Just one of those things that happens by virtue of allowing as much variation as the editors do. Inevitably something doesn't play nice together, like stripes and plaid. It also will be much easier to hard set font colors once the color picker has been fixed to allow hex colors to be entered again. Going into the source all the time is a pain.
