  1. I'm really tempted now to take the mage career, with a Spirit of +2 it's justified mechanically. What does 'Species +1' mean in the chart for Level 1?
  2. Attributes I decided to roll, but may regret it :) That's quite good, actually. Adaptation: water Menace +0 (Vitality: 12) Daring +2 Guile +1 Acuity +1 Presence +0 Spirit +2
  3. Stuff happened to me in RL as well, no problem.
  4. GM'ing is the harder part, so whichever is easier for you. Are you more an on-the-fly guy or more a prepare-ahead guy?
  5. I could only link the DriveThru products, if that's not a problem, but the mechanical differences won't really be there, I think. Dragon Age has only eight Abilities, Fantasy Age has 9, and they are not even the same minus one. Dragon Age is a somewhat specialized version of Fantasy Age, and I'm not sure the AGE System exists as such. As far as I know, it's more like a collective name like D&D or Fate (Core vs. Condensed vs. Accelerated), and there's no AGE System rulebook, only specific games.
  6. I was asking about surface / submersible, but the question was misleading. Also, this does not make much sense if every person is amphibious, maybe transporting goods under water has a certain type of vehicle.
  7. That sounds cool. Are ships amphibious (yes / no / some)?
  8. I really like the city state of Luercen, its struggle for keeping its freedom (I suppose), and defining its identity. I'll probably play a fourth scion of a lesser noble family -- probably inheriting next to nothing, so she has to make a name for herself by her own effort. Explore, explore, explore, fight, intrigue, adventure (what do you really mean by this?), make allies / friends / connections. Assist in building something long-lasting, but not ruling / managing it. Anniversary trip is cool, no need to be sorry. I was just inquiring how to proceed.
  9. I've just bought Belly of the Beast Perseverant RPG Vow of Honor RPG Cornerstone Basic Cornerstone Fantasy on DTRPG, for less than $7 in all. I'd like to run one of them, eventually. If you're interested in either, please drop a note here so that I can see the amount of traction for each.
  10. So, what now? What's the best way I can help?
  11. I really like the adaptive bodies idea, just thinking about how it actually looks like. Go with it.
  12. Do it here. Rolls ¤ Abilities Ability Sum Roller 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 12, 12, 15 ¤ -1, 0, 0, 1, 2, 2, 2, 3 9 sentient
  13. Roll one set of abilities: 8 x 3d6, post it, and when everyone's done, choose the set you want. The background and racial focuses / skills can be replaced freely: increase one ability choose an ability focus twice: increase an ability or choose an ability focus or a talent choose languages choose a class choose a talent
  14. Can we have a Dragon Age option, as it's different from the general AGE System? Thanks.
  15. As a player: you like the idea of playing a Grey Warden. Your character's feelings are a different matter, though. Include these: 1. Character pitch, 1 sentence <= 20 words. 2. Character story, personality, appearance, motivations/goals 3. Character class, race, main points of expertise 4. What will focus the character on doing their Warden job? Honor: they swore an oath, and that binds Duty: they feel responsible for the world Loyalty: to a lord, a noble house, their one true love, their family, a settlement Altruism: the poor, the weak, the downtrodden must be protected Self-interest: if the world gets destroyed, that's not fun for the character Something else? 5. How will your character feel about becoming / being a Warden?
  16. Rival noble houses, merchants on the rise, towns but no huge cities, alchemists, witches, sorcerers, knights, town guard, guilds. A quick list of elements that will be enough for me to get the feeling.
  17. The non-magical re-shaping of body parts is an interesting concept, never heard of it. I'll think about it and whether I want it, or just stick to a single amphibious body. It might be interesting if a more advanced nation from the distant mainland discovered the archipelago and has unknown intentions. I like that as the vague sinister threat. And also the immediate problems being local. One PC it is, then. If I can make some of the NPC companions that would be cool.
  18. Fine for me. There's a traditional DnD race called triton, is the name ok with you? It's an option to make them shapeshifters with two available forms: merfolk and landfolk, and they can change at will. That would put a little spin on the identity, though we can simply state that a person's froms are easily recognizable as the same person. The game heading picture is breathtaking! I'd like this to be a regular location in the game. Is this pelago isolated from mainland, or is it adjacent to it? If the former, how far is it from the continent? Is it a kingdom in itself, or part of one? Or is it several kingdoms? How large is the pelago? I'd like to have a plot-wise distant, sinister threat in the background, only seeping into the game mildly. Are you ok with multiple PCs? If yes, they'll have a shared goal that's very important for each.
