  1. Greetings! Looking at the logs, you're using Safari version 14, which is old enough that it lacks a good deal of support for the current web-standard stylesheets. Upgrading to at least Safari 16 is recommended (the latest major version is 17); alternatively, you can explore Chrome or Firefox recent versions.
  2. It's from the table on Page 29 of the blue book. Which I misread, it's 19 for thieves at level 4.
  3. The module does suggest that the party include at least one cleric and at least one magic-user/elf. So depending on whether Modric, Bobcloclimar, or Chardastes are interested in playing a cleric, I might nudge your lean 😀
  4. Hiring Mercenaries Hiring Seafarers Captain, 250 gp/month Navigator, 150 gp/month Sailor, 10 gp/ month Hiring Specialists Armorer, 100 gp/month Smith, 25 gp/month Animal Handler, 10 gp/month
  5. Good to see some characters coming together. The module is designed for a group of 6-10 characters, and we have 7 potential players now, so we're right in the zone for a good time. If you have any questions about character options or design, feel free to ping me here or in your personal thread. While there is some seafaring required at the beginning and end of the adventure (to/from the island), no character is required to be a sailor by background. Options for acquiring transport include: You could buy or take a loan for a small ship (5,000gp), and hire a crew You could hire a ship for passage (2,500gp, plus expenses) You could be hired by a merchant to explore the island (payment terms to be negotiated) You could agree to be shipwrecked on the island (an epic challenge!)
  6. Looks mostly good; a few things: You'll need to roll for HP (4d4) using the Myth-Weavers dice roller (dice icon top-right of each post) Damage bonus should be +0 Thac0 should be 18 19 Subtract the cost of your equipment from your 2,000gp Select a magic item
  7. No worries. If you want, you can always fall back on BBcode using the 🔀 button, or just stick with basic text. I'm not picky on formatting 😀
  8. Good to see a couple characters coming together. pesukarhu caught the missing assets section in my character sheet template, so I'll get that fixed here shortly. Meanwhile, if you've got a concept and want some feedback on how to make it fit, feel free to post questions here or in your own new thread. While there is some seafaring required at the beginning and end of the adventure (to/from the island), no character is required to be a sailor by background. Options for acquiring transport include: If you want to have a seafaring background, you could choose a boat/small ship as an Asset You could hire a ship for passage (some sort of Vow for repayment?) You could be hired by a merchant to explore the island (some sort of Vow to get paid?) You could agree to be shipwrecked on the island (an Epic journey!)
  9. Ernstyr was nervous in the land of the Beornings. Not because he was ill at ease among strange peoples, but because in his heart he knew they had scarcely escaped the prior battle. His healing skill, meager as it was, had been the difference of life and death for Dahr-Ol; and yet, Elfwynn suffered and Walar died. His hands were not those of a true healer. And yet, knowing they were bidden return, to find what Radagast sought and to reveal the secrets of the wakening shadow. His touch would be called upon again. So he spent the time in study, gathering and preparing herbs and roots and bandages and other supplies he knew would be needed 'ere battle found the company again. The drudgery of the march did not wear on the Woodman, who loved being in the wild lands most of all. But as the destination neared, a bit of Magric's caution crept into him. He felt a chill that seemed to have no source. Now, with the Dwimmerhorn at hand, he wrapped his cloak tightly about his body and stared up at the forbidding mount. "We should at least circle the place and make note of its features. A more suitable natural defense would be hard to craft by hand. With enough supplies, our little company could hold out against a whole army. There must be a sally somewhere..."
  10. Definitely makes sense. Instead of choosing a magic item, you could have 5 spells of your choice to add to your book; or, I can choose 5 spells at random instead of a random magic item. Whichever way works better for your design.
  11. I think it probably makes sense for Ernstyr to assign Fellowship Focus to Dahr-Ol at this point. Net other benefits added to character sheet: +2 Hope +4 XP +2 APs
  12. From the advertisement: In lieu of rolling 3d6 six times in order, you may choose the ability scores that you feel best represent your character and make for a fun and fair adventure for you and the rest of the group.
  13. It's probably far more likely they were imported multiple times from the old site before we got smart(er) about imports.
  14. No. Yes. Since this is a hexploration game, yes. I'll post the table in a reference thread. You aren't bound by the rolls, so fear not! 😀
  15. Wayfinder would probably be more scout-y while Wildblood would be woodland-specific as written. The island is a tropical rainforest/jungle so there are places Wildblood would shine, but Wayfinder is probably more generally useful in the scenario. Herbalist would have its uses, certainly. Finding it among the jungle would be an interesting "side-quest". Either way is fine as far as attributes--there are always trade-offs--but your logic about being Wits-first seems sound.
  16. Feel free to make your own thread for your character. I also added a Sheets tab so you can link a MW Basic D&D sheet.
  17. Scales nicely for all devices. Feel free to use or not.

  19. I think these will both work fine. I can easily think of plausible reasons for them to want to explore the forbidden island, and yet I'm sure you both can come up with better ones 😆
  20. While I don't consider this a "first-come-first-served" sort of game, I expect I'll have room for everyone who's interested. The application process consists of finishing your character and interacting with the rest of the virtual table 😀
  21. This is what I get for going from memory with most of my books in the dungeon storage unit while the house is under construction 😆 And I might even be remembering a quote I read somewhere and it's not actually in a book. In any case, I'm in favor of letting players pick the scores that bring them joy. It'll be obvious if this is a power grab. LL is close. I know the cleric spell progression is different, and there might be other small nuances that would need to be tweaked to match BECMI.
