A vampire Dark Ages game staring in the year 705 AD. Players start as mortals, get picked by an elder from one of the 13 clan and hopefully become elders themselves as they try to survive the turbulent early middle ages and powers beyond just vampires who wish to shape the world for their own benefit.

In 1230 CE (AD) The battle between the Tzimisce and the Tremere (known as the Omen War) continues to rage both sides calling upon and creating alliances and enemies. The Tzimisce call on their old vassals, and alliances through the power they wield within the region, while the Tremere seek assistance from the Ventrue of the Holy Roman Empire who look hungrily at the chance to take land and influence from their rivals in the east. Either way the ongoing conflict provides an opening for skilled Cainites to possibly make a name for themselves or even take a holding by aligning with one side or the other. Your characters (old ancillae/young elders between 150 and 300 years active) find themselves drawn to the Carpathians by the opportunity presented by the backdrop of the war.

Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Nazareth, and a narrow strip of land known as Oujtrejourdain which connects the kingdom to the sea of Jaffa have been returned to Christian control by the treaty between the Holy Roman Emperor Frederick II and Sultan al-Kamil. The Cainites of the area have been brought together by the Diet of Olives, a meeting of powerful elders of the region which promises a peace between the vampires of the region for at least ten years through 3 rules. Mutual non-aggression to be observed between all Cainites involved and their vassals and lieges All parties involved will share any information regarding the Baali and those who would come to the Holy Land to plunder its treasures and faith No Cainite lord involved would agree to grant the hospitality of his or her domain to any transgressor of the above rules (the Salubri convinced all in attendance that the Tremere almost always fall into this category). Representatives at the creation of the Diet of Olives Qawiyya el-Ghaduba (Salubri Warrior) - The creator of the Diet of Olives and the true power behind the throne of the Prince of Jerusalem Nahum ben Enosh (Salubri Healer) - Childe of Saulot and co-creator of the Diet of Olives Etienne de Fauberge (Bashirite Ravnos) - Prince of Acre Zakariah (8th Generation Assamite Vizier) - Vassal and Childe of Ahmed ibn Zayyat the Prince of Tripoli Rafqa (Brujah) - Prince of Beirut Shahnazar (Malkavian) - An elder of Jerusalem Unnamed Ghoul - Representative of Cyrpus and its Prince Nehemiah, acted as a silent witness and did not sign as the elder had given instructions to make no concessions or sign any treaties on behalf, merely provide an accounting of what occurred. With the peace in place the Cainites of the region, both native and foreign, seek to rebuild and take advantage of the night. Your characters are young elders of potent blood who see the Diet of Olives either as a beacon of what could be for peace among Cainites or an opportunity to grow in a region with an enforced treaty of peace.

The Italian states are wracked by conflict as two factions vie for dominance. The Guelphs support the Pope and his control in the region while the Ghibellines support the Holy Roman Emperor and his invasions. Florence's conflicts began when the Ghibelline noble Oddo Arrighi murdered the Guelph Buondelmonte de’ Buondelmonti over the latter reneging on an agreed upon marriage in recompense for wounding him. Since the city's Guelph control is continually tested by its strong Ghibelline faction. The city's prosperity has led to its population to boom and 30,000 mortals make their home in its walls and in the hinterlands beyond another 60,000 live. Such a feast enticed many Cainites to travel and make haven in the city. Soon even with such numbers overcrowding became an issue. Prince Alanus failed to rein in these issues and in 1164 was destroyed by Assamite assassins, yet none in the city would claim to their hiring. Now Florence's Cainites are as riven as its mortals as two Lasombra, Anicius the Golden and Panfilo the Cruel, have risen to try and claim Praxis. The city's elders swap loyalty and resources between the pair as they engage in their own plots taking advantage of the chaos. You may be one of these elders, or you may be an outsider drawn to the city by its wealth and populace. Your schemes will shape the future and may tip the scales in the favor of one of the two Princes, or perhaps both will fall and another will rise higher...
