Region Write-up for Approval: Fount of Transcendence
Region: 01 (Badal)
Region Name: Fount of Transcendence
Owner: Illumined UtopianFount of Transcendence - Geography, Fauna & Flora
The aerostat now dubbed the Fount of Transcendence by the colonists of the factory pipeworks producing XQI is dramatically different from the ill-repaired structure found hovering over the Badalian North pole. While still locked over the North Pole significant work has been completed to make it fully habitable. Through the work of the Illumined Utopian and the Telepathic Convention Gestalt the region is continues to be under significant repairs and upgrades on all of the structures as the habitats and factory zones are repaired and restored to glory. A Shining Aerostat on the top of Badal greats all comers who wish to partake in the Communion with the Universe. The twisting network of brass and copper pipes and cables have mostly been left alone while residences and additional habitats are built above and around the inner workings of the factory.
The Pipeworks - The factory areas of the Aerostat are referred to as the Pipeworks by all the inhabitants, while the central console with runes is no longer easily accessed by anyone and instead dedicated to the workers who help the facility produce XQI in large quantities tours of the pipes, basins and inner-working of the magi-tech distillery are held for those curious shells. After some additional research and testing of the strange pipes the ability to reproduce the construction still alludes the Illumined Utopian and the Transcendent Masters; however they have gleaned some of its workings. The Pipeworks somehow distills XQI out of the interference of the cloud composition, leylines and the magnetic field that confluence on the North Pole of Badal. This confluence of various magical and physical phenomenon allow the large brass and copper factory to condense the magical substrate that eventually is processed into XQI through various magical and mundane methods of distilling, pipes, heating and cooling that run through the factory before being collected in large basins throughout the aerostat.
The Fount - The confusing maze of pipes were discovered to funnel into several large basins that collected the processed XQI. The Telepathic Transcendence Masters when consuming the substance to delve the purpose of the Pipeworks discovered that bathing in it was the most effective method of it releasing its potency into one's shell. These basin sources had additional piping attached to connect all the new homes and residences to the XQI network in addition to H2O piping to insure all residents could bath in the substance at their leisure. However in the early days of the settlement the first Masters created a fountain and public bath in the central square of the habitat so that all could easily marinate in the stimulant. The Fount remains as a public socialization and communal bonding area for all of the gestalt members to enjoy.
Communal Warrens - The influx of Jy'mar and Durat colonists prompted a new approach to the standard Warren tunnel and tube construction that the Jy'mar traditionally use in new habitats. Instead of the winding tunnels, large central tubeways connect the various segments of the habitats allowing more than just Jy'mar passage but also Durat and even other beings who decide to move in. The various larger residences are compacted with Jy'mar apartments and homes built right into the walls and in the traditional dead space of 'giant' constructions. The increased density and potential for strife and conflict between the different types of inhabitants is mitigated by the free allotments of the XQI substance and the unity and drive the chemical gives all the inhabitants.
Fauna & Flora - Mycelia, Moss and various badalian insects nests had found purchase and homes among the pipeworks myriad of nooks and side passageways. Initially the Jy'mar colonists had to fight tooth and nail against the creatures and plants growing as they did with all other Badalian life; however, once the XQI substance was released on the Masters and the factory reproducing the substance all of the creatures and plants started living in harmony with the colonists, some even providing aid and lifting loads and helping construct the habitats for new residents as if they were all part of the same hive. Mycelia growths started popping up eatable growths that seemed to be tailored for a Jy'mar's dietary needs while mosses and other plant growths wrapped themselves around atmospheric leaks and structures to seemingly aid in the repairs to the aerostat.
The Inhabitants
The population of the new settlement is predominantly Jy'mar settlers, Jy'mar Transcendent Masters as well as ecstatic Durat Pods. The Colony once fully operational and running is open to all races, peoples and ideas as the goal of Universal Communion drives the TCG forward.
Government: Telepathic Convention Gestalt
The Telepathic Convention Gestalt (TCG) is the group of original Masters who investigated the pipeworks and determined their purpose and use in the distillation and collection of XQI from the polar gases of Badal. These Masters have formed a Gestalt with each other and other willing Masters and Durat Pods to form what is known as the Telephathic Convention, the Governmental body of the Found of Transcendence. After taking XQI they originally strayed from the faith of Soul's Expression but the influx of new immigrants and colonists has offset the quantity of Telepathic Transcendence followers.
Faith: Telepathic Transcendence
Telepathic Transcendence is the pursuit of a higher commute with all beings, creatures, plants and things. The telepathic abilities granted by XQI expand the horizons of the mind to look beyond superficial differences of one's shell and delve into the deeper connections between all creatures. Everything is equal before the gaze of the endless universe, all things in communion could be completed.
As the state of heightened compassion and unity is exemplified while under the influence of the XQI stimulant the faith of Telepathic Transcendence is one of extreme passivism, avoiding any and all conflict as best as can be avoided while promoting the importance of telepathic communion with all beings and things in the universe.
The substance XQI is a pivotal part of their faith, as it is the source of their ability to commune with the universe, but instead of jealously guarding and hoarding it they believe it is to be shared with all nations so that the Telepathic Communion would spread through all of Tekhum to achieve the the first goal of Tekhum Telepathic Transcendence.
The Ultimate Goal of the Telepathic Transcendence masters and the faithful is to eliminate suffering, war, and all that ails the world by achieving Universal Communion with all things.
Resource: XQI
XQI {Magical Items, Medicines and Drugs}
XQI is a magical chemical stimulant produced in solely in the factory sized production facility that is the Pipeworks. The Substance significantly enhances the intellect of the user while also imparting temporary telepathic abilities while the substance is consumed on a regular basis. Further testing indicated that a sufficient dose or 'marination' in the substance would cause actual physical and mental changes in the body and augment the user to more readily accept the substance and make the gained intelligence and telepathic abilities permanent. The substance has been noted to allow communion with various different lifeforms, even those not traditionally considered 'intelligent'. XQI can be aerosolized but the TCG determined that submerging in a liquid solution of the substance was more effective than breathing it or consuming it, allowing it to fully permeate the body.
Desired Import: {Ores and Alloys}
The new colonists strive to fully repair and delve the myriad of pipeworks and distilleries for the XQI substance which is continually falling into disrepair due to its age. Continued import of Ores and Alloys to ensure the structural integrity and expansion of the pipeworks is critical to maintaining the flow of the stimulant.

