  1. That's cool. I'm totally in favor of a simpler system that relies more on roleplaying. That's the whole point, in my view.

It sounds really cool, man. I can't wait.

  2. I kinda like 7S because it is simpler, and there won't be a lot of need for rogue abilities like MS or Disable device. Focus more on Ride skills and diplomacy. Lots of role play and research. It won't be off the ground for a good while. I'm going to have to research all the nobility and the area (i.e. what castles were there and such.)
  3. Sweet!

Honestly, I've never played 7th Sea, but I've heard good things. I'm not wild about 3.5, but it IS the most popular, and the one you'll probably draw a bigger crowd with. I know Isannah knows 7th Sea, she'd be the one to ask about it. But I'd definitely be up for a non-3.5 game. How complicated is 7S to learn?

As for the Welsh vs. Norman question, it doesn't really matter to me.

  4. Yo, dude, I'm working on that Historical campaign we talked about but I need some feedback. What system would you prefer? 3.5 or Seventh Sea? Have you played both? It would have to be no magic for obvious reasons. Welsh or Norman English? Let me know.
