Alex hears Shaggy ask for some medical help. "Let me take a look at those wounds. I should be able to fix you up." Alex leads Shaggy into the inn to see to his injuries.

The Village of Salvoy

 

Dean BiddieAlexander treats your injuries and you settle down for the night to sleep, having purchased whatever equipment you can find in this small village. 

Exhausted, the night passes quickly and Dean Biddle wakes you at dawn with greasy, fried food for breakfast, "Fighting food, I call it. Sausages, eggs, bacon, black pudding, fried mushrooms, everything a body needs for energy."

"They're on their way. There's an ugly bloke following them. He came out of the stone circle last. That was when me da told me to come an' let ya know."

"OI, LLAMA BOY, you ain't that fast!" A loud voice calls out. Apparently the ogres have arrived already. You hear splashing as someone crosses the ford.

spacer.png Shaggy sighs and moves into position closer to the gate. "Anybody doing ranged combat, form up by me. Melee, form up closer to the gate, by Scooby there. Polearms at the gate"

 

 

Crunch

Ride to the edge of the greenery across the road from the gate and bring Scooby along - between Shaggy and the gate.

 

Am I seeing correctly that the Ogre on the map is not large?

Hands: Sword and Broken Shield

Once Shaggy starts barking out commands, Sir Michael starts to fumble about with his belongings. He makes sure his sword is in hand shield strapped to his arm. After one more furtive look around, the (almost) battle-hardened warrior begins to make his way towards the front gate as suggested.

Alexander hurries to catch up with Michael. "Michael, Sarenrae will help protect you!" The cleric prays a prayer of Protection over the fighter. Then Alexander moves to catch up to Shaggy.

"WHERE ARE YA, LLAMA BOY!" the ogre splashes across the ford and smashes into the gate.

When it doesn't give way immediately he slams into it again.

The gate has 20 hp 14 hp, hardness 5 and 10 broken threshold

You don't have direct line of sight to the ogre and vise versa so he is Hidden from you and you from him.

Hurling the tanglefoot spell over the gate doesn't seem to have struck anything as the ogrekin continues his smashing. Magic infuses Shaggy's longspear.

With a loud crack the gate splinters and the ogre begins pulling planks of wood out of it in order to climb through.

 


OOC Scene Notes

The gate has 20 hp 8 hp, hardness 5 and 10 broken threshold. It is now broken but not destroyed.

Sir Michael gets his prepared attack against the ogre now.
