  1. Daemon "D" McKnight High Concept: Independent Shadow Hunter Trouble: Tethered to an Ancient Ghost He laughed, "You could have picked up the phone." He moves to shake his hand. "How are you? Still dodging demons?"
  2. Daemon "D" McKnight High Concept: Independent Shadow Hunter Trouble: Tethered to an Ancient Ghost Daemon walked along the sidewalk back to his truck. He ocassionally glanced behind him, trying to get a snapshot of those who might be following him. He approached his truck and opened the door, stopping before he entered. Usually birds fly away when disturbed. He was pretty sure the truck shook some when he opened the door. He slammed the door and opened it again. The bird just sat there. "Johan?"

He had one foot outside the table if he had to move. When Davin had been gone for what seemed like a long time, probably only minutes, he got up and walked to the door he went out. This is taking entirely too long. Jarah and Davin had been together since the beginning and he wasnt about to leave him alone for long. He pushed open the door and exited the building, hand on the hilt of his sword. Davin and the Astors were gone. He looked around the area and saw no sign of them. He began scouring the ground for sign to track. Nothing. He took one last look around and walked back in to the others. "The Astors took him. Davin is gone." "The man who wields the sword chooses who wields the quill", Jarah of Nowhere
  4. Daemon "D" McKnight High Concept: Independent Shadow Hunter Trouble: Tethered to an Ancient Ghost Daemon nodded in understanding. "Well, hiding only works for so long. You get any wild hairs you call me. Until then, I'll keep an ear to the ground." He looks behind him, the sushi is taking a while. She just hadn't brought it over yet.
  5. Daemon "D" McKnight High Concept: Independent Shadow Hunter Trouble: Tethered to an Ancient Ghost "Okay, not red court." He leaned back in the chair, contemplating. "So, the plan just to keep hiding, stay on the run?"
  6. Daemon "D" McKnight High Concept: Independent Shadow Hunter Trouble: Tethered to an Ancient Ghost "Red Court. How do you know it was a compulsion? Red Court elicit a type of euphoric venom that allows them to feed easier. One affected me once before. Or rather tried to."
  7. Daemon "D" McKnight High Concept: Independent Shadow Hunter Trouble: Tethered to an Ancient Ghost "My experience with Demons is they generally can't act in this world without some human intervention, opening a doorway or some such. Like a Ouija board. That coin sounds like the same concept, sort of." He adjusted the chair to face Johan, this was getting interesting. "Who is in possession of this coin?"
  8. Daemon "D" McKnight High Concept: Independent Shadow Hunter Trouble: Tethered to an Ancient Ghost "You're talking about the coins paid to Judas? I'm not very religious so beyond that I'm at a loss." He wasn't sure where he heard that from. "As far as Demon's go, I have some familiarity. More or less unkillable, but able to be banished with the right tools and people. Why?"
  9. Daemon "D" McKnight High Concept: Independent Shadow Hunter Trouble: Tethered to an Ancient Ghost Her last question snapped him out of his slump. He smiled. "Yes, I would like that." Next step toward some type of stability. "I don't know, I kind of like this one. I figured the other one should be retired. New beginnings and all that."
  10. Daemon "D" McKnight High Concept: Independent Shadow Hunter Trouble: Tethered to an Ancient Ghost He nodded, "I do too." He's not sure she means the same thing he does. "That lycanthrope was also there. He was integral in luring it to my estate."
  11. Daemon "D" McKnight High Concept: Independent Shadow Hunter Trouble: Tethered to an Ancient Ghost "I don't know. Morality is subjective don't ya think? I'm probably not a shining example for it." He looked outside just to make sure they were gone. "So things are calmer for you because you're hiding? Or just because you're better at preventing that potential robbery?"
  12. Daemon "D" McKnight High Concept: Independent Shadow Hunter Trouble: Tethered to an Ancient Ghost He managed a weak smile to let her know he got the joke. "She's wouldn't have been my first choice."
  13. Daemon "D" McKnight High Concept: Independent Shadow Hunter Trouble: Tethered to an Ancient Ghost Daemon snickered. "I dont think I've ever been referred to as strong. I was her, remember? Maybe in some ways I still am, but I had you. And Gabriel, oddly enough. She only had me." Daemon darkened and seemed more solemn. "She never had a chance." He looked up at her at the question. "She was a werewolf. Her entire pack helped and all paid for it."
  14. Daemon "D" McKnight High Concept: Independent Shadow Hunter Trouble: Tethered to an Ancient Ghost He was trying to avoid details to spare her. "She became increasingly erratic, she wanted to confront you. Not confront,...hurt you. We had just come from a funeral and I stopped her but then she ran off. I found her on the roof of that damned building. It was one of the locations she had mentioned during an argument and when I tried to talk her down, she made me choose." He licked his lips, they were getting dry and he had more to tell. He picked up the glass of water the waitress dropped off and took a drink, then continued. "She made me choose between her and you. After she threatened you, why would I choose her? The choice was between someone who couldn't tell the difference between reality and whatever was going on in her mind, or you. No choice at all. I saw her self-destructive tendencies and I thought of all the times you were concerned about me and I realized that must be how I looked to you." "I didn't think she was actually going to jump, but she just leaned back and let herself fall. I was too far away to stop her even if I wanted to, she wouldn't let me get close. So I didn't try." I might have tried catching her like Gabriel did for me, but why? She would just try it again some other day. I can't watch her all the time and be under her thumb under the threat of her hurting herself. No one controls me like that. "I tried to be someone I'm not. I can't be that cold unfeeling bastard that I thought I needed to be. That's not who I am, so it's not who I am going to be."
  15. Daemon "D" McKnight High Concept: Independent Shadow Hunter Trouble: Tethered to an Ancient Ghost He audibly exhaled. Where to start? "She was there when it happened, but we can just not write her in." It was after that bothered him. "She lost her entire pack, and spiraled downward fast. It didn't help that she knew I was trying to get over you, and then she saw the makeup on my shirt. Long story short she later became suicidal and jumped off the same building I tried to." Marina can see that there's no emotion when he explains. "She made me choose. So I let her fall."
