GleefulNihilism Posted September 5, 2023 Clone Share Posted September 5, 2023 Yeah, that works. So I roll a Moves to negate? What happens when a stat hits Zero? Name xDiceName xDiceResult xDiceString xDiceRolls
mykesfree Posted September 5, 2023 Author Clone Share Posted September 5, 2023 Glad the link worked. When a Stat hits Zero then you roll 0 dice for that stat, however, you can move the damage points around to your other stats. If all your stats are zero then you are knocked out. Also, you can spend 9 brownie points to avoid the damage. Name xDiceName xDiceResult xDiceString xDiceRolls
mykesfree Posted September 5, 2023 Author Clone Share Posted September 5, 2023 @GleefulNihilism Did Kev make a Cool roll to see if he can ward off the Imps curse? Otherwise, his proton pack is going to animate and fly off his back. Also is Kev going to spend 9 Brownie points to avoid the damage to his Cool Score? GleefulNihilism Posted September 5, 2023 Clone Share Posted September 5, 2023 Bit confused on how it costs 9, but leaning against. Apologies, thought the curse was only hitting specs. Name xDiceName xDiceResult xDiceString xDiceRolls
Malkavian Grin Posted September 6, 2023 Clone Share Posted September 6, 2023 Sorry everyone. I had meant to post days ago but I got super sick over the holiday weekend and then spent a day and a half in bed. I'm only of sound mind enough today to sit down and post. I'm sorry if I held up the game any, and understand if any of my stuff was skipped. I'll go catch up on the IC right now. mykesfree Posted September 6, 2023 Author Clone Share Posted September 6, 2023 @Malkavian Grin No problem and you were correct on your rules assumtions. @GleefulNihilism You are correct, about the brownie point spend to avoid. It is too much. It should be 5 points. Ok, now the imps turn. And then back to either Kev or Jin. Malkavian Grin Posted September 7, 2023 Clone Share Posted September 7, 2023 Okay, so I take the 2 points of Brains damage. How does that (or taking damage in general) affect the part of Medical History on our sheets? Am I now in the Hurt area and take -2 on all rolls? Or am I Hurt because I took a total of -2? I'm just confused. Name xDiceName xDiceResult xDiceString xDiceRolls
mykesfree Posted September 7, 2023 Author Clone Share Posted September 7, 2023 Yes Specs is now Hurt and takes -2 to their traits. It can be any combo of traits, as long as it -2 points. Also, Specs can spend 2 Brownie Points to avoid the damage. The chart is on page 36. Name xDiceName xDiceResult xDiceString xDiceRolls
Malkavian Grin Posted September 7, 2023 Clone Share Posted September 7, 2023 Okay, I just wasn't sure if that was the same thing as what you were saying, or in addition to. I think I'm getting it now. Hmm... 2 points doesn't seem too harsh... We get Brownie Points at the end of a "mission" or whatever, right? What's it take for our Traits to reset? mykesfree Posted September 7, 2023 Author Clone Share Posted September 7, 2023 Brownie points are pretty straightforward, they are on page 35 of the rule book. Basically on die rolls, for each point you spend you add a D6. You can spend points to avoid damage or something bad happening. You can permanently lower 1 trait point to gain 20 points. At the end of the adventure, depending on how well you did, you get them all back, plus extra. Malkavian Grin Posted September 7, 2023 Clone Share Posted September 7, 2023 Hmmm interesting. It almost sounds like having a big pool of them could make you able to take a huge amount of punishment. -1 trait sucks but 40 points of "stuff" sounds pretty good!
