BARBARIAN CLASS ABILITIES
RageIn battle, you fight with primal ferocity. On your turn, you can enter a rage as a bonus action.

While raging, you gain the following benefits if you aren't wearing heavy armor:

You have advantage on Strength checks and Strength saving throws.
When you make a melee weapon attack using Strength, you gain a bonus to the damage roll that increases as you gain levels as a barbarian, as shown in the Rage Damage column of the Barbarian table.
You have resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage.
If you are able to cast spells, you can't cast them or concentrate on them while raging.

Your rage lasts for 1 minute. It ends early if you are knocked unconscious or if your turn ends and you haven't attacked a hostile creature since your last turn or taken damage since then. You can also end your rage on your turn as a bonus action.

Once you have raged the number of times shown for your barbarian level in the Rages column of the Barbarian table, you must finish a long rest before you can rage again.
 | Unarmored DefenseYou have a limited well of stamina that you can draw on to protect yourself from harm. On your turn, you can use a bonus action to regain hit points equal to 1d10 + your fighter level.

Once you use this feature, you must finish a short or long rest before you can use it again.
 | Danger SenseAt 2nd level, you gain an uncanny sense of when things nearby aren't as they should be, giving you an edge when you dodge away from danger. You have advantage on Dexterity saving throws against effects that you can see, such as traps and spells. To gain this benefit, you can't be blinded, deafened, or incapacitated. | Reckless AttackStarting at 2nd level, you can throw aside all concern for defense to attack with fierce desperation. When you make your first attack on your turn, you can decide to attack recklessly. Doing so gives you advantage on melee weapon attack rolls using Strength during this turn, but attack rolls against you have advantage until your next turn.Primal Path - BeastBarbarians who walk the Path of the Beast draw their rage from a bestial spark burning within their souls. That beast bursts forth in the throes of rage, physically transforming the barbarian.

Such a barbarian might be inhabited by a primal spirit or be descended from shape-shifters. You can choose the origin of your feral might or determine it by rolling on the Origin of the Beast table.
Primal Knowledge (Optional)When you reach 3rd level and again at 10th level, you gain proficiency in one skill of your choice from the list of skills available to barbarians at 1st level.Form of the BeastStarting when you choose this path at 3rd level, when you enter your rage, you can transform, revealing the bestial power within you. Until the rage ends, you manifest a natural weapon. It counts as a simple melee weapon for you, and you add your Strength modifier to the attack and damage rolls when you attack with it, as normal.

You choose the weapon’s form each time you rage:

Bite. Your mouth transforms into a bestial muzzle or great mandibles (your choice). It deals 1d8 piercing damage on a hit. Once on each of your turns when you damage a creature with this bite, you regain a number of hit points equal to your proficiency bonus, provided you have less than half your hit points when you hit.

Claws. Each of your hands transforms into a claw, which you can use as a weapon if it’s empty. It deals 1d6 slashing damage on a hit. Once on each of your turns when you attack with a claw using the Attack action, you can make one additional claw attack as part of the same action.

Tail. You grow a lashing, spiny tail, which deals 1d8 piercing damage on a hit and has the reach property. If a creature you can see within 10 feet of you hits you with an attack roll, you can use your reaction to swipe your tail and roll a d8, applying a bonus to your AC equal to the number rolled, potentially causing the attack to miss you.

RACIAL TRAITS
Ability Score IncreaseWhen determining your character’s ability scores, increase one score by 2 and increase a different score by 1, or increase three different scores by 1. You can't raise any of your scores above 20. | DarkvisionYou can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You discern colors in that darkness only as shades of gray. | Shifting As a bonus action, you can assume a more bestial appearance. This transformation lasts for 1 minute, until you die, or until you revert to your normal appearance as a bonus action. When you shift, you gain temporary hit points equal to 2 x your proficiency bonus. You can shift a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Whenever you shift, you gain an additional benefit based on one of the following options (choose when you select this race):

Wildhunt. While shifted, you have advantage on Wisdom checks, and no creature within 30 feet of you can make an attack roll with advantage against you unless you’re incapacitated.

