  1. Null For most of the conversation, Null had opted to remain silent as they considered everything they had learned while following them. When their Nanodetector had pinged them, they had gotten further lost in the new information, looking over it for awhile as Aeos and the others talked amongst themselves over plans for a possible party? Their thoughts were suddenly interrupted by the TacNet notification of their fellow crewmember's sudden death, which honestly surprised Null that they had fallen into danger that fast already. They were about to ask questions when Aeos replied to the group once and Null almost immediately picked up on the possibility that if Surya didn't know then it might be bad for her to uncover what had currently been going on. "I was actually looking forward to touring more around the facility. And, I don't know if I'm invited to the...party. If you are still up for it Surya, would you be inclined to show me around more?" TacNet Null (Message to Aeos): If we need to keep them distracted, I could use this opportunity to learn and record more information. Null (Both Team Chat): If we do go deeper into the facility, we should be careful, they've got Nanobots Spying in the deeper areas and relaying information.
  2. Null Once Null was no longer lost in their thoughts, they made sure to silently take pictures of the shaft and the notable parts of it, including the elevator control panel that had been left untouched, except for the latch which had been welded shut. With this in mind, they packaged all the relevant information they knew about mineshafts and sent the information over the TacNet to the rest of their party. Though they didn't dare linger longer looking at anything than they should lest they draw the attention of the other employees they had snuck away with. Overall, it gave them an idea of how they might proceed further into the mineshaft, though if they opted to go down that route, then they would need to it at a later point when they were all gathered and prepared.
  3. Null Null had felt momentarily paralyzed by what had occurred but given that they were essentially supposed to be working in a team, they eventually concluded that the smarter and safer option would be to not split up and instead stick close by in case an accident occurred, or something blew their cover on the very first day. Once they followed Aeos and the other two, Null pretty much kept to themselves. Which it seemed like was fine for the rest of them. Instead, they just kept silently taking pictures into their memory banks and recorded the path they had taken to get here as well as the various tidbits of information Danika opted to give freely. The slow fall down the mineshaft however had sparked something within Null's memory, a faint familiarity of information about Habitats and the construction of them. As they slowly descended down the shaft, their Synthmorph seemingly went offline as they tried to recall what it was that they knew about Habitat Operations, especially in regard to mining operations like this. When they landed and Danika asked the group what everyone thought of it, they came back online, seemingly automatically. Though, they remained silent and opted to let Aeos and Surya respond, since it was far more likely that those two were who the question was directed towards. Then as they tried to process over their thoughts, Null noticed the message in the TacNet and wondered if maybe perhaps they should've kept on eye on their other roommate.
  4. Null It seemed like Maria was at least socially similar to Null, though it was far more likely because she was shy and nervous rather than simply out of sorts like they were. As they walked and made their way to the cafeteria, Null spoke when spoken too and gave the fabricated backstory that had been constructed for them. It had been simple things enough. When Surya had asked them where they would like to go, Null took a moment to familiarize themselves with the map, effectively snapping a screenshot of the map with their vision and storing the information away for later use. "If possible, I think I would enjoy getting to just tour the areas we are allowed to be in for the time, do a little sightseeing and see how everyone is doing here." they had told her. It was almost a non-committal answer, but they figured at least visiting every basic area would give them a good sense of what was where in regard to the map. After all, it would be more helpful if they had a general understanding of basic inventory of other staff and equipment as well as to try and fit in before anything possibly got to rough. Though, before it seemed like Surya could answer or reply, two new individuals made their way to their little group. Almost immediately Null noticed how both they and Maria were ignored as the attention focused on Surya and Aeos. Which was fine itself. The less anyone paid attention to Null, the more they could easily fit in when the time to strike came. As Aeos spoke with them, Null focused their attention on Maria to wait and see how they reacted.
  5. Null On the trip there, Null had been mostly quiet. It had been literal years since they had had an actual physical presence in the material reality that they had been born into at some point in some place. When asked a question they had answered as best as they could with what limited information they had to share. Though for the most part it looked as though the other new Hires had almost little to no interest in small talk or conversation, which, Null assumed they wouldn't have been equipped to provide. Admittedly, they were still trying to get used to having a body again even though they had had enough time to integrate into it. It still felt strange but not in the standard sense. It was like being awake after sleeping even though one had been awake while they slept. The particular Synth morph they had chosen was a rather bare basic one. It was completely nonbinary in its presentation and by the time they were in the suite had been dressed in their employee uniform, fitting with their tools and other gear that would be required for the job, as well as any other gear they had been able to bring in on loan from their real employers. When Surya and Maria offered to go exploring with them, Null waited for the other to respond before answering. It looked as though two of them would be doing anything else, while Aeos would join. So Null moved to step closer and join the Slyph Morph. "If it is no trouble, I would like to join you and the others to explore our new station and get to know each other as well," they said, their voice coming out from their morph as a slightly monotone masculine voice.