The Life of a Jy'mar - Day One
The Life of a Jy'mar citizen, by Cluatis Masiziou
Dear reader, you may have heard much or little of the plight of the Jy'mar - I would not expect you to sympathize much but hear me out. For other Jy'mar know my fears and shiver at a life beyond the walls of the warrens of our home. For you see - for those not in the know, the Jy'mar are short compared to the Imperial Standard. Our tallest warriors only measure 4 inches from foot to head without their armor suits. I will regale to you the horrors of size in this ongoing series told from the point of view of an iterant Jy'mar out in the world sending their tale back to me as they risk their tail. Buckle up, I have edited and composed much of what they have sent back to position in a readable fashion.
For security of my client I have changed all names within this work.
I left Utopian early that morning, my path called for a journey - travels and knowledge of the world beyond the safe walls of the warrens. The Protectorate issued me a mask, two weeks of hard tact for sustenance and some Imperial credit to be able to charter an aero-ship or book passage on the wandering traders in the area. I was given the waiver I had to sign - to forsake return to the Utopian Warrens now that I had left of my own volition- I would either never return or have to join the Protectorate if I come back. I only thought about it for 10 seconds. There isn't anything more for me in the Warrens. First order of business was getting on an aero-ship, I managed to have a regular trader give me passage he said he "had room for a small thing like you". It took me thirty minutes to walk the length of his aero-ship.
As I walked the ship I kept my eyes out for the list of things the Protectorate says are danger signs. Bug nests, eggs, rat droppings, those are the things the giant folk tend to overlook and not thing of when travelling as they don't cause problems for 'normal' sized people. In my excitement exploring the ship and climbing in its walls I was lax, I didn't check carefully enough. My main regret from my first day was irresponsibly sleeping in the bed the trader kindly provided me. I went to sleep unprepared that night for the horrors to come. The Life of a Jy'mar - Day Two
The Life of a Jy'mar - Day Two, by Cluatis Masiziou
I woke to a pressure on my leg, it was gentle - like a lovers' caress - but I was supposed to be alone. It was only my brief training with the Protectorate that saved me. Springing from my sleeping position away the spider came into full view, its front legs had begun wrapping my blankets up in a cocoon and its fangs had been above my leg poised to bite. I only had basic combat training, I was not prepared for a fight with a spider of this size, big even by giant standards the beast turned toward me, waving its front arms in warning while shuffling at me. I fled. I fled the whole night, people say they get rid of the pests... they just hide until you sleep. Running from hole to hole I discovered the deziens of the night, and they just considered me food. When Dawn finally cracked and the Captain could be talked to I had not slept any more.
At least he apologized profusely for the poor quarters and guaranteed my safety, but I was awake now to my peril. I made my own quarters in the hull of the ship, I used the protectorate's guides on traps and fallback sleeping dens that I scoffed at while being taught them. Perhaps there was a point to all the warnings, maybe this was a failed outing, maybe I was just doomed to die beyond the walls of the warrens. When I rested that second night, I was on edge for anything - the skittering of night creatures and the sound of the traps working their magic eventually lulled me to a fitful sleep. The Life of a Jy'mar - Day Three
The Life of a Jy'mar - Day Three, by Cluatis Masiziou
It was the Captain who found me mid-afternoon on the third day. He was worried when I hadn't come out for breakfast and hadn't been seem by anyone. He said it took some time to find the trapped nook and was fairly impressed with the little piece I carved out for myself. Obviously I needed the sleep, and I only mildly shuttered at the quantity of bugs in my death trapped area.
Other than concern for my wellbeing being a passenger on his vessel the captain was also informing me that we would be landing close to nightfall at the targeted port-of call. A middle of nowhere Badal waystation aerostat that traders frequented to transfer cargo and passengers. Reminding me that was as far as I paid for, he said he could keep me on for longer if I wanted to head toward Shiwa Yun - My eyes were set on Senkar - I wanted to see the magic of their lands. He said I could use the nook again tonight as they would be berthed overnight and leave in the morning. I guess tomorrow I will explore a waystation and try to find passage to Senkar. The Life of a Jy'mar - Day ???
Life of a Jy'mar Day ???, by Cluatis Masiziou
I have lost track of time in this wider world as I strive to survive the waystations of Badal. Nothing would have prepared me for this, I thought my time on the Captain's aero-ship was fraught with danger, compared to the areas of the waystations it is nothing. Let me roll back, I believe I left off when I was going to search the waystation for passage to Senkar. That was my aim that day - but no Captains were willing to take me on - I had nothing of value to them or anything worth trading. The credits I had to my name could have been checked but they were not even willing to try. So I instead set to finding a place to stay until I could obtain passage. The Waystations of badal are a dismal affair, barely enough space to berth passengers as they wait days or weeks for the next aero-ship to cross and pick them up, no measures to reduce or remove the population of pests that build up from the toxic skies of Badal apart from some barely routine cleaning and inspections. If it doesn't break structural integrity then it doesn't concern the independent owners of the waystations. Its been perhaps weeks since I was dropped here. I've lost track of time fighting a war of attrition against the pests of this waystation. Now that I have finally carved a fortress in an old cupboard space unused by the inhabitants of this station I can now reflect on my situation. I hope this missive finds you - Please send it along to the Protectorate and inform them of this plight facing travelling Jy'mar so they can warn others.- (+0) Culture's Literature

