Malkavian Grin Posted May 6, 2023 Clone Share Posted May 6, 2023 I just recently took my game forum out of Private and shared it with some folks that expressed interest. I need to send an invite but I was in the wrong "mode." So I went to change it. I had thought it was set to Open, but I checked and it says Public. So I changed it to Open and hit save. There was still no option to invite. So I went back and did it again. Same thing. So I tried to set it to Closed and changed the option at the bottom to game-members. Same thing. I even tried to clear the advertising date and it won't take. I don't know why, but the forum refuses to save any changes. Eric Posted May 6, 2023 Clone Share Posted May 6, 2023 If you have an advertising date set, that will override game privacy settings for the situation of the advertising period.
Malkavian Grin Posted May 6, 2023 Author Clone Share Posted May 6, 2023 I see. I tried clearing it out but it wouldn't stay cleared. I'll try again.

Malkavian Grin Posted May 7, 2023 Author Clone Share Posted May 7, 2023 I got around the issue by setting it to yesterday's date. But for some reason it won't accept "none" whereas before it starts with "none". Thanks for your hard work, Eric.
Eric Posted May 7, 2023 Clone Share Posted May 7, 2023 I will definitely look into that!
Eric Posted May 15, 2023 Clone Share Posted May 15, 2023 Current workaround now sets the date to 1/1/1970 (epoch time) if the GM clears the Advertising date field, which functionally works. Next iteration will actually show a blank value after it's cleared.
Malkavian Grin Posted May 19, 2023 Author Clone Share Posted May 19, 2023 Works for me. Thanks for getting to this.
