  1. Jonny Chen OCV: 6 | DCV: 7 | Stun: 50/50 | Body: 20/20 | End: 40/40 | Conditions: none "Seems like a good idea." A very good idea, Hair Twirler was definitely not in any place to be doing anything but going to bed. Having got the girls safely home, Jonny takes the rest of the night off, not that there was much left anyhow. He could have probably picked up a few late partiers but no need. Dropping by the club the next week, Jonny reluctantly turns down the job, spinning some BS about needing a flex schedule because of some family drama. He knows the club would be just as happy if the troublemakers went elsewhere, but he would rather encourage them to not make trouble at all, hard to do when tied down to a specific spot all evening. "Best I can do is park around here sometimes when I'm between clients. Won't take any money for that, but it's unpredictable enough to give those bums some pause, maybe spread word to their buddies, give you a little less trouble anyhow." Jonny intends to keep an eye out for the trio, not that he'd give them any trouble if they seemed to be behaving themselves, but maybe just seeing him around would act as a reminder to keep civilized. 2. Made a minor tweak to skills, the +2 CSL Defensive Mastery (three related maneuvers) seemed a bit much (he didn't even use it, I was a bity iffy on it anyhow), I dropped it to a +1 with Martial Block, freeing up 4 points, used to raise KS: Sovereign City and get familiarity with Navigation (Land) and Tactics.
  3. AC: 28 HP: 101/101 Focus: 2/2 Hero Points: 2 Perception: +12 Condition: Shield: Hardness 10 HP: 96/96 (48) Battle Medicine: Boradur takes his time with the pillar, wanting to be certain it's inert and not easily repaired. As he does, he tries studying the magic that animated the pillar, curious about what sort of magic it might have been, whether arcane, divine or primal. Mechanics Hand 1: Hammer Hand 2: Shield Action 1: Stride Action 2: Stride Action 3: Stride Even without taking any difficult terrain into account, it will take more than a full round for Boradur to reach the fallen pillar.
  4. Oh yeah, Roll 20 is fine. Use it in most of the PF2 games I've been in.
  5. Jonny Chen OCV: 6 | DCV: 7 | Stun: 50/50 | Body: 20/20 | End: 40/40 | Conditions: none Double? Well, that changes things a bit. Jonny looks again to see if club security has noticed the scuffle outside their doors, sure enough, here they come, too late to do anything truly useful. One big bruiser, check, one glad hander type who can smooth things over without a fight, check. Addressing the smoother, Jonny lays out his case. "These ladies would like to be on their way home quickly. Best we just put this down to too much booze and a drunken fall. He wants to sell a different story when he wakes up, you can get ahold of me then, but I'd bet he won't insist too hard." Jonny can see they aren't quite buying it, maybe he was too obviously eager to leave. Still, they don't want too much attention or trouble, they might let him slide anyhow. Mechanics Figuring club security is mostly interested in making sure the big guy survives (nothing quite like a passed-out patron choking on their own vomit on your sidewalk to ruin a club's cachet) and knowing they can track him down through Uber if they have to, Jonny will gladly hand over contact information and hopefully head for the hills. Gonna make a Persuasion roll just in case.
  6. I think they're trying for the automatic success check, which AFAIK only checks individual dice because it's really intended to count successes in dice pools. Not sure there's a way to do that with totaled dice (there might have been in the old roller, I never used it that way so I'm not certain) but honestly, comparing a total isn't really a task that should need automated.