The unprovoked aggression against the Illumined Utopian for proposed claims of slavery require the new Console to scramble diplomacy with nations that he thought had been friendly with Utopian. The aggression first approach to negotiations surprises him in regards to the Black Cloud Confederation who share an Embassy with the Illumined Utopian and he orders an immediate evacuation of the Reflective Gardens while tensions heighten as Illumined Utopian forces are mustered to deploy in defense.
Illumined Utopian diplomats following discussions and talks with the Black Cloud Coalition and the Glorified Purifiers come to tenuous halt to aggression against the separate attacks. Future agreements are discussed on continued relations between the polities.
This is not an Action but a Record of Events. -
Military Special 5 - Create The Labyrinthic Path Fortress in the Heights of Utopia (10)
With the near aggression threatening the very livelihood of all Jy'mar living in the Warrens of the Heights of Utopia a great cry is put out by the people to the First Speaker for additional measures to defend their way of life from outside influence. First Speaker Paula directs August Iovita to create a defensive 'labyrinth' surrounding the Warrens itself to have attackers forced into the defensive properties of the fortress and confusing nature of the undersized tunnels. Iovita incorporated the Arkhive Hive bees in the defense of the Path, with their tunnels and hives intermingled with the added defensive structures dead-ends and confusing twists. Protectorate Jy'mar are taught the shotcuts, blind kill zones as well as trained with the Arkhive Bees to defend and protect the Warrens and by projection, the Heights of Utopia.

