampires so he never had an easy time in his role, but he did quite well for a couple of years.

However, as a perfectionist, his aborted mission against the Tremere kept haunting him. He had kept all the evidence against them and finally, he couldn't help himself to pass it on to the Bureau, without any information about their undead status of course. The aftermath was a mess. The Prince learned about the fed's operation to attack the Tremere when they were all gathered and he had to take action to keep up the Masquerade. Three Tremere vampires and ten federal agents died that night in a massive cover-up story. Geoffrey's undercover identity was blown and he lost his title. A few months later he got an offer to move to Savannah, Georgia. An offer he couldn't refuse.
