He gets a recovery but it is low so he has a few more points of stun now. I agree that Luck shouldn't be used willy nilly, especially to change things in combat. But this is a good opportunity. Roll Luck. The first six negates the critical failure to just a miss. Hopefully he doesn't get knocked out by Samson with the next attack and can finish this without being humiliated in front of all these people. His mind only slightly more clear from a moment ago, but Brown Samson has yet to move as he tries to shake off the pain of The Fluke's earlier attacks. Samson looks up as The Fluke charges into him, landing a punch square on the jaw, knocking the big man out. There is a very quick, short cheer from around the neighborhood but doors quickly slam shut. Apparently the neighbors didn't want the other gang members in Samson's gang to know they were celebrating the big man's fall. Seeing all the peeking faces gone from the windows and doors, he sighs and stands up. Samson's down, but there's still alot of work to do here. Walking the street and picking up his discs, he reaches into one of the pouches on his belt and pulls out a stack of Heroix.com business cards and sticks them in mailboxes and on car windshields. With that done he stays nearby the unconscious Samson, waiting for Police and EMS to show up and pulls out his phone and dials Victoria. "Hey Vic. Let me tell you about my night..." It is designed to contain super powered threat, at least temporarily until the State DTU can relieve the city of the responsibility. Rumors abound of a Federal DTU but it is vehemently denied at all levels of government. When they arrive, the LT tries to BS The Fluke about how they were preparing to take down Samson and would have likely acted in the next few days. Somehow, Charles doesn't believe him. Of course, the two Drayden Flats precincts are so overwhelmed by the crime in the area that a rogue super villain in Drayden Flats hardly hits the SCPD's radar. The Lieutenant does thank the Fluke for his intervention and protecting the lives of innocents in the area and the safety of his men who surely would have been put in harms way. Sadly, a few days later, Charles finds a news report on on the internet where gang violence erupted on that block just a few hours after the arrest of Samson. Apparently a rival gang used the opportunity to take out Samson's gang. Several members of the gang were gunned down as well as a member of the rival gang. No innocents were killed but one man took a stray bullet in the arm. It isn't hard for Charles to put two and two together and figure out that his "informant" on Samson was fake, using a now dead email address and a fake name. The videos of Samson were real and Samson was a legitimate threat to the neighborhood but the power vacuum switches from one gang to another. We will call it on this thread for now but if you'd like Charles to do something further, we can explore that in another RP thread.