Faith Special 5 - Form the Prime's Paragon Holy Order
With the attacks primed by the Black Cloud Coalition against the Heights of Utopia it is clear the pirates have lost their path as they target once allies on thin accusations. Jy'mar adherants muster at Prime Marcus' call and preach to the pirate captains of the North Way Cluster
With the pirate withdrawal from aggression Prime Marcus calls back the adherents and redirects the Paragons into the formation of a Holy Order of Faithful. The Prime's Paragons.
Claiming Renown from Built to Last as ILU's first Holy Order
Prime's Paragons The Prime's Paragons are an order of Soul's Expression members focused on enacting the will of the Prime, the Leader of the Soul's Expression flock.
They act as the investigative and militaristic branch of the faith and is traditionally made up of masters whose paths synchronized with that direction.
After them being brought into the limelight following the Basu-Rahman Group's base destruction on Sansar Prime Marcus decided to allocate a dedicated space for them in the Warrens of the Heights of Utopian for them to reside on maintain their position.

Faith - Finish the Cata-Honeycombs (Arkhive Bee Hive) [5/5]
The close attack on the warrens worried the inhabitants and bee keepers in the Heights of Utopia and steeled them with determination to complete the work that they started so that the bees from the Arkhive had a chance to flourish in the Warrens. With Iovita's guidance the inhabitants started distributing the hive into the structure of the Labyrinthic Path instead of a single location as originally planned so that losses of some of the hive did not doom the rest of it.

The Illumined Utopian receives the requests from the Imperial Court for information on duels and digs through the recent archives to obtain records of Console Prisca's recorded duels among the Protectorate Jy'mar forces and some of her duels in combat during the Wyrmlands campaigns.
Console Prisca's fighting style led itself to a bombastic feat of agility and prowess of their own body to propel herself around the battlefield peppering foes from afar before getting in close to provide powerful strikes to disrupt and distract her foes from engaging. Against fellow Jy'mar her heightened abilities were more evenly matched as duels between masters took place more often in the air than on ground. Her fights against larger opponents varied on their ability to absorb hits and take concentrated powerful blows that centered on pressure points and weaknesses not normally accessible to someone of a similar size.

-
Life of a Jy'mar Day ???, by Cluatis Masiziou
I hope this missive finds you - Please send it along to the Protectorate and inform them of this plight facing travelling Jy'mar so they can warn others. -

(+1) The Morality of In Vivo Modification - A Series of Papers on the Ethics and Usage
With the introduction of In Vivo Modification to the Illumined Utopian the doctors and scientists of the Warrens took to investigating the potential uses while philosophers took to discussing the ethical impacts of the wide spread use of the technology and its potential. The discussions around the ability to modify future Jy'mar were hotly debated between two main camps, the ones who believe the tech hinders natural progression of the Jy'mar abilities while the other says this just helps accelerate them. These papers contained the dissertations and recordings of the debates held by both parties while the scientists and doctors completed clinical trials to confirm the practice would be safe to all involved. Through the debates Public opinion was swayed toward the wide-spread adaptation of In Vivo Modification when the tests proved that it could be completed safely and obtain good results toward allowing more complete gender re-assignment in addition to re-growing lost limbs and other injuries. Ethical implications of the potential usage of the technology to wipe a race out through a targeted retrovirus prompted additional security measures to be implemented on the Warrens' seal. -

Should try the inline without being in a bullet point and without being in a table too.
Just inline and a bunch of images. Cause it wasn't doing to all images either
-
I've tested this a few times and I've been able to reproduce it like this:
- Make a post with several images that are carried from existing attachments or are new to MW
-
Save the post without any rolls
-
Edit the post and add an inline roll.
-
Save the Post and see that the links are broken
- Have someone else check that the images are broken - and generally this other person says they do not appear broken to them: https://www.myth-weavers.com/index.php?/topic/17638-post-test/&do=findComment&comment=273941
-
Edit history says the images are there fine
-
Edit the post to see if that fixes it
-
Add text or anything while Editing - also remove the images and the attachments
- Save the post and it works. Sometimes saving the post here *doesn't* actually save the post but instead locks it into an empty post - if you refresh the post comes back as if you didn't edit anything. That occurs more frequently if you didn't remove the 'broken' image links and the attachments.
-
Revert post to last version and suddenly the images are fixed.
I'm not really sure what is causing this but I'm able to reproduce it on multiple computers.

