  1. My sheet is updated and I think I am ready for the next chapter!
  2. Upgrade to PL 14: Leslie had too much PP for her PL, so I'd cast too wide a net to bring everything up to the PL maximum. Exciting! Increased her array by 12 points, thus increasing her Affliction, Damage, Regeneration, and Weaken powers. These were rank increases; no extras were purchased. Increased her base Defensive Roll advantage by 1 (which means it was also applied to her mundane form) and her Enhanced Advantage by 1, which was applied to her Defensive Roll. In effect, this meant her mundane form gained 1 Toughness and her scion form gained 2 Toughness (one of which is magical and one of which is mundane). Increased her Parry and Dodge defenses by 2 each. This leaves her Fortitude and Will defenses below the PL maximum, so if you want to hurt her, that's what to target!
  3. I think we were PL11, but I think the older PCs picked up extra PP at some point. Checking Leslie's sheet, her attacks and saves are maxed out for PL11, but she's built with 190 PP.

Leslie crosses her arms and inspects the two scions carefully, as if they hadn't just saved her life from an especially powerful rampant. After a moment, she closes her eyes and smirks. "Heh!" She shakes her head and opens her eyes. "What is a queen without her army, as I always say? I'm sure our team has a place for them. After all, they already have the knight's approval." She uncrosses an arm and gestures towards Anna, then moves her hands to her hips. "Now, I'd love to hear your stories. It sounds like you're both coming out of retirement. Care to tell me more?"
  5. I think we're still discussing, unless the others think the conversation has run its course.

Leslie is so immersed in the emotion flowing off of the scions that it takes her a moment to shake herself out of her reverie. She exhales heavily and gives her head a slight shake, trying to clear her thoughts. Is this what being drunk? she wonders. Am I drunk on feels? "What about me?" she asks. "I never retired. Why would I? And besides, what a crime it would be, to so deprive the world! Power like this comes with a responsibility, don't you think?" She tosses an errant length of hair, displaced by her head shake, over her shoulder and chuckles. "Fufufufu. Nonetheless, it's good to know you're back in the game. Now..." She leans forward towards the two new - or not - scions, eyes wide with anticipation. "...it seems like you two have some delicious stories about your duties. I must know."

Already raw from the post-battle adrenaline crash, Leslie gives into temptation and simply basks in the emotional glow for a moment before recovering her composure and considering her options. She could let this just play out, and if this were the Fortune Private Learning Academy, she just might. But she has no intention of ever returning to this dismal, underfunded, casual-dress high school ever again, so she won't benefit from whatever drama comes of this. And anyway, she does owe them all her life now, maybe. She supposes they're due this much. "Careful in your human form," Leslie warns Morgan through grit teeth, putting a gloved hand on her other shoulder. "You're visible to normals now. You look like you're screaming at thin air. And if anyone here has Aurora Syndrome, they just saw you change forms." She retracts her hand and crosses her arms, smirking slightly. Her voice resumes its early, regal tone. "After all, you look like someone with a reputation to maintain. And that's something I dearly understand."

"Good," she says smoothly, flicking an errant lock of hair behind her shoulder. "All the pieces are in place." With no time to waste, she enters the portal.
  9. It's redundant at this point, but just joining in to say that post format is very impressive! I may have to steal it.

She couldn't hold it if she wanted, any more than she could clutch water between her thumb and forefinger, and she desperately did not want to. She scrunches her eyes shut and presses her palms to her eyes for fear the sight of something would come for her again. It's only a ripple of emotion that gives her the courage to crack her fingers and glance askew to see the moochee beckoning from the portal. She extends a hand and goes for it. "Yes! Get me out!" she says, but at the threshhold, looks back as something occurs to her. "What about the others? Kal - Springtime - what if they're still here?"
  11. Well, I can't guarantee that won't happen. Many well-made games end that way, not just Palladium. But I can promise that I'll stay committed to the game for as long as the players do! As long as you have and can reference the book, I'd be happy to guide you!
  12. Would anyone be interested in playing Palladium's Nightbane?

Leslie calls back to the Black Fixer. "But why not make it watch its world die with it? Its suffering will be exquisite!" She's keeping her options open, of course. She's sure the rampant isn't fond of any of them, but the crueler she can be towards it, the more hatred it will bear for her. If this doesn't work, she's going to need it. Mechanics Leslie attempts to undo a knot the Black Fixer pointed out, using the same magical knowledge she wielded before.
  14. Oh my god, you're right. I thought it was spread over two minutes, not one minute. For years I thought that!
  15. Makes sense! Should I maintain the Regeneration this turn?
