BACKGROUND
Beaumont was born and raised inside the city of Specularum, the capital of the Grand Duchy of Karameikos to Guerrand and Selera Visconti. The Visconti family was a wealthy, yet untitled family that owned the land that their larger than average estate was built upon. Guerrand, although not a lord, was close to it as he was a well-known follower of Vanya, the Patroness of War and Conquerors. More than once he and the company that he commanded had been called upon to put down some uprising or to quell what would have become a full-blown riot. And he had been handsomely rewarded for his efforts.
However, his many successes also earned him a lot of enemies. One of those many enemies was one Rael Donabriaggo, a vampire that one fateful night decided to exact his revenge. The creature slipped into the estate and made its way to the master chamber. There a fight ensued during which, Selera was knocked to the floor unconscious and Guerrand was pressed up against the wall with the creatures hand pressed firmly against his throat when an unsuspecting Beaumont entered.
The vampire hissed at the young man just before sinking its teeth into Guerrand's neck. Beaumont rushed to help his father but was knocked back by the creature's incredible speed and strength. The young man crumbled to the floor next to his mother where consciousness fled from him.
When they awoke, there was no sign of Guerrand. It was at that moment that Beaumont gained a special hatred for vampires and quickly learned everything that he could about them. He then worked and trained hard so that he could take his father's place as a follower of Vanya. Now, he spends his time searching for any sign of his father or Rael Donabriaggo as he wanders the Known World searching for vampires to vanquish.
That should do it for Beaumont. He is ready for review.