Theron looks almost as a regular human, aside from eyes. His eyes have an unusual deep yellow colour, a reminder of his parents, and thats probably the only noticeable feature that catches into eye. Other than that, he can equally be considered as warrior, mercenary or far traveller. A rather intimidating height and physical fitness of his body making people think that he is formidable warrior, and its partially true. However there is something underwordly, bestial in his look thats barely noticeable, although may cause unnecessary thoughts about him. Also due to his nature, he is completely unpredictable and difficult to understand sometimes, not because Theron wants it, rather because his other, bestial nature is quite difficult to understand, and thats affects his human appearance as well. His rough goatee beard and long dark brown hear that adds some bit of wildness into his appearance. Theros is quite fierce, loyal and pretty friendly despite the fact that sometimes his thoughts is hard to understand.

However, his friendliness and desire towards being useful sometimes lead him to being harmed, both physically and morally. The most notable scar he have can be easily seen when his torso is open, a scar from a sword of a person who was once a greatest and loyal friend, but after the turn of certain events  betrayed Theron purely out of fear and inacceptance towards his bestial appearance. That grievous wound serves him as a reminder that some people will never understand him properly.

Since birth, Theros had one secret, that wasnt allowed him to being truly honest to someone, but thats rather because he is tired being disappointed in people. Theros himself is very like shifting towards his bestial form, or rather between his forms, doing various activities in which his human form would been inefficient. For the same reason, when he is playing "normal human" without ability to use his forms, he feels being handicapped. His whole being is meant to cooperate between his human side and beast side, so he seeks balance between being human and being beast likewise, and enjoys being himself as it is.

Due to being a child of two shapeshifters, Theros inherited traits from parents lion and bear beasts, and was given his own wolf beast, which ended up mixed into single creature with fluid form. Usually, his beast looks like quadripedal animal with big muscular body, black long hair and glowing yellow eyes, pointy ears, prolonged head and barbed tail, but all other features is fluctuating between various states, as if the creature cant decide which appearance to take, or either its missing some important part to become a single animal, so it looks incredibly fluid, but natural, unlike chimeras, for example. Even it this form Theros is quite intelligent, although others consider him rather dangerous looking. The wild animals, especially predators, on the other side see him as some sort of wierd cousin, so they often dont mind to help the beast with something like hunt or even accepting him into their pack.

Sometimes, beast looks like huge black lion-like feline, with strong spine and long barbed tail, which Theros uses effectively as some sort of long whip for self defence or for hunting birds that he is unable to catch otherwise.

When necessary, bestial appearance of Theros could be looking more like a huge long-haired wolf, with long teeths and powerful bite, which strong enough to grab the prey and finish it with follow up bites, if necessary, which is perfect form to track the running prey or hunt with the pack of dire wolves.

And his last noticeable form resemble a bear, a massive muscular body with strong paws, which ends with huge sharp claws, which can tear the tough prey apart.

Also, Theros can simply reveal his beast partially, when he still need a properties of human body, but strength of beast, which allowing him to make poweful and clear blows, identify some scent, or track down the footprints.

Theros trying to avoid being revealed as a beast, probably attempting to hide his night activities in beast form, so he will try to find and excuse like night watch or something to not look suspicious, because he is very afraid to lost trust from other people.

BACKSTORY

This story started from two persons from other sides of the world, yet the ones who was destined to fall in love one for each other. Thessa Gataki was a wandering warrior, and travelled far and wide from one city to another not only because she had a missions, but also because of the fact that she was blessed by Amus, which given her ability to shapeshift into a huge lioness, which in result maked her incredibly strong as a warrior, although made her life together with regular humans a bit complicated. She was quite pride of her strength and would never accepted anyone who was weaker than her as a lover, plus her feral nature made her a lone wanderer. While she was walking through the streets of Skiero, she occasionally bumped into a man named Hasapis Baros, and while she was offended by him and started a fight, she noticed that this man is matching or even outmatching her in strength. Hasapis on the other hand was a local hero which inherited his bear strength and form from his father. Soon they married, without any idea about their powers, because both decided to hide their bestial part for sake of their love.

