(IC) Requisitions (IC)

Nestled deep within the administrative heart of Site 11, Mimi Applegate's Requisitions Office is a place of both intrigue and frustration. Stepping through the somewhat inconspicuous door, you find yourself in a space that seems to exist outside of time. The office itself is a manifestation of order and bureaucracy, meticulously organized, and dominated by an air of stern efficiency.

As you enter, you're greeted by a spartan waiting area. Uncomfortable plastic chairs line the walls, their hard surfaces seemingly designed to discourage lingering. Stark fluorescent lighting casts an unflattering pallor on anyone unlucky enough to be seated there, while a selection of outdated magazines, neatly organized but rarely read, is scattered on a small table. An assortment of plastic boxes are on a near by wall, each container marked with a letter or number in a poor attempt to make the overwhelming amount of forms somewhat manageable complete with chained pens attached to a waist high counter.

At the front of the office, a tall, counter-like partition separates the waiting area from the inner sanctum. Here, Mimi Applegate herself can often be seen peering over the top, her disapproving eyes scrutinizing those who dare approach her domain. The counter is equipped with a metal slide, an antiquated yet curiously effective relic, allowing paperwork to pass from the outside world to the inner sanctum without direct contact. in the glass partition a beat up telecom, with a faded, "press here to talk," sticker barely legible underneath it, with Mimi having a habit of ignoring her "customers" them if the button it not being used, with an inside joke of the site to refer to the intercom as "Mimi's hearing aid,"

The walls of the office are lined with towering filing cabinets, each drawer labeled with meticulous precision. They contain the collective knowledge of Site 11, storing decades of requisition requests and bureaucratic history. The air carries a faint, musty scent of paper and aging documents.

Mimi, a legend of the site for her ornery demeanor, and an uncanny ability to recall regulations and bureaucratic details, making it nearly impossible to outwit her. However, most have the goal of getting on her good side as her expertise of site regulations enables her to find loop holes and mistakes in regulations that make it seem she has more authority then the Site director himself.