The Illumined Utopian delegation was notably absent from the Arkhive Hexenniel, their seat as a former patron even empty as the discussions start. As Scorcha finishes her comments on the proposals in front of them the door to the conference room bursts open. Two Wyrmblessed in full utopian style battle armor fill the door way, the armor is covered in streaks of dirt and blast marks from recent fighting. They stand at attention toward the small form of Console Prisca Calpurnius striding into the room, her gait seeming to stretch longer than a Jy'mar stride would be expected to take. She was dressed in the Protectorate issued armor with the symbol of the Primes emblazoned on her helmet. Tucking the helmet under her arm she leapt onto the table where the Jy'mar sized prepared seat and desk for the Utopian delegation was set.
"Apologies for being late, I had matters to attend to - and I have more matters to attend to following this. I was aware of this meeting and I will be providing the Illumined Utopians opinions on these matters as the First Patron of the Arkhive Æternal and then I will depart as my Path calls me to Mekhala."Prisca takes a breath and looks at the assembled Sansar representatives and the offworld representatives present in the room, locking eyes with each in turn before moving on for her eyes to finally rest on Queen Constance of Comment. Her gaze softens slightly and she gives Constance a small bow before continuing in a loud voice.
"On the first order of interpretation. What is local, what is a resident. The tiers of membership are clear; a resident of Sansar is not. Is not a resident someone who lives in a place and calls it their home? Are we going to exclude all future residents of Sansar unless they meet specific thresholds and categories of 'residence'. Who will enforce and decide when someone is 'local' enough? A government can have multiple homes, a people can live in more than one place. What you assembled speak of is a restriction on the voting membership of the Arkhive Æternal, you might as well call it that. This path you head down is one that closes the Arkhive rather than opening it."
Prisca pauses and waves to herself, and the Llort representative."Look to your first two Patrons, we are not of Sansar. We choose to join hands with the Arkhive and we wish for the Arkhive to prosper. Who from Sansar has attempted Patronage? Who from Sansar wishes to see the Arkhive's goals advanced and prosper? Were not the secondary contenders for Patronage the Black Cloud Coalition and the Combined Commonwealth of Glix? And Yet. And Yet Sansar wishes to close off the people who can decide what the Arkhive can do. You wish to limit the voting to an even more Elite club of Sansar first. I vehemently oppose this interpretation of the Charter. I even would propose you go further. Why are the 'visiting' members denied a voice? Why are the Glix and the Coalition denied entry to this meeting? Are they somehow lesser than those on Sansar who have contributed little to the Arkhive when they have contributed much? Are they to have no voice until that time that they are 'granted access' to Sansar or obtain Patronage? Let the interpretation be friendly, let the interpretation be open, be generous not restrictive. Or if you are restrictive - take my warning on the path you walk down."
Taking a deep breath Prisca centers herself to continue speaking on the other items.
"On this amendment. Coedd has themselves stated they care not for what is beyond Coedd. I understand the Llort attempting to introduce something into the Arkhive that could prevent Patrons demanding 'hostile' conversion of those not protected by the Charter, non-members. Let me ask you something. Do you think that there could be a Patron that requests the Arkhive Æternal to act hostilely against a non-charter member? That is purely allowed by Charter. The Llort amendment seems to be attempting to foster welfare and assurances to non-members that their sacred faiths will be respected and not trampled on by the Arkhive - Coedd has made Coedd's plans on Sansar clear, I pray myself that this amendment means nothing and would have amounted to nothing as what restriction is it on Coedd in this case? Am I misunderstanding the aims of Coedd that it in fact wishes to be more than Coedd? If so then vote no, if not - why would we not vote Yes?"
"As for Utopian's stance on the last point. Need you ask what we vote? Our actions speak for our conviction. We vote Yes."
At her final statement Prisca again meets the eyes of all those assembled. One of the Wyrmblessed come close to her and whisper something."My ship is here. I doubt I will return as I foresee my path ending. Utopian will hear of what is decided here today."