  6. I was thinking the scavenger gear list would be the most sense. In my mind anyway, this is all stuff that is being loaned to Null in any regards.
  7. I had currently taken the enforcer starter pack but I think I had posed a question on the discord if it was possible for me to grab another starter pack to spend the last 10 GP I had.
  8. Morph: Synth Morph Type: Synthmorph Morph Traits: Exoitic Morphology (level 1), No Biology, Pain Filter, Immunity to Shock, Environmental Durability, Toughness Morph Ware: Limberness 2, Innocuous Looks 1 Gear: Aggro (5 doses), Claws, Flex Cutter, Grin (5 doses), Muscle Augmentation, Shock Glove, Shredder
  9. Null Still trying to get used to the sensations of consciousness and mental awareness, Null briefly lost connection when their environment was reloaded completely. With the psychedelic loading screen finished and the new location loaded, the digital intangible presence that was Null managed to reconnect back in. There was still almost no detail to them other than a blank humanoid silhouette with the 'NULL' symbol on their chest as though whatever had attempted to load and fill in the space still was able to fully form, but now they had a more...tangible representation of themselves with which to act upon. As the briefing went and they received the files, they silently read over them as they did their best to listen to what was being explained to them. When it came to the mention of gear and such, they turned their head as if in thought. "I will need to be loaned a Morph and Gear..." They replied plainly. "From what I can recall about myself, I didn't have anything to lay claim to. If I understand everything correctly so far, I will need something to best suit the role I'm being hired for, for the role I'm being hired to do. If I'm supposed to blend in, then I figure I would need something plain and simple." Warden "Don't worry Null, I've got that taken care of for you. I'm taking everything into account and sending them what I think will be best suited for your needs to assist them." Null's Muse then proceeded to do exactly as they said they would do, forwarding the information as best it could over to Ghost and Specter. Specifically, it was a simple and unobtrusive basic Synth Morph that had been altered with specialty design that would grant it extra special Limberness, of course, the specific model that Null's Muse had chosen had been selected for its Innocuous Looks as well. Something that would allow Null to blend in far easier and move about. From where they were, they looked to the others still trying to commit names to figures.

The relative concept of linear time had been for lack of a better word, a dream. It was something they had woken up into quite recently indeed. They had been asleep once or maybe they still were. It was hard to think about and even more concerning to have to think about. Perhaps the more concerning part was...the lack of sensation or even the memory of sensation that they assumed would've been something they could remember feeling. But they couldn't or at least they were assuming they couldn't. That was when they finally noticed that they actually were conscious. Or they thought they were at least. They could see they were on a beach somewhere. A beach? They knew what a beach was...but they had never actually been to one their entire life. From the vague recollection, everything they thought it might've been seemed to be what it was. Warden (Internal) "I'm sorry #6432. It took a while to get connected. The current hardware I reside within is in severe need of an upgrade by a few centuries at least and currently your engram, your ego, is currently taking up what meagre free space I had. I'm just thankful that they were able to connect to it, though the Mesh is much different than it was before and you may find that we will be lagging until I am uploaded and updated to the Mesh completely, then we can see about getting your Ego backed up as well. But this is where they said they wanted to talk to you...or us rather. Since I am your Caretaker after all." Null nodded? No that wasn't right. They didn't have a presence. So they couldn't nod. They could only give the mental impression of acknowledgement. Something hadn't gone right it seemed when they woke up. Wherever they were, they currently felt as though they were an apparition. Invisible. Did they even have a presence at all? Awareness touched at them from the corners of their mind and all to soon they became aware of the fact that they did have a presence. It was just...not articulate. They became aware that within this place on this beach, they were nothing more than a zero with a line through it. They were nothing more than a literal symbol, a message to indicate information or the lack of it. Which didn't feel accurate to the idea of the location from which they found themselves. A beautiful pristine little beach in an unfamiliar place. Briefly they entertained the notion that maybe they had simply passed on and were in some form of afterlife, if that was something one believed in. However, considering that the ALI was talking to them, that was proof enough that that wasn't the case. So given their lack of physicality but in spite of their now cognitive awareness they were likely in some manner of digital space. Warden (Internal) "I'm sorry again. I know you are likely to be very confused #6432. A lot has happened, and I've done my best to try and explain it to you, but it's hard to communicate information to a backup of inactive ego. I should warn you that as you 'wake up' more, you'll start to feel less analytical and become more like how you used to be and I promise we'll get everything about you as fixed as we can. At the moment, try to meet with people and communicate. Enjoy the scenery, just...let your mind, no pun intended, wander about. The people who rescued us will want to talk and they will explain things to you and I'll keep in communication with the ones currently holding onto my hardware." That seemed fine with Null. Made perfectly reasonable sense. through their limited awareness they could tell that there were other personalities nearby and so they...willed themselves to approach closer to them. If that is what passed for movement for them was at this given point in time. As they made their way closer they stopped to glance over at the simulated ocean and really took in the sight for a moment. Something about the water was causing them to pause in their thoughts. What was it about water? No. Not Water. Blood. They couldn't speak for anyone else there, but for Null and for a brief instance the Ocean wasn't composed of water. It was composed of Blood. But then it was water again and there was nothing wrong. Or at least Null hoped there was nothing wrong. The idea of a Blood Ocean...bothered them, but they couldn't recall why. "H....Hello? Yes. Hello. Hi. My name is...You can refer to me as...Null. How are you?" Their voice...the idea of their voice as it were, the complex attempt for them from which to communicate sounded as it was full of static and was delayed by a few milliseconds. There was no particular inflection or accent to it and was rather monotone and androgenous. That wasn't good. Warden (Internal) "Oh no! That's not good. I'm sorry <Null>. I'll try to get that fixed too. Just please bear with me. If anyone gives you difficulty, I'll try to log you out until they can get us updated."
