Too amused, because it made him miss his chance to have Claudia end the speech her way. He sighs and turns to leave, feeling foolish. "We should get going back. Archbaron Fex will want to know what's happened today." He stops and thinks. Was he really going to return to the baron empty-handed? "Actually, are you capable of taking out her sons or causing a distraction for me to sneak up, Claudia? I still want to bring that helmet back to Archbaron Fex."

  3. Silas Tyseri Human AC: 16 HP: 14/14 Hero Points: 1/1 Fort: +3 Reflex: +5 Will: +2 Init: +3 Panache: 4/4 Silas smiles as Claudia whispers in his ear and plants villainous ideas in his head. "After she shows whatever she has in that box. That would be the best moment to put an end to it and maybe we could even take it if we're lucky." He whispers back.
  4. Silas Tyseri Human AC: 16 HP: 14/14 Hero Points: 1/1 Fort: +3 Reflex: +5 Will: +2 Init: +3 Panache: 4/4 Silas devotes his focus to Allemar as she finally comes down and starts to speak to the people. He particularly listens in when she talks about those who are making the lives of the people difficult. Go on, say something seditious. You righteous morons just can't help yourselves. Silas knew how profitable it could be to report on those who's belief in freedoms overruled their ability to keep their lips shut, so he waited for Allemar to give him the rope to hang her with.
  5. Fiametta Orsini Human AC: 16| HP: 12/12| Hero Points: 1 Fiametta groans again. Fighting would be significantly easier for her if she wasn't always having to fire around people. She summons up more energy and takes a shot at the largest dog.
  6. Silas Tyseri Human AC: 16 HP: 14/14 Hero Points: 1/1 Fort: +3 Reflex: +5 Will: +2 Init: +3 Panache: 4/4 Silas nods in response to Rhona. "Of course." Once Rhona's finally gone, he unlinks his arm from Claudia's now that he no longer needs to keep up any ruse. "Is Allamar going to speak any time soon? She's been dragging this out for quite a while now."
  7. Action Bluffing to Aid Cimri Silas Tyseri Human AC: 16 HP: 14/14 Hero Points: 1/1 Fort: +3 Reflex: +5 Will: +2 Init: +3 Panache: 4/4 "Well I have to say that this is a surprise. I would have expected the sight of some patriotic young adults, particularly one that's a relative of yours, to be a welcome sight, not a suspicious one. Especially in times such as these, don't you think?" Silas spoke up, trying to bolster Cimri's deception through appeals to civic pride.
  8. Silas Tyseri Human AC: 16 HP: 14/14 Hero Points: 1/1 Fort: +3 Reflex: +5 Will: +2 Init: +3 Panache: 4/4 Silas keeps a polite smile on his face, though internally his irritation towards Rhona grows as he's able to discern her true intentions. So she's not just here to be a nosy aunt, but she's suspicious of Cimri. What an insufferable woman. At the moment, Cimri seemed capable enough of not falling into the trap, which was fortunate, since Silas didn't have any idea on how to get that point across to Cimri without Rhona picking it up. So instead, he stood pat and simply attempted to overhear anything useful.
  9. Fiametta Orsini Human AC: 16| HP: 12/12| Hero Points: 1 Fiametta curses under her breath as she pulls in some dark energy and tries to squeeze in a shot at the largest of the dogs. She didn't particularly intend on killing dogs today, but if the dogs are going to alert the entire town, that's going to put a damper on the mission. Though who keeps dogs around to guard a place that's falling apart?
  10. Silas Tyseri Human AC: 16 HP: 14/14 Hero Points: 1/1 Fort: +3 Reflex: +5 Will: +2 Init: +3 Panache: 4/4 Silas smiles politely, though he can't help but feel a little disappointed that his maneuver couldn't rid the team of this bothersome sheriff. ""Oh, I wouldn't consider myself more or less pious than anyone else, but in truth, I'm mainly out here out of curiosity. Everyone else is out here for the Sword Knight, might as well see what's got everyone so hyped. Can't remember the last time something got the town this excited." In truth, Silas couldn't remember the last time he prayed to anyone, but if he had to guess, he was very young when he did so.
