If want to spend time going over the contact you signed with captain can use downtime here for that.

 

Check k business law or k contract. In order to find something hidden or u clear need to beat the one who wrote.

 

The one clause that he has already pointed out was the 5 year contract is only time ship is actively able to fly in space. If you ever crash land the time where ship cant fly is not counted.

While no one has shown interest in examining the contracts you all signed i thought i put this up incase anyone wants to assign down time to this
. I will also post the parts that are clear here.

Writer makes 1 primary skill check per hidden clause. Using the same skill more than once gives you a -5 to your check; it’s hard to sneak in more than one.

For each primary check, Theo make make up to 4 secondary skill checks at DC 20; each adds +2 to the total. Using the same skill more than once gives you a -5 to your check.

Writer may use a VERY relevant feat or class ability (such as Master of Law) in place of a secondary skill check. A VERY relevant background can definitely help too.

PRIMARY: Bluff, Craft (writing), Innuendo, Intrigue, Know, Knowledge (business), Knowledge (interstellar law), Knowledge (law), Knowledge (trade & commerce), Profession (lawyer)

SECONDARY: Broker, Culture, Diplomacy, Forgery, Knowledge (arcana), Knowledge (arcane lore), Knowledge (bureaucracy), Knowledge (history), Knowledge (mysticism), Knowledge (occult), Negotiate, Persuasion, Profession (law enforcement), Profession (linguist), Profession (trader), Research, Spellcraft, Trader, Xeno-Cultures

The opposition does the exact same thing: 1 primary check per hidden clause. The party can do a check as a group or as individuals, but the limits on using the same skill multiple times still applies.

PRIMARY: Decipher Script, Innuendo, Intrigue, Know, Knowledge (business), Knowledge (interstellar law), Knowledge (law), Knowledge (trade & commerce), Profession (lawyer), Research, Sense Motive. A specific racial knowledge pertaining to Devils would also work.

SECONDARY: Broker, Culture, Knowledge (arcana), Knowledge (arcane lore), Knowledge (bureaucracy), Knowledge (conspiracy theory), Knowledge (history), Knowledge (mysticism), Knowledge (occult), Profession (law enforcement), Profession (linguist), Profession (trader), Spellcraft, Spot, Trader, Xeno-Cultures

Part I: Indro

This part of the contract states who the parties are involved naming TV owner of the Wandering Soul as the issuer(named as Captain from here on out) and crew member (named as crew from here on out.

It defines some terms but its very detailed and you need to spend time to clearly understand it but the 3 core terms are:
Living
Dying
Body

Part II : The agreement

This part goes over what the Captain offers to signing on for 5 years which is following:
Basic needs to live (food water air shelter ect)
At end of 5 years of service each crew member can request something of the captain which he has to give if within his power other than the ship itself.

Part III: The requirements

This part goes into the duties of the crew when they sign on:
Follow Captains orders without question when it comes to the safety of other crew, the ship, or any agreed mission they are on.
Maintain the ship regardless if Captain is on it.
Put at least 10% of all profits made from use of ship toward upgrading and repairing ship.
Sign on for 5 years.

Part IV: Ending the contract

 

This goes into how the contract is broken before the time is up. There is no nothing clear about it will have to study to understand this section.

 

Last part is the drop of blood and signing of the name of crew agreeing