  11. I went ahead and chose alienation as I feel beyond being strangely comfortable with violence, Null wouldn't have any issues whatsoever with feeling disconnected from themselves. Given their situation, that's their base standard feeling. XD
  12. I'm very happy to hear that you like the character concept so far^^ I think I've updated the skills as listed and suggested. And yeah I think I meant enforcer but saw Thug, so I wrote that down, I made that change for sure. XD Also, I wasn't quite sure how reputation worked, so I was thinking that it would also reflect like infamy, but I've made the change all the same XD I've chosen the extra information and changed my character point distribution as well, so I've given myself some extra hardening as well as an extra ego flex, plus some extra guns skill. However, as I was adding my skills up, I couldn't find where the extra 20 points in free fall were, since I could see it only went up to 80, however, I would like to add those points into Guns if possible. As for how I like to imagine my character fitting in, since I myself am extremely new to the system and game as a whole, I was thinking having my character be "rescued" would be the easiest fit.

They want to reconnect to people but can’t seem to escape from a past they can’t remember. They were once a prisoner, a criminal, and it seems that forgotten life is bound to their very essence. Skills: Free Fall 80, Interface 60, Perceive 20, Fray 50, Hardware 50 (Industrial), Know 60 (Habitat Ops), Know 30 (Black Markets), Guns 40, Melee 50, Provoke 30, Know 60 (Security Ops), Know 30 (Gambling), Hardware 40 (Electronics), Know 40 (Astronomy) Character History: Blood. If you were to ask Null what they remember most about their life before the awoke from cryo sleep that would be it. Blood was everywhere. It had flooded into the Prison Habitat entirely. They don’t even remember being put into cryo sleep when it happened either. If you were to ask them if they could remember beyond the Blood, the details come and go, as if nothing more than phantom sensations. Thankfully however their Muse was able to fill in most of the missing details that they were able to provide. Null was a prisoner located within a deep space black site, hidden away within a Nebula in the edge of the Fringe long before the Fall occurred. It was here that Null was one of many faceless indentured workers for some sort of classified project. They had nothing to themselves other than an identifying number, 6432. Whatever past they may have once had was supposedly expunged from their memories. In fact, Null’s Muse has admitted that during this time they were the Station’s very own ALI that was used to keep things operating smoothly. Then the Anomaly occurred, and the Station’s ALI went offline and suffered from what it only describes as a mainframe corruption. It has posited that it was during this time Null was put into cyro sleep as the Fall occurred in the Background. Whatever had happened though had left Null as the sole survivor. After an undetermined amount of time later, Null’s Muse was able to reboot and assess the situation as best as it could. With #6432 being the only survivor and its sectors majorly corrupted, it assigned itself to Null as their caretaker until they finally awoke. During that time, it spent itself trying to recover enough of itself to send out a signal for someone, anyone to find them so it could get Null off the Station. Finally Null awoke...with a caveat. Those that their Muse had managed to signal were able to download a copy of Null and transport them off the station, with Muse tagging along. Their original body was still in cryo sleep aboard the station, drifting in a nameless nebula on the Fringes. With memories of blood and enslavement being their only guiding points, Null named their impromptu muse their Warden and joined up with those that had pulled them out of that nightmarish station.
  14. Hello! My friend directed me here and I figured I'd toss my hat into the ring and apply, though I will be upfront, I'm very much a newbie to the system and would need help learning and being taught how things go, but I do have a copy of the 2nd edition book, and going through the character creation process as outlined has been pretty smooth so far, I think, but I'm always up for advice and pointers^^
