Name: Ilyrana Shazorwyn

Race: Elf (Fey Sighted)

Class: Witch (Fey Gifts - Trickery)

Sheet: Ilyrana Shazorwyn :: Pathfinder :: Myth-Weavers Online Character Sheets

Appearance: Tall, slender and frail, Ilyrana looks like a walking skeleton. Her hair however is blacker than a ravens feathers, she adorns it with small skulls and any objet d'art that takes her fancy. She wears a heavy spun dress that she has made herself, her fingers are covered with runes and tipped with metal. Her dark blue eyes are piercing and have thin black rims that make them look almost black, she wears a wry smile that belies the pain she is in mentally.

Personality: Ilyrana is not evil, far from it in fact. She will help anyone that would need that help unless they held evil in their hearts, she has healed the good folk of Arwyll Stead for over a century. Ilyrana is a dedicated soul and will always follow up on any promises that she makes, Ilyrana has a soft spot for the orphans she see's roaming the streets. She will often try to find them a home, occasionally she will fail and she will be forced to take them to the orphanage. She checks in on the orphanage as often as she can to make sure the children are being looked after.

Raised around the Fangwood Forest, Ilyrana was always interested in magic. She wanted to be a famous wizard or sorceress and defeat the demons or the orc warlords, banish the hated drow back into their holes, she would command the troops into battle and kill the evil lich. She had been known to idle a day away just dreaming of some great victory, when at her lessons she seemed to take no notice but seldom made a mistake. It was on her one hundredth birthday that the vision came to her in her sleep, it told her great secrets and how to become a witch. When she awoke she grabbed a little fruit and headed into the forest, after several hours she came to a ruined tower in a clearing. She approached the door and it opened before she even got there, upon entering she found that there was a library with many dusty tomes and a cauldron that was full of clean water and there was a fire under it. Looking in the cupboards she found edible food and made a great deal of stew in the cauldron, once she had ate she began to look at the bookcase. One of the tomes slid out from the lowest shelf, she took the book and sat at the table to study it. Parchment appeared and she began to write notes as she read, the book was written like an instruction manual on magical lore. She continued to read and had not realised that she had been at it for a whole day, entering the next room she found a bed and some sheets as well as blankets. The spirit that guided her told her to sleep, eat and work in that order, so she did.

When she had finished the bottom row she was able to cast cantrips and had called a familiar (an albino weasel she called Winter), when she reached 105 she was able to cast a small number of spells and use magical effects called hexes. She was now able to return home and was able to bring a book with her, not a spellbook but a book to record her life's work. Her parents had thought her dead and had had her buried, she began to re-aquatint herself with her friends and offered her services to to town council. Should there be a need to defend the town she would be able to heal the guards and even use some of her powers to defeat the enemy, over the next ten years she honed the basic skills of magic. By the time the devils were seen working with the orcs she was ready to take on the role of town defender, she was was now considered a force to be reckoned with.
