  1. "Oh the demon portal was nothing serious, just a mining expedition gone a bit wayward, you know how these things go sometimes nowadays. Just leftover relics from before the Plague that get jostled about during excavations. As for where we will be headed, its a rather secluded desert area around the far-north of Goboan, in the Jereal region." Lord Almendrud waves his hand again, and David begins to grab several bags sitting to the side of the door. "You are welcome to follow David to the ship to get a grip on your air legs before we set out tomorrow morning." He chuckles at his own joke. "For now my butler Bianca will show you to your rooms for the night." He rings a small bell that was on the table, and a short statured woman with green hair and pointed ears comes into the room. "Bianca, show these fine fellows to their rooms and the bathroom would you?" "Of course my lord," The Half-Goblin gives a short bow, then turns to the rest of you. "Follow me, I'll lead you to your rooms."
  2. "Ah, of course Mr. Reaver, Jeremiah is an excellent cook. But to the matter at hand," The Lord takes a seat in a large armchair near the head of the small table. "To those of you that do not know, my name is Lord Wolfstein Almendrud, and I have been on the hunt for a group of adventurers brave enough to ride the Skycarver to our destination, and face whatever may come our way." He frowns for a moment, before his jovial attitude resumes. "Thus far, none have be brave enough to fly. I'll admit, I'm in dire need of adventurers at the moment, my last group quit when a demon portal opened on my last expedition, nasty business that was." Lord Almendrud waves to Daniel to come forward, and you all look back to see Daniel holding several large bags, one for each of you. "As promised, 500 gold coins each. Half to be paid beforehand, and you will receive the other half on our safe return to the Post."
  3. The Lord thinks for a moment, before having a hearty chuckle. "Ah yes, the Skycarver, quite a marvelous piece of work by Daniel. Not to worry, it's perfectly safe and has survived several expeditions like the one we are about to embark on."
  4. Hi Guys! Sorry, went out of service for a bit and forgot to send a message before I did. Everything's good now!
  5. Daniel seemed to think for a moment, before his face lit up in realization. "Ah! Lori! From the ships! Gosh that was so long ago, I'm glad you made it out safely." He opened his mouth to talk more, before a knock at the doorway interrupted him. "I do hope I'm not interrupting anything important." Standing there is the man you came to see, Lord Almendrud himself. Daniel's face visibly brightens as he offers the Lord a quick bow. "Just a bit sir, nothing that can't be discussed later though."
  6. The man blinked, focusing on Lorelei for a moment specifically.  "I'm sorry, I can't say I remember, perhaps a name would jog my memory? I'm not good with faces you see." Daniel then turned to the rest of the group.  "I do in fact keep the doors and rest of the contraptions here well-oiled and working. I am not the one who made the ship, though I wish I was, the wonderous creation that it is. I'd be happy to explain it's inner-workings at a later time. Come in come in, Lord Almendrud will be down in just a moment." He leads the group of you in, to a posh looking sitting room, complete with a small tea service of various cakes and finger foods. "Please, enjoy and make yourselves at home, I'm sure you've all traveled a long way."
  7.   You arrive at the base of the large stone tower, with all types of what seem to be mechanical bits and cogs up the walls, all connecting and heading upwards, either near the ship or connecting to the ship itself. The door to the tower is large and made of two individual wooden blocks, expertly carved. Upon walking up to the door, it immediately opens, revealing a human man, around mid-thirties, who looks almost scarily gaunt. His face is old and wrinkled, with his body a mess of skin and bones. And yet, his eyes flicker with joy and intellect. His white shirt, vest and pants have oil and soot over them, with his twirled mustache being the only clean bit of his whole persona. On his back, you just now see, a metal contraption, almost a backpack of sorts, with appendages extending from it. Around 6 or so gloved hands, all holding on to something different. Lorelei, you recognize this man, though it has been some time since you've last met, as Daniel Harding.
  8. Goboan The Goboians devoted themselves to preserving history and the cultures of the previous world, putting in place a monarchy inspired by the men and women of old. The people are welcoming, and the festivals are some of the largest in the world. Climate: Glacier, Tundra, Temperate Rainforest, Temperate Decidious Forest, Inspo: Bible Times in King David's day, Ancient Isreal, Judean, Samaritan Main Languages: Common, Goan   Current Royal Family King Ilana The current ruler or King, of Goboan is the young King Ilana. She was crowned recently following the death of her father, the late King Achim. So far, Ilana has been a fair ruler, but it is only a year into her rule, so only time will tell what kind of King Ilana will be. Prince Ishmerai The revered Prince Ishmerai is beloved by the people. While many believe he would be better suited to rule, Prince Ishmerai is uninterested in the throne. Prince Ishmerai is currently engaged to Lady Olsen Almendrud, a renowned Lady in Goboan High Society. Queen Mother Keziah The mother of King Ilana and Prince Ishmerai, and wife of the late King Achim. Still active in High Society and in her role of advising King Ilana.
  9.   As you heroes walk the path given to you by a small flyer, you take a quick glimpse at it. "The Almendrud Academy of Archeology is in search of helpful adventurers for an exploration! Pay is 500 gold per adventurer." It sounds like an ordinary job. Guide a few archeologists through their desired region, in search of some ruins. Nothing too unknown. A few hours into your journey, however ... as you near the distant tower known as Archeologicus Post, you do see something beyond your idea of normal. Hanging on the side of the tower, chained to it and yet ... a float, a large, full-sized ship. It has no water underneath, nothing. It is simply a floating vessel! And it is ... marvelous. The closer you get, the more marvelous it seems. What a ride this will be!
  10. The deadline is here, thank you everyone for your submissions, there were just a few too many for me to pick all of them! However I plan on running a few games in this world eventually, so keep an eye out! Congrats to the following people, who have made it into the game: @Guardian Angel Haruki @Passione @BobtheWizard @Mild Scribe @The Quixotic @Morhgor   I look forward to working with you guys! I'll wait another couple days for you to finish up your character connections if needed, and then we'll start the adventure!
  11. You can have history and religion yes. 🙂
  12. I'm finding it quite funny that at least half of you guys are playing vampires of some sort. I'm very interested in seeing how your characters react to finding out so many of you ended up in one place
  13. You will be traveling on one terrain for the most part, though I can't see it being problematic if you do select the correct terrain. I'd say go with whichever feels right for your character. I will say we are in South-East Goboan in this adventure, so the terrain is mainly forest and some desert here and there.
  14. I'd say reduce number 2 to resistance, and 3 to advantage on saves as you've said, and you're good!
  15. Technically they would also have human stats, but blood adoptions are tricky sometimes, so your character being a part-timer and not a completely underwater Aqmersi is actually realistic for what would happen biologically.
