  1. Aboard the Orien Express: Prelude Event #1 — Questions! Questions? Questions. The cloying scent of pipeweed hangs heavy in the air, mingling with the intoxicating scent of expertly-prepared libations. Outside the wide-pane window that stretched the length of the lounge, the Mournland streaks by in a blur of grays and blacks, dark and desolate. The rhythmic clatter of the lightning rail, and all its luxurious amenities, still cannot truly placate a mind that truly understand where they are and what, exactly, awaits them in the empty expanse. Perhaps that was why the drinks were so heavy... As the conversation amongst the passengers goes on, introductions passing by here and there, idle chit-chat lingering in the wings, eyes are drawn towards the head of the lounge car. Something feels... off. Three figures weave through the spacious throng of patrons, their movements disquieting to the general air of relaxation. An unmistakably Elven woman in uniform, with eyes like polished obsidian, and a smile that never reaches far enough, mingles amongst the crowd, flanked by an entourage of heavily armed security officials. Beyond the clatter of the train and the noise of the lounge it is unclear what, exactly, she seems to be addressing with the other passengers, but whatever it is comes with a discernable sense of false geniality. Eventually, she meanders up to the eclectic crowd discussing matters of the Gigantic and a phantom signal. Her voice is light, almost mockingly so, but her gaze is laser-focused, capable of noting even the smallest of tremors in one's hand, or any discomfort at surface level — maybe more... "Headed to the Oakhurst, are we?" She chirps, glancing at each present at the table in turn. "Business or pleasure, if you don't mind my asking?" You've heard whispers about the security of the Orien Express, rumors of heightened vigilance in the wake of... incidents, and simply by the nature of its travel path and destination, but something about the intensity of this scruity makes your skin crawl. "True tragedy, what happened to the Gigantic. I should hope none of you knew any aboard, given the reports." OOC Feel free to interact, or not! No requirement. Also, does anybody know how to wrap text around an image here? :o
  2. This is correct. I'm going by the staple year as per the source book; it's easier that way. Plus, I like how close it is to the Day of Mourning.
  3. Great work! Can't go wrong with Yuan-Ti. I wonder, how do you imagine her interacting with a party of mostly do-goods? Either way, consider it complete and best of luck in the final selection!