Soon, Thessa gave birth to a child, and they decided to name him name Theron. In the very young age, he was just like any other child, however when he grew older, he revealed that is able to shapeshift too, but his beast was inherited the traits and forms of their parents while also having its own. When he told his parents about that, that was a shocking truth for both Thessa and Hasapis,  but later they decided that they both will train Theron so he will not turn into feral animal.

So, while studying in school as regular person during day, at nights parents educating him how to handle his beast within, how to hunt and how to use this unusual power.

Additionally, Thessa insisted upon weapon masteries as well, to make him a formidable warrior just like herself. So after some time Theros grew up into a good warrior and started to do various missions on his own. During one of this missions, he met a Cirillo, a very bright and chatty swordsman, which soon became his friend. After some missions spent together, Theron decided to reveal his secret to his friend. At first glance nothing was happened, but slowly Cirillo became jealous of his powers. He was afraid that he is much weaker than Theros, and started to doubt about him and being more and more paranoid, slowly preparing a plan to kill him. So he waited enough till they rest together in woods, and when Theros was asleep, he stabbed him into chest, aiming for the heart, but missed. Theros was infuriated by this betrayal, although he didnt killed Cirillo but simply shapeshifted and ran away with deep roar of frustration and despair.

Since then, he became much colder with other people, although he is still looking for someone to rely on, however he will think carefully about a chance of being betrayed again. He eventially found his reveal in company of animals, which at least dont see him only as a threat. Since then he is having a double life, trying to avoid collisions between his human and beast worlds, because he value both and cannot belong to one world.

Hm, regarding magic items. Since i still have no idea of what to buy, is that ok idea to buy awakened pot in form of magic shrub pet? Im fine to give up some equipment for this since i have no idea how much this might even cost, because i thought that barking blueberry bush might be cool enough to consider to guard character belongings.

Something like this

00341-3494064694-awakenedblueberryshrubpet.png.0e2f2e605a90d60f0e06727a9aafada1.png

Alternatively, i can also consider Mystery Key or couple, or Illuminator's Tattoo.

Edit: due to free item update, i then pick Awakening pot as common item and probably either some cheaper version of Bag of holding or Eldritch Claw Tattoo. If thats way too expensive, im totally fine with commons i mentioned before + probably Candle of the Deep.

Hey there! Sorry, I missed the edit.

Bags of holding and their kin I've restricted for now but the Eldritch Claw Tattoo is approved!

Ok, thanks! I think i just buy another water flask and couple of candles and similar stuff for pet, because it doesnt have dark vision and i think that using torch is much more dangerous for shrub considering potential fiery death from big fire vs small fire.

Here is pet shrub backstory:

Blaebbert

Appearance

00341-3494064694-awakenedblueberryshrubpet.png.0e2f2e605a90d60f0e06727a9aafada1.png

A cute looking bushy creature. He is having a nearly round, leafy body with short stumpy root legs. Originally bush from which Blaebbert was created had a ball form and light blue leaf colour with edible berries which tastes nearly as the same as blueberries, so Blaebbert inherited all this properties, although changed his appearance to resemble a quadripedal animal. However, when required, he can mimic the berry bush entirely, and in this form he is indistinguishable from a regular, albeit a bit wierd looking bush.

Backstory

Theros occasionally found this wierd shrub in the forest, and decided to collect it to show to someone. So, when alchemist investigated the unknown plant, he said to Theros that its just a regular berry bush without any outstanding properties or features, although alchemist advised him to try to make it awakened, because a wierd looking magical pet could have some potential market value. So Theros decided to buy a special pot to awaken the shrub to give it intelligence. He regularly taking care about bush, and after some days, a wierd creature shaped out of the bush. Theros didnt expected it would be as intelligent as average person, so yesterday bush, which next day were talking fluently in Sylvan confused him for a while. Later, instead of selling it, Theros decided to keep this creature as pet, naming him Blaebbert. His talkative nature, friendliness and devotion to his owner made him a real friend to Theros, one of the few who is rather accepted him as it is, however same goes for Theros as well. Since then Blaebbert travelling on top of the Theros backpack, serving as companion, friend, protector of his belongings, and even scribe sometimes.

Edit: Added some adventuring items. I have no idea if the magnifying glass will have any use, but at the very least Blaebbert can use it to read some books or write, i think.