"It's not bad," the Jy'mar says, sounding distracted as he peers down at the arena. "I admit I'm a tad disappointed by the prevalence of ranged weaponry here, it seems somehow unsporting; if I wanted to watch people gun each other down I could just turn on the news. Originally this iteration of Pugilarch was going to have subcutaneous armor, you know, but I couldn't get it to play nicely with the muscular reconfiguration system, and of course I prioritized the latter because it's far more interesting... From a tactical perspective it seems to have been a mistake, though. I'll have to give bullets some thought. I understand they're something of an unsolved problem when it comes to military hardware, but I'm sure a genius of my caliber can work something out."
He blinks as the rest of the llort's comment finally registers. "Hang on, son? What are you blathering about?"
Out in the arena, Pugilarch recollects himself, the shock of his injury slowly giving way to adrenaline-fueled rage. His body emits a disquieting series of squelching and cracking sounds as he stands upright, casting about for the next enemy. By unlikely happenstance, his eye fixates on the smallest target possible: Prisca Calpurnius. Mustering all his cunning and restraint, Pugliarch refrains from shouting his customary cry of "DESTROY!" until the very last second, moments before he attempts to squash the Jy'mar Console...!
Caught on the backfoot with her ears ringing from the grenade explosion, the Pugliarch smashes down near her and she barely scuries off to set a fair distance. Attempting to belt the strange monster with her coilgun aiming for weak spots it all seems to be for naught. Defiant to the end she continues her harrassment as the enraged beast closes in...

Illumined Utopian - [link] - Region(s) 10, 45Triumvirate Meeting Logs of 2043
Its so confusing, these logs just got lost. I don't know where they went? Maybe someone else had them. Instead lets talk rumors!
- Prime Marcus has disapeared following his letter regarding Soul's Expression and the Elven Conclave of 2044. Last seen in the Wyrmlands he chartered a boat to take him 'somewhere'
- August Iovita is scouring the Protectorate elite for a replacement, his fur is greying and he says he can't keep up with the young
- Console-Elect Antonius has been staying outside of the Illumined Utopian borders 'tutoring' the Eucrus Alliance Heir Tuahine in matters of diplomacy. They were spotted attending the Mekh Gala together

The Jy'mar control over the wyrmlands swell as military advertisements pull an unprecedented amount of wyrmblessed hopefuls to join the Utopian forces. Combining them with Jy'mar veterans the combined arms of the scaled humanoids and the diminutive Jy'mar allow for coordination and collaboration unheard of by Utopian tactics. The Parvus Dragoons was born. -

