Krimsin Posted October 10, 2022 Clone Share Posted October 10, 2022 It refers to the END Survival test for natural healing from rest, not active healing from medicine or first aid and such. X51 Posted October 10, 2022 Author Clone Share Posted October 10, 2022 Correct. Faster Healing applies to naturally healing injuries, and not HP. When you rest, you make an END+Survival roll with a difficulty of 1. Faster Healing gets you the first additional d20 for free, which lets you get 5d20 for 3 AP instead of 6. X51 Posted October 10, 2022 Author Clone Share Posted October 10, 2022 I looked over the Conan book, which came out before Fallout, and it does have a more active 'opposed test' form of combat, so I think the Fallout system had something similar. The big difference between the two is the skillset, though; Parry and Dodge are skills in the Conan system. I think one of the reasons that got changed is to be more in line with the games, where defense is passive. That's one of the several things I like about this system: it does feel like a Fallout game, at least to me. Yes, it's most in line with Fallout 4 (which I like, but not everyone does), but it also incorporates things from older games, like skills and traits. LarsWester Posted October 10, 2022 Clone Share Posted October 10, 2022 Definitely seems like the game has the feel of Fallout. I hope that the game keeps a little bit of the dark humor that is throughout Fallout. Name xDiceName xDiceResult xDiceString xDiceRolls
