Scene"Xax" is the ancient god of death and decay.

The PCs would notice how unusually quiet the forest has become ...

The Plains

Draven Bloodhawk, one of the two surviving guardsmen, walks up to the group - his eyes still wide with shock, "I ... I'd heard stories of the ferocity of andrak packs but .... I had no idea." He looked around at the now rider-less horses grazing in the distance ...

The wide face of the night sky appeared speckled with glimmering stars as the caravaners had settled down at the campfire. Khremel and the Arch-Bishop spoke of Lysor and the myriad healings performed there. They also went into the deep mysteries of the Gods explaining secret relationships such as the goddess Afyra being the niece of enigmatic Nemmereth! The two guardsmen didn't eat much of the rations instead sitting near the adventurers and listening intently ...

In his seated position at the shore of the lake the old man sighed making an unusual sound --

OOCPlayers should make a Perception save (11+ on 1d20).

Success means the PC gets an uneasy feeling about this old man ...

Quentin's appearance to the reporters draws a flurry of audio and video recorders as well as questions: what was his role in the events that occurred? What was his name? Is he local? Is he a new local superhero? Was he working with AEGIS? Why was he here? The questions came like an avalanche ---!

LaterQuentin would learn his mother came to the Row to surprise him with a gift and the "storm" left her stranded and alone. ECPD assisted her and she was in a cruiser giving the officer info on finding Quentin when the 'Stormer' lifted the cruiser from the street!

The 'gift' she had was a letter Q had never seen - from a pro football scout offering Q guidance/mentorship towards becoming a first-round pro draft pick! His mom had hesitated with revealing the letter because she didn't want others to take advantage of Q - and she was afraid to let him go ...

Pinnacle, Tempest, Hardlight and Crystal Knight:

The new heroes almost immediately discover after leaving the Row that 'social media' sites have exploded with videos of the fledgling 'superheroes' saving lives and fighting dangerous 'Stormers' (the term the media has coined for those gaining powers from the explosive storm on the Row)! The stunned heroes' phones and social media accounts are overrun with missed calls and messages from friends and relatives trying to learn more! Even before the heroes can reach home their phones are ringing like crazy! Local news media anchors have already started pointing at the videos and incoming reports about the new local supers as something unexpected but amazing - despite the emergence of superhuman criminals amidst the events!

OOCIt's the weekend so no classes and work has been semi-cancelled all across the city as local try to absorb the stunning events on the Row!

She also goes into the negative influence Manny's having and how Michael is countering it by trying to serve as a positive 'mentor' - "Michael's such a character! He doesn't act his age, you know? Very ... mature - Everybody's going to truly miss him -"

Because AEGIS has taken over the Row, "GM-to-Players" I'm shifting the news media aspect of this to a later scene. The civilian videos hitting the web is a "wilder" kind of public exposure that will make the PCs' relatives and family very interested in the superheroes. But the very specific kind of "interview" exposure is coming later which will allow the PCs to "properly" introduce themselves to Emerald City and the world.

Regarding the Row "right now" the reporters are focused on AEGIS instead of the PCs.

Adding another player: most of the upcoming encounters require more than what we have.

In the aftermath of the Silver Storm the PCs return to their day-to-day lives. Kind of. The city's in semi-chaos as the news media reports events. Also civilian video of the events on the Row have hit the internet and are trending internationally! So most of the PCs friends and relatives have seen them "in action" - it's something PCs will have to deal with going forward.

I'll be updating the IC for all heroes today.

What year is all this happening in? I couldn't find that information anywhere ...

Pisa's been featured in local news articles as a businessman with rumored connections to organized crime. He's been arrested a few times but never indicted. FCPD does have an anon tip line for people to report information. There's a lot of "anti-vigilante" material on the FCPD website and FCPD is offering a reward for anyone who can provide information on the city's newest vigilantes! Looks like Jake succeeded in getting a burner-phone 👍