Soom Room Mad Dash Reunion
18 hours ago, Stygian said:The sudden confluence of flashy, somewhat eccentric racers is enough to distract Tuahine from the conversation at hand—and honestly reminds the kanmarran of some of the stranger televised competitions of the Basu-Rahman Group. Were these people really playing at being heels and faces, as it were? Was she being pranked? Cameras might be getting broken, if so.
The whispered cry of Antonius snaps her back to this world. She reaches up and gently pats Antonius, half-shielding him from the anaconda. “Easy, dear one. I will not let anyone make a meal of you. And do not diminish yourself so. They are right. And well-spoken." Tuahine gestures to Ani-Quin, who did not seem quite so caught up in... some manner of rivalry?"Racing through cramped, close quarters? Tests of agility as you navigate unfamiliar tunnels and try not to lose your way? Just because the arena is smaller, does not mean the victor is any less mighty."
"As you may have heard, I am Tuahine Roa, Navarch of the Eucrusian Fleet. And this is Antonius, Console-Elect. It is ...good meet you." She offers to Ani-Quin.1 hour ago, EmBark said:Ani-Quin offers an awkward bow to Tuahine, obviously unused to the maneuver.
"It is an honour to meet you, Navarch. And you, Console-Elect. Truly, a race through tight passages and moving quickly through twists and turns is the most exhilirating and speaks highly to a racer's skill. Though I have participated in the Mad Dash more than once, I must say I admire my fellow racers here who, uh, proved very adept at it. Navigating the Mouth of the Emperor is no small feat."
They looked--up--at the Jy'mar Console-Elect specifically.
"Perhaps a future Mad Dash might be a narrow maze, so that your skills could be shown off to outshine us all."
When Naqi'a joined them, Ani-Quin's face brightened. Here was now a royal who moved in these diplomatic scenes like all the others, but--like Alud--a fellow racer, someone they could understand.
"Ah, Naqi'a! How good to see you again."
They had last seen her after the Mekhala Mad Dash, but in all the celebrations and surrounding diplomatic affairs they had not been able to properly express their thanks for saving their life. Then again, how could they? To one whose family was so wealthy and powerful, a non-noble's thanks likely wasn't worth much, even from one famous and skilled. Perhaps she didn't even remember.
12 hours ago, TheDarkDM said:Inside...
A flute of Ushere champagne in either hand, Naqi'a pierces the veil of fans and onlookers surrounding the impromptu reunion of Mad Dashers.
"Don't sell yourself short, Velocipede. You Sansarites squirrel away nuclear ordnance in libraries - I'm sure if we put you on the spot you could at least manage a fission device."
Moving next to Alud, she slides one of the champagne flutes into his empty hands.
"Have you told the Console-Elect what else you can navigate by touch?"
@BladeofOblivion < RE Auld being involved in the conversation by ^ Naqi'a
Antonius seems to calm as Tuahine strokes his head, smoothing the fur down that was beginning to stand on end.
"Ap-apologies, While I like Snake News and it shows a fair amount of Sn-snakes on the channel it isn't the s-same as s-seeing one in person."
Returning the bow from Ani-Quin for both himself and Tuahine when she introduces herself he continues.
"It would be my honor to compete in some kind of maze event, perhaps I could navigate for My Shell here? She is the better pilot between us...."
His voice trails off as he notices another person joining the conversation group with a snake on their person. This time however Tuahine's hand was already close and he elegantly made his escape into her palm, grabbing her fingers to shield him. He barely makes out that Naqi'a addressed him by Title, and his diplomatic training is enough for him to respond from the safety of His Shell.
"The-they have not - but a - a Gentleman ne-never tells e-either."
-
While the two racers bicker Antonius' is steadying himself on Tuahine's neck. Eyes locked onto the anaconda resting on the champion, his nose twitches his whiskers but otherwise his body is entirely still as he whispers to his partner.
"Its a snake - Tuahine, a snake. An actual live snake. I know they worship a giant one but.. hold me my shell its a snake."

1 hour ago, BladeofOblivion said:Inside the Gala
Alud drops the act in reply, crossing his arms behind his back and bowing shallowly, seemingly pleased that his attempt at satire has communicated something. "It is good to meet you as well, Tuahine Roa and and Antonius Console-Elect. Truly."For the first time tonight, the angle allows a glimpse of his real eyes under the mask, unobscured by the layers of trickery and internal lighting. Just whites and two circles of brown. Just a man. They're able to chat a bit: Alud's stories of driving have more to do with crossing the desert than the death-defying stunts on the piloting circuit that made him a name in Mekhala, but he has stories from that too. "...interference at the Mouth threw the instruments awry, and Iris could not navigate the mirrored passages, so...I actually closed my eyes and navigated by feel. It sounds mad to say aloud, but it worked. Not well enough to catch up with Vile or the Dwarf, but it worked."
Inside the Gala
Antonius keeps up with the conversation with Alud Soom, supporting Tuahine in more ways than just his presence but with mild reminders to her to breath and relax. His sharp smile is genuine through the conversation and he chitters at Alud's stories.
"Amazing! Such a feat, the Jy'mar don't have a sport of racing in ships, we have no land or desert like Veehra as the skies are unending and toxic. Back in the Warrens of Utopia there was a sport the young play, it did not have an official name but I must set the scene. The Warrens are our cultural home, as the name implies its a mess of tunnels and pathways made through our rock - many of the deeper layers are uncharted ancient tunnels and tubeways from times before the war of bombardments. Many of us made a game of racing through these tunnels - to see if we could find shortcuts or navigate the unknown."
He rubs the orange fur by his ear and a wistful smile floats across his face.
"I spent many a day racing those mazes, it was surely a highlight of my childhood - and your daring stories remind me of it... sorry I rambled. It certainly isn't a feat like your races!"
-
"Come now, you look absolutely stunning, let this poor soul do his job"
They probably weren't getting a court martial.
Landing Pad:
Riding on Tauhine's shoulder was Console-Elect Antonius - A larger Jy'mar than most, the Console-Elect stood at a whopping 4" tall. Towering over other Jy'mar his markings were similarly striking, orange fur sliding downward in twin arrows over his eyes melding into a soft white band that well hid his large cheek pouches. Black fur took over from his chin down his chest disappearing under his attire.
A sharply cut blue tunic matching the blue of Tauhine's dress formed the base of Antonius' outfit, a golden toga with what appeared to be polished shell sequins rested on top complemented by a royal purple sash connecting the edge of his cloak at his shoulder to the simple black belt at his waist. Opposite the shoulder with the cape sat an ornate shell armband carefully etched with ornate detailing. The cloak draped down one arm in a triangular fashion from his shoulder to his waist. Its material seemed like a stiff leather and when extended a diorama in the Kanmara tattoo style was visible. The diorama seemed to depict a Jy'mar reaching upwards toward a Kanmara youth.
Antonius leaned against Tauhine's neck when required to maintain balance and whispered into her ear as the press approached - her gait only paused when he asked her to stop for him to answer questions respectfully when asked. Without significant halts they proceed into the gala.
Inside:
"Steady my shell, you've got this, breathing exercises remember?"
At some point between the entry into the Gala and Tauhine finding her way to Alud Soom Antonius had found a drink from a Llort server that was sized for Jy'mar pleasure. He idly sipped from the glass as his partner introduced herself before chiming in himself.
"Console-Elect Antonius, Pleasure to meet you - Snake News has had an most excellent coverage of Veehran events."

