FEATS AND ABILITIES
ANCESTRY FEATS CLASS FEATS GENERAL FEATS
PitbornYour blood bears the mark of a demon, a living embodiment of sin from the fetid depths of the Abyss. Demonic power pulses through your veins and manifests in a different way for each pitborn, whether you have webbed fingers and thrive in the water, large hands capable of wrestling larger foes, or some other manifestation. You are trained in Athletics. If you were already trained in Athletics (from your background or class, for example), you instead become trained in a skill of your choice.

You also gain any one common 1st-level skill feat with a prerequisite of trained in Athletics, as reflects the manifestation of your Abyssal blood.

SKILL FEATS CLASS ABILITIES ARCHETYPE FEATS

Select one of the specialties listed below; you gain a +1 circumstance bonus to Crafting checks to Craft items of that type. If you are a master in Crafting, this bonus increases to +2. If it’s unclear whether the specialty applies, the GM decides. Some specialties might apply only partially. For example, if you were making a morningstar and had specialty in woodworking, the GM might give you half your bonus because the item requires both blacksmithing and woodworking., Quick JumpYou can use High Jump and Long Jump as a single action instead of 2 actions. Appearance

A somewhat strage sight to behold, Shayna stands nearly 6' tall on her hoofed feet. Her elven heritage is nearly invisible, beyond her pointed ears and featureless orange eyes. Her skin, on the other hand, has a pale violet tone to it, and her hair a much richer shade of the same. The pale ram's horns that grow from her head are capped with ornamentation, preventing their narrow tips from accidental injury. If it weren't for the long, smooth tail, and general lack of brown fur, she would be easily mistaken for a satyr (And often is, at first glance). Emblazoned across most of her upper back is a very lifelike tattoo of a raven that seems almost to move when seen from the corner of the eye.

Background

Shayna was originally born to a vourinoi elven tribe in Osirion. Unfortunately for her mother, the ram horns were already growing in the womb and she didn't survive the birth. Her father tried to raise her and love her as any other child, but she could always feel his simmering resentment and distrust. Many of the others saw her as a bad omen, possibly even a corruption of the Brightness. So she spent much of her youth alone, studying what knowledge she could out in the desert. She found she had a knack for runic writing, enough that one day a raven came to her, and she bonded with the bird, taking it as a familiar, helping her in her burgeoning magical talents. Her first breakthrough was using her runes to tattoo herself to allow her new friend to take refuge in her own flesh.

When she was a teenager, one of the other elves of her oasis was found dead by an unknown cause, apparently without injury. Though she hadn't been anywhere near, most of the others immediately blamed the "cursed one". Even though she knew it wasn't her fault, she didn't see anyone believing her. Even her own father seemed to doubt her. So rather than stay and await whatever punishment they would dole upon her, she fled in the night. It wouldn't be the last time she was falsely accused of a crime. She thought they may pursue her; if they truly believed she had murdered one of the tribe, they certainly wouldn't take it lightly, especially on her absence. So she made sure to keep going, heading south. Along the way, she heard of the city of mechanical wonder. The fact that it was dead center in the mana wastes did give her pause, though she thought it may throw off any pursuit her family was undertaking.

So, she made her way to Alkenstar. Of course, the "wonder" of the city turned out to be a bit of a misnomer, but it was still a fresh start. Turned out, though, that being part demon didn't make her any more popular there than it had in her birth nation. So it didn't take long before she was amongst the dregs of the city, working her trade for whoever would pay. She never asked what any of the gear would be used for. It didn't bother her terribly, though, what did she care for the so-called "upstanding citizens?" They'd never given her a fair shot, so she wouldn't give them one either. After a few years, she'd made a bit of a name for herself, her wares getting a bit more attention. So when one of the many things she'd sold over the years was found somewhere in the vicinity of a crime (circumstantial evidence at best), the shieldwardens came knocking, looking to blame the demon-blood, yet again for something she didn't do.

@spitfire6006006, thanks for sending in an app.

Osirion to Alkenstar is quite the change of setting! The circumstances of her birth, and presumed social ostracisation, explain well why she would feel forced to flee her homeland for the dirty side of Alkenstar, where virtues and social norms fall to the wayside in the eternal pursuit of scraping enough together to get by.

She looks good mechanically, I'll mark Shayna as complete!