  11. Silas Tyseri Human AC: 16 HP: 14/14 Hero Points: 1/1 Fort: +3 Reflex: +5 Will: +2 Init: +3 Panache: 4/4 Silas has to restrain from breaking into outright laughter as the man pisses on himself, then falls face-first into a pool of it when Claudia casts his spell on him. So that's what she's bringing to the table. And I imagine that she can do more than pull pranks with it. He gives Claudia a smile, as if to say that she'll fit in this group just nicely. As he leads her out of the alleyway, he spots Cimry and Zoya trying to deal with the Sheriff. Well isn't that the last thing we need? He goes up to them, still arm-and-arm with Claudia as if the two of them were on a date. Oh hello, Sheriff Staelish. Claudia and I were taking a stroll through the streets just a moment ago and caught a man with his pants around his ankles passed out in a puddle of his own filth. Rather indecent sight, if I might say so myself, and if I had to guess, he probably had too much to drink and needs to sleep it off in a cell"
  12. Appearance: Certain elements of Carrick still look every part of what everyone dreams of when they think of a soldier. He stands tall at 6'2", chiseled jawline with a suitably hardy uniform, and a uniform in proper shape (because the unit that rescued him had the fortune of having a spare lying around). But it's the rest of him that betrays what he's suffered. The scar on his forehead that's far too long and uneven to be appealing. The sunken eyes from all the nights where he can't sleep. Personality: The things that Carrick experienced have largely left him without faith in Iomedae. He still prays to her, though at the current moment, it's more out of habit than anything else and he has little faith that she'll answer him, either because she lacks the power to do so, or doesn't care about those who pray to her. Though he keeps his burned-out faith to himself, as he possesses enough self-preservation to avoid expressing any troublesome sentiments. His desire to stay alive has also kept him from heading back into the field, even though he's been given a mysterious sword to use for whatever reason. He's much more interested in trying to stay alive, forget about what happened to him, and feel something that makes this life worth living.
  13. Fiametta Orsini Human AC: 16| HP: 12/12| Hero Points: 1 "Something is capable of tolerating the scent of piss long enough to live here?" She says, readying herself for something.

  16. Silas Tyseri Human AC: 16 HP: 14/14 Hero Points: 1/1 Fort: +3 Reflex: +5 Will: +2 Init: +3 Panache: 4/4 Silas nods and clocks the section of alley that could be used as a hiding spot as well as how the cart might play into that. He coughs and raises his voice just enough for the urinating man to know that he's been caught and that Silas knows exactly what he's doing. "All right dear, I think that perhaps we should get going and leave this good man to finish his business in peace, eh?" He hoped that Claudia was savvy enough to catch his message, that he thought it was time to get back to the square and that there was nothing more to explore here.
  17. Silas Tyseri Human AC: 16 HP: 14/14 Hero Points: 1/1 Fort: +3 Reflex: +5 Will: +2 Init: +3 Panache: 4/4 Silas plays the part of boyfriend, wrapping his arm around Claudia as she leans against him. His eyebrow raises as he spots the barrels of wood tar. "Tar? Are they planning on having someone tarred and feathered? Perhaps the activity Allemar has planned isn't so peaceful after all? It's hard to believe that they brought it out here because of a carpentry project."
  18. Silas Tyseri Human AC: 16 HP: 14/14 Hero Points: 1/1 Fort: +3 Reflex: +5 Will: +2 Init: +3 Panache: 4/4 Silas felt utterly humiliated as he failed to gain any meaningful knowledge and also had Claudia come over and lead him away like a little child. He hides in the dark alley, keeping an ear out for anything that sounds remotely seditious. "And what does Cimri think we'll find learn by listening in a dark alley?" 19. Fiametta Orsini Human AC: 16| HP: 12/12| Hero Points: 1 Fiametta wrinkles her face as she sees (and smells) Fair Fortune Livery. "If any guard is willing to approach us after we come out of here, they'll probably be more curious on why we willingly walked into a rotted building that smells like urine than what's inside our pockets." She says in response to John's concerns.