  7. Jonny Chen OCV: 6 | DCV: 7 | Stun: 50/50 | Body: 20/20 | End: 40/40 | Conditions: none Jonny watches for a moment as the two creeps flee, satisfied that neither seems to be just retreating before pulling a gun or some such nonsense (not really expected outside 'Glitz', but you never know) he turns to the two girls. "Drunks, can't fight worth a darn and always eager to prove it. You two OK?" He looks down at the big guy on the sidewalk with visible annoyance. "Probably going to have to get club security out here to take care of this guy, kinda surprised they haven't showed up yet. They might want me to stick around to make a statement to the cops, if they do, you'll probably want to call for another driver." Jonny sounds quite casual about the potential to change plans, but inside he's seething a bit about the lost money. He's had a good weekend, certainly enough to keep him from living on cheap dried ramen, but it could have been good enough to get him a bit of extra time for Iron Tiger to go looking for trouble, maybe find out who's been knocking over so many corner stores lately. Or find out who's behind a particularly nasty batch of synthetic heroin that's started making the rounds. Or a hundred other things going on and that's just the stuff he's heard about. There's just never enough time, between working, training and sleeping, he just can't seem to get much done on the streets, not to mention the complete lack of a social life. Mechanics
  8. Jonny Chen OCV: 6 | DCV: 7 | Stun: 50/50 | Body: 20/20 | End: 37/40 | Conditions: none "Not so good a fight, I think, ah well." Jonny sounds almost regretful as he spins into a quick snap kick. "I'm thinking you should walk away while you still can," he adds, striking an obviously martial pose for the first time. Maybe a bit too obvious really, it owes as much to Hong Kong action movies as his actual training, but he's hoping to get the thugs to back off before he has to hang around explaining three unconscious drunks to the cops. Mechanics CSL: adjusting (+2/+1) Quick Strike (+1/+3) OCV 9 DCV 11 Defense Maneuver as before. Attempting Presence attack. 3d6 base, -1d6 for in combat. Probably at least +1d6 for violent action, I'll let you decide any further mods and make the roll.
  9. Slight correction, I've been editing his stat block in the post to include the CSL/Maneuver bonuses, so the +8 is his actual OCV in the round. So actually 14-, but that's still two hits. I think going forward, I'll just leave the base numbers up there and put the round adjusted numbers in the mechanics block, probably easier and less confusing. I believe his attack still misses though, he'd need an OCV of 9 to hit with that roll.
  10. Jonny Chen OCV: 8 | DCV: 12 | Stun: 50/50 | Body: 20/20 | End: 38/40 | Conditions: none "I suppose I can oblige." Jonny shifts his stance ever so slightly and snaps a punch at the big man's body. A quick sidestep and another quick punch to the gut follow up, showing off Jonny's superior speed if nothing else. Mechanics Moving CSL to +1/+2. Using Defense Maneuver (Half Phase, no back shots, no multiple attacker bonusses) and Quick Strike (+1/+3 7d6 strike) as a Jab. Hits DCV 6, could be iffy if the big guy has some skills and/or is being cautious but probably hits unless he Dodges. Normal damage, 25 Stun, 7 Body. Phase 2: Same CSL, another Quick strike. Hit DCV 5, Normal Damage 31 Stun, 9 Body
  11. One of our original members was a sentient walking grove of trees, mechanically a leshy summoner that summoned leshies, so out there concepts aren't off the table. Of course, leshies were only Uncommon and since redefined as Common, so not the best guide to whether Rare is allowed or not.
  12. This will probably be my last check in until Sunday night, Monday morning (depends on how tired I am when I get home, usually very). I might take my tablet to the camp and see if I can manage MW better on it than my phone, but I might not either, the days tend to be pretty full.
  13. Zyrel (Ekujae Rogue) AC: 21 | HP: 34/34 | Perception: +10 (Initiative +2) | F: 5 R: 12 W: 10 | Conditions: none| Class DC: 20| Spell DC: 19 | Zyrel is moderately annoyed to see the statue does indeed dodge fairly well, but also pleased that the few stones that connect seem to have a surprisingly substantial effect. While it is possible the foe might evade the rain of stone entirely, it is far more likely to defend against a direct attack and said direct attack couldn't attack the creature's weakness as his spell can. Still, every bit helps and Zyrel not only repeats his spell but also fires a futile arrow at the creature. 14. Jonny Chen OCV: 6 | DCV: 14 | Stun: 50/50 | Body: 20/20 | End: 40/40 | Conditions: none If he were in his Iron Tiger guise, and facing off against hardened criminals, Jonny would have leaped straight for the biggest target and tried to take him down. But he's still hoping to end this without too much violence and mindful of the fact that "Glitz" almost certainly has security cameras covering the sidewalks. He wants there to be no doubt who swung first. It's not like these punks are much threat, at least, not to him. He sways forwards, moving almost casually, though anyone with more than the bare minimum of combat training will note careful footwork and the sudden shift that carries him past the big marine and into a spot just past the other two punks. "Sorry, did my cardio this morning, not scheduled for another run today." Mechanics Leaving CSL at +0/+3. Using Defense Maneuver (Half Phase, no back shots, no multiple attacker bonusses) and Flying Dodge (+4 DCV, FMove, moving to a point where the thugs will have to turn to face him and hopefully disengage from the girls as they do.)