Without fanfare or reservation, Console Prisca herself signs up for the tournament, donning her the signiture combat armor of the 101 Praetorians.
Usually the Praetorians use railgun adjacent equipment as hand to hand combat is extremely dangerous for Jy'mar who have not hardened thier body. Prisca however adorns herself with a pair of bladed caestuses sliding easily over her armor and locking into the greaves.
Before any bout contestants are able to see her practicing leaps and evasive manuevers that far exceed what one typically would think possible of a race as small as the Jy'mar.
Whispers of Prisca's own prowess in combat is spread among the crowd. Varying rumors to how she rose to Console and her personal actions in the invasion of the Wyrmlands. Claims of her fighting a dragon barehanded with the same Caestus she worn to the tournament seem implausible, but it is hard to tell the validity of the claim. Others claim she fought badalian sky whales in her time in the 101 Praetorians before becoming Console in the defence of Utopian - even as far as taking one of the beasts single handedly. Whatever may be true or not the story telling of the Jy'mar continue to praise the Utopian Console.

Round 8: An Aridyin Affair (Fly Us To The Moon)
in Events and RP
Posted
A lone ship rose from the Wyrmlands from the obsidian spires of the Wyrmhold itself, its ascent for those watching seemed to have been hurried and other ships broke off an apparent pursuit when the black cloud coalition fleet came in view.
The ship cleared its passage and landing to the moon with the Burning Horizon strike group through some terse dialog on needing to hand deliver a personal message to Lord-Scion Tryat from the Wyrmseer as a 'gift' for his upcoming nuptials. After a brief exchange the ship eventually finds a berth to release its passenger on.
An figure dressed in a dark crimson cloak and hood departed the vessel, making their way through the events to the site of the wedding and the party.
After the Wedding Ceremony
At some point during the swings of events and party Tryat finds themselves alone in a corridor and spots the robes of a priest of Kribukyo in an alcove next to them. A low gravelly voice emanates from the hooded figure when Tryat's gaze fully lands on the crimson cloak.
"A fantastic wedding, one worthy of a Wyrmlord indeed. I will not be long - I gift you words from the Wyrmseer."
Before Tryat can respond the priest begins speaking discordantly, the gravelly voice being superimposed with the voice of the Wyrmseer themselves. A Deep Rumbling harmonizes with the priest as they deliver the message.
One Borne of Flame, Oft Takes the Blame
Passions Bright, Eclipse the Light
Warnings Dire or Whispers Mild
Matters not my Wayward Child
Your time it comes, where you must choose
What to Hold, and Whom to Lose
Kribukyo's Champion dost flee to Night
Face them Once, and Then Twice
A Final Breath will Prove your Might
With an exhale and a shudder the crimson cloaked priest bows to Tryat.
"My Lord-Scion, I have been committed to your service as your, and your partners', personal servant at the Wyrmseer's command, what is your bidding?"
