  1. Emil Rosenthal, the Vengeful Knight Human Knight of Solamnia, Oath of Vengeance Paladin 1 AC: 18 (Chain Mail+2 Shield) | HP: 12/12 (1d10+2) | Speed: 30 ft. Senses: Passive Perception 10, Insight 12, Investigation 9 Str: 16 (+3)|Dex: 10 (+0)|Con: 15 (+2)|Int: 8 (-1)|Wis: 10 (+0)|Cha: 14 (+2) Languages: Common, Solamnic, Abanasinian, Draconic "Lay on Hands": 5/5 | "Divine Sense": 3/3 | Precise Strike: 2/2 |  Spell SlotsPlaceholder until level 2 "..."   Emil held in the urge to simply say that dragons could swoop down from the skies at any minute. He knew better. Knowledge of the dragons and their ilk were commonplace, especially to people as well travelled as these. He need not remind these people of them, nor should he sour the mood further by going on a tirade about them.   "Even in a town as peaceful as this, trouble could brew. Madame Grovegust did say she was harassed by some people, no?"   He shot the Kender a quick glance before looking down on the table once more. Their presence pretty much verified his slight paranoia, which he was glad about.
  2. Lines & Veils Lines Pretty much nothing. I can stomach just about anything provided there's a literary reason for its presence and not just part of "The Writer's (or in this case, the DM's) barely disguised fetish™". Though I do draw the line at anything blatantly sexual done on children, hinting at it happening is fine though. If it can happen irl it can happen irp, and just like irl I relish in the chance to beat the shit out of subhuman trash that commit such acts irp. Veils Sexual stuff. Get a room, if I wanted to see pornography, I wouldn't come to this site of all places. Thumbs-Up (stuff you’d actually be happy to see!) Love me some good character drama. Romance? idk, seems like it'd be fun to try. Bloodshed. Opportunities to just go full force is much obliged.
  3. Welp, gonna edit that when I get home. Mobile hard. At least I only have my character’s rumors memorized.
  4. Speaking of secrets, I just realized. Shouldn’t we make the rumors section visible to only you, Rin?

It was always just ‘home’ to me.”   He spoke truthfully. When Emil first joined the knights, he had a hard time convincing the order that his home existed, to the point of bringing an officer with him to his home to prove it. Even then, it seemed nobody bothered to give it a name, perhaps it simply didn’t matter to most people, save for Emil himself. His melancholy was interrupted by Artanis placing a hand on his shoulder. He calmly took hold of his fellow knight’s forearm and gently moved it off of his shoulder.   “Better uncomfortable than unprepared.”

Though he still had a point. This was a funeral for a good man, it’s best to keep such words at bay for now.   “I hailed from a small village in Solamnia, by its northernmost border. It was a beautiful place, though it’s name could never be found in any map.”   He smiled for a second as he recalled the past. Though such days are long gone, the village and its people reduced to nothing but dust now. He shook his head before such memories could become overwhelming. Now is definitely not the time. He pulled down his helm’s face plate, covering his face once again now that he was finished eating.   “I’m not taking any chances. I feel naked without my armor.”

It wasn't until he swallowed that he spoke up, though he did not turn his head to face her as he continued cutting into his meat. Not as though he could see properly with the face plate now misaligned with his eyes.   "Call me what you will, I've heard worse names. Murderer, for one."   He replied, his voice rather soft and flamboyant, opposite of what one would expect of a man of his demeanor. He then took another forkful of meat as he reminisced briefly. He was always called the foulest of names by those he hunted, even some of the regular folk that simply feared how he presented himself, like a beast prowling about.   "Emil."   He spoke plainly this time, ceasing anything more cryptic. Still, that seemed to be the end of what he had to say, as he continued to finish his meal, maneuvering his hands carefully with choreographed movements.

Senses: Passive Perception 10, Insight 12, Investigation 9 Str: 16 (+3)|Dex: 10 (+0)|Con: 15 (+2)|Int: 8 (-1)|Wis: 10 (+0)|Cha: 14 (+2) Languages: Common, Solamnic, Abanasinian, Draconic "Lay on Hands": 5/5 | "Divine Sense": 3/3 | Precise Strike: 2/2 |  Spell SlotsPlaceholder until level 2 Ispin's death came as a surprise to the young knight. Even more so that he'd remember the young boy from a small farming village and made sure he was invited to his funeral. He had no choice but to make the journey, to give respect to the man that started the young man's dream to become a hero.   What would he think now...   The door swung open, an armor clad man wandering in. He moved almost as though he were one of the undead, a lifeless husk. It was a long journey, and it didn't help that he was wrapped head to toe in steel and mail, baking underneath equatorial heat. Nonetheless, he was finally here, and he could finally rest before the ceremony. He shambled towards the front desk, no doubt causing the proprietor a hint of unease. He listened to her offer of food and board and accepted, placing down a singular gold piece onto the desktop, collecting his change of four copper pieces.   As he waited for his room key and dishware, he deigned to take a look around at the colorful faces already at the inn, no doubt here for the same reason as himself. A scholarly looking elf. A dwarf that is clearly cut from the same cloth as Ispin, looking like a "proper" adventurer. A dwarven mage if that symbol was anything to go by. A dwarf that clearly came from the wilds. An exotic looking lady that he could only describe as sparkly. And last but not least, a fellow Knight of Solamnia. Emil couldn't help but place a hand on the faded crest upon his surcoat, somewhat relieved that they didn't match.   Good, he won't know who I am.   He received his key and the dishware needed to have a meal. He decided to deposit his belongings into his room first, keeping only his axe sheathed on his back. He returned to the common room, still clad in armor. Finally, he could have a proper meal. He took a good chunk of meat from the roasting pig, a bowl of stew, and just a cup of water to wash it all down. He took a seat just in time to listen to the barbarian's story. As he just slightly lifted his face plate to expose his mouth alone in order to eat, he could tell that while the deeds of Ispin were most likely true, the dwarf lied on how poorly the fight with the boar truly went. He couldn't help but give a low chuckle. OOC/Actions Emil loses 9 sp and 6 cp. Emil's Passive Insight of 12 definitely beats a 10.
  9. My mistake, forgor about touch for a second. So instead it's grabs you and shakes you violently as he shouts at you to get back up.   So essentially like this
  10. DISCLAIMER Mechanically, Emil is no different from a Paladin. In rp, however, he is anything but a paladin. With the permission of the DM, I have reflavored him being a Paladin to instead become one pissed off fighter. Lay on Hands? He just shouts at someone to get back up. Divine Health? He just powers through whatever sickness he has. Divine Smite? It's just him striking harder fueled by pure spite. No gods no masters, only vengeance. I have placed quotation marks on any relevant Paladin features to avoid confusion. Thanks.
