With his spectacles changing lenses, he observed the wisps dancing around his companion, noting their interactions with keen interest. His mind buzzed with questions—what were these ethereal apparitions, and how did they relate to the mysteries surrounding Kutaeg and the rocking chair? Yet, amidst the allure of the dancing lights, Grommash's gaze fell upon the storage containers lining the cellar. His eyes widened at the sight of a workbench, a treasure trove of materials and potential discoveries. His inner hoarder yearned to catalogue and explore every item, but caution prevailed. Before indulging his impulses, Grommash knew he must first ensure that these dancing lights posed no harm to his companions. With a resolute nod, he focused his attention on the wisps, his analytical mind probing their nature and intent. OOC: He is seeing if they seem to be harmful to Bhalgurn but also investigating the workbench for anything that catches his eyes. His mind was a whirlwind of thoughts, primarily focused on devising reasons to deny the haunting nature of their surroundings. However, where Grommash's attention faltered, Gundin's comprehension shone, despite his lack of organic senses. The mechanical construct, understanding Bhalgurn's intent through some unfathomable means, turned its attention toward the entranced Kutaeg. Gundin paused, a moment of hesitation that almost seemed contemplative, as if the machine were weighing its options or considering the potential consequences of its actions. Then, with a determination that belied his metallic form, Gundin reached forward to lift Kutaeg from the clutches of the rocking chair, which seemed to hold the bard in an unnatural grip. Scratching the top of his balding head, he turned to Bhalgurn, explaining the arcane patterns he discerned. A sinister grin crept over his face as he suggested, half-jokingly, "We could see if Gundin can yank or slap him out of this trance." The mischievous twinkle in his eye revealed a readiness for experimentation, a trait that had guided him through countless forges and fantastical realms alike. The prospect of unraveling the mysteries before them, even at the risk of jest, fueled the old dwarf's sense of adventure. 7. Question for the DM. Not sure how to utilize Guidance in MW. I think its in character to say Grommash would annoyingly be over the shoulder of the others doing normal activities unless he is occupied or quick action is required.
  8. Grommash - Dwarf Artificer AC: 16 | HP: 49/59 | HD: 7/7d8 | Initiative: +1 | PP: 10 | Magical Tinkering: 2/2 | Flash of Genius: 3/3 | Bullets: 40/40 | DM Inspiration: 0/1 As Kutaeg, seemingly entranced, was drawn into the rocking chair, Grommash took a step back, his scruffy chin feeling the tug of contemplation. In the midst of his pondering, Gundin, ever vigilant and attuned to mystical anomalies, knelt down to meet Kutaeg's eyes. With a metallic snap of his fingers, a low groan escaped Grommash, a signal that the unusual occurrence was beyond his immediate comprehension. Without the need for words, Gundin, anticipating the need, produced a contraption crafted by Grommash himself. A marvel of ingenuity, the contraption mirrored the effects of Detect Magic, a tool designed to unveil the hidden forces at play. Grommash, holding the contraption in his hands, activated it with a deliberate gesture. The device hummed to life, its enchanted mechanisms resonating with the pulse of magic in the room. As Grommash swept the contraption over the scene, his eyes narrowed with the focus of a craftsman. The hidden threads of magic, once concealed, were now laid bare before him. In this melding of technology and mysticism, Grommash sought to unravel the enchantments that surrounded Kutaeg and the rocking chair. The air hummed with possibilities as the dwarf, armed with his own creation and a keen mind, delved into the mystical tapestry that woven itself around the unsuspecting dwarf in the enchanted seat. OOC: If its ok I want Grommashs spells to be more contraptions he has made. His keen, intellectual mind refused to bow to the notion of ghosts, seeking instead a reasonable explanation for the mysterious motion. As if sensing his internal debate, Gundin nudged him gently, urging him into the room. With a shake of his head, Grommash extended his hand into the air, as if grasping for an answer that eluded him. In a seamless motion, Gundin responded by placing a pair of spectacles into his outstretched hand. These were no ordinary glasses; they boasted an array of lenses, each of different sizes, shapes, and colors. The interplay of colors and shapes revealed a tapestry of possibilities, and in this moment, Grommash, with his intellect and the aid of Gundin's ingenious invention, sought to unveil the truth that danced just beyond the realm of ordinary perception. "Eh, going to have to buff those out!" he yelled over the tumult of the ocean. As Gundin began ascending the cliff, Grommash's gaze turned upward. Above, Bhalgurn scaled the precipice with the agility of a mountain goat. Determination etched on his face, Grommash rolled up his already rolled-up sleeves, ready for the challenge that lay ahead. With a gruff determination, he started the climb, each foothold and handhold a testament to his resilience.