  20. Silas Tyseri Human AC: 16 HP: 14/14 Hero Points: 1/1 Fort: +3 Reflex: +5 Will: +2 Init: +3 Panache: 4/4 Silas slinked about, making himself as innocuous as possible in order to catch what was being discussed between the people here.
  21. Out of all the lies ever told, one of the biggest might be the lie that war is good or glorious or anything other than a place where soldiers die following the orders of higher-ups that are far removed from the fighting. Carrick was one of those unfortunate young men, joining the Crusades after being told promises of winning glory and honor by fighting the demons and protecting Golarion. Instead, he ended up serving in a squadron led by some blowhard knight that he suspected got his position from his connections rather than any ability. And it took short time for his commander's lack of qualifications to bite the squad when the knight foolishly led his unit into a cultist trap. Half of them were slaughtered right there and the others were taken back to be used as sacrifices for some sick ritual the cultists had planned. Being a prisoner of the cultists was a spirit-breaking affair for Carrick, as the demon-worshippers treated him and his fellow soldiers like animals during the time they were getting them ready for sacrifice. The one thing that kept things from falling into total despair was a young aasimar man who worshiped Ragathiel. A zealot, he tried to keep as much of his unit from losing hope as he could, even in those dire circumstances. In the end, he only managed to keep a few afloat, but to those few, he whispered to them plans of escape, of fighting back instead of being slaughtered like hogs. Carrick wasn't too optimistic that it would succeed, but in the dire circumstances that he and his comrades found themselves in, he figured it was better than not trying at all. Sacrifice day came and the aasimar led Carrick and his company in their escape plan. The cultists were not at all expecting that their beaten and almost broken prisoners had any capacity to fight back, but that would be their only advantage. While they fought bravely and managed to take a few of their captors down with them, many of the would-be escapees fell, too weak to fully fight their way out. Carrick only survived because he fled when things grew dire and through either luck or through the favor of a goddess he scarcely believed in anymore, his captors didn't notice him in the chaos. Alone, tired, and weakened, Carrick could do little more than spend the next few days wandering the Worldwound, hoping that the end would come quick. Luck would once again smile on him when he was found by a patrol of Crusaders, who took him in, treated him, and took him back to Kenabres. But the city provided little relief for Carrick, as he was continually plagued by nightmares of what he had experienced. One stood out from all the rest, a dream in which some shadowy demon emerged from the bloodshed of the attempted escape and presented Carrick with a sword. The horror extended to Carrick's waking when he found that the sword was still there with him. And so Carrick found himself at the Honeyed Blackmoor Cafe, hoping that the company of some beautiful girls will help him forget it all, if only for a few hours.
  22. Silas Tyseri Human AC: 16 HP: 14/14 Hero Points: 1/1 Fort: +3 Reflex: +5 Will: +2 Init: +3 Panache: 4/4 Silas raised an eyebrow as Signy called Cimri's aunt hot, wondering why his party members found so attractive about the Staelish women. Any port in a storm, I suppose. He followed Signy's lead and put some distance between himself and the others as he scanned the crowd.
  23. Silas Tyseri Human AC: 16 HP: 14/14 Hero Points: 1/1 Fort: +3 Reflex: +5 Will: +2 Init: +3 Panache: 4/4 "It's admirable, in a way. How she serves this town dutifully, without any complaints." Internally, Silas did wonder how Cimri's aunt was able to serve as the town sheriff without going mad from boredom. What opportunity was there to do anything meaningful in this two-horse town before today? He also had to note the coincidence of Cimri being connected to two of the most powerful people in town, something that made her existence useful to him.
  24. I'd be down for WotR, been trying to get in that for ages. In terms of campaigns to suggest, wouldn't say no to Return of the Runelords.
