Appearance

 

Lummobella (Bella for short) is tall for a dwarf (especially a dwarf woman).  She has full brown hair that falls to her waist, although she mostly wears it in a braid.  She has a very nice contralto voice, surprising people who are more used to gruff dwarven male bass voices.  And she knows how to use the full range of her voice to express herself.

She wears nice but sturdy clothes (and armour), but she has a nicer set of clothes for when she's entertaining.  She likes the surprise she gets when she walks into a village with a lyre and a ball on a chain (Dorn-Dergar) on her person.

 

Personality

 

She's very curious, always wondering what happened and what's going on.  She's mostly calm, trying to see everybody's point of view during an argument, but she's still a dwarf with a dwarf's ability to never forget a grudge.

While she likes to be around people (well, most people) and never forgoes an opportunity to entertain, at times she wants to be alone, digging in some old ruin or quietly studying some lore in a library.

 

Background

Lumobella (Bella for short) was born into a family of merchants in Absalom.  Her childhood was quite unremarkable in the big city where there was a large dwarven community. Her parents traded with the 5 King Mountains and she could accompany them on trips while she was still very young, which she loved to do.  And she simply loved the underground cities in the dwarven lands.  When she was old enough her parents pulled some strings and managed to get her into a lore college in the capital of the of one of the larger city states.  As one of her uncles was assistant headmaster, it wasn't all that hard.

 

She quite loved the lore and she also learned how to sing and play instruments.  And her uncle taught her to fight with a strange weapon, the Dorn-dergar (a ball on a chain that could be made longer or shorter as needed).  She was quite adept at lore and history and in her last year, she was chosen together with a fellow student, to accompany her uncle (by then the headmaster) to a neighbouring city state for a congress with other lore keepers.  It was a very exciting time for the young dwarf woman.

 

But on the way back they were attacked by some ghosts.  While they managed to defeat the undead, her uncle perished in the fight.  The two students brought his body back home, but for Bella it was a trying time.  She decided to stop the school and wander around Golarion to learn in the field instead of from books, supporting herself with her singing and playing.  As she had recieved her uncle's Dorn-dergar in his will, she took the weapon with her.

 

Upon arriving near Falcon's Hollow, she learned there were dwarven ruins nearby, so she stayed in the vicinity to find out more, while often coming back to the village to get new supplies.
