Detailed Description

Looking to recruit one to two PCs. The game is set on an island in the Eye of the Eye of Abendego, the eternal storm of Golarion. There is no way off the island that the shipwrecked PCs know of. They are currently between a rock and a hard place, given that there's nowhere to run to. They are guardians and protectors of civilians shipwrecked with them... the game's economic core.

PCs are now 4th level.

  1. What's new in this game
  2. It is the kingdom building rules from Ultimate Campaign. I believe that Kingmarker e1 version used them or a variant of them.
  3. It's all good. I'm not familiar with the rules but I was just wanting to know. Where are the rules so that I can check them out? Was it Kingmaker or somewhere else?
  4. Based on kingdom sizes, there is a limited to the number of city improvements that can be completed in a month. We can have one a month at our size, but not everything counts as one. The first improvement of housing doesn't count towards the limit, so we did the housing and one wall.
  5. Fair enough. If we prioritized the wall instead of improving housing also, could we finish the whole thing? BTW. Garvin had Craft: Traps and Professional: Trapper skills. We can use that to shore up security around the compound or harvest food. He also has good levels of stealth and survival so he's sort of rangery but not 100%. So work that into the algorithm as needed.
  6. We are using the kingdom/settlement subsystem building rules. Those turns are month long. Some people are working the farm lands while other others working in the smithy. Then other people are rebuilding the walls and repairing the house. It covers all of the routine day to day tasks such as cutting wood, cooking, child care, animal care, people patrolling the village, and etc are baked into the monthly turn. It simplifies the process and bookkeeping, but it doesn't allow for micro tweaks to the time such casting guidance or cannibalizing walls. This approach also assumes that a proper wall is being built. The doors on the gatehouse would require a battering ram to be forced opened. The top of the wall would have a parapet and rampart.
  7. If the outbuildings are cannibalized, that might allow for the completion of the wall all the way around by the end of the month. Big plus for security.
  8. Not really a question for me. I don't know the economy rules. I believe Rakle and Dhemon are handling that aspect.
  9. If Raziel hands out Guidance cantrips like candy during the rebuild, (+1 skill check) - Can cast 10 per minute ad infinitum - Will that speed things up or grant us any usable bonuses?
  10. The cannibilization of the buildings outside the walls will cut the effort required in half.
  11. This month's work will build/repair the western wall and a gatehouse to it. We will also be repairing and upgrading the buildings that are defined as housing.
  12. Yes. It is likely the lizardfolk have made an expanse similar to what beavers make, and that subsurface infiltration from the weight of water behind the wall is flowing outwards towards the sea and past the village below the surface. It is likely that without lizardfolk water management and engineering, the water table would be much lower and thus subject to salt water infiltration.
  13. What is the building and water pool in the Southeast portion of the map? There is a similar pool in town. Fresh water well?
  14. Ok, so that's Roll20 invites sent. When you sign up, I'll be able to link you to your icons.
  15. Awesome. A picture is worth a thousand words. Let me know what game to join up with on Roll d20. I have an account already.
  16. There were 18 buildings outside of the walls. The needs of the main wall outweighed the needs of outbuildings. :) I'll work up a Roll20 icon for the new guys tomorrow.
  17. What is the building with the stone watering pool?
  18. Oh right, you guys aren't on the map yet. We have 9 buildings inside the palisade wall (still under repair) including the big house and the smithy. There are 18 buildings outside the wall.
  19. How big is the settlement in terms of area? How many buildings? I know about the big house and the smithy.
  20. It sounds cool. I can go sword and board when necessary. I'm a fightery fighter.
  21. I have always played with the assumption that if I get a bonus I had better make sure that the GM knows about it.
  22.
