Each of the four attributes have a rating going - Below Average, Average, Superior, Paragon and then number from 1+.

 

• If a suitable attribute is better than your opponent you beat them, being it a debate, battle of wills or a sparing match.
• If your equally matched things will be a draw. You can either try to last them out (either mentally with Psyche or physically with Keep-fit) or you do something clever to break the stalemate.
• If they're better they will win, unless you do something clever or outlast them. Or even just run away!

"Rounds"

Basically to keep things manageable we'll be doing things by rounds. Basically all player characters will get a chance to act, then any NPCs call react back to that, rinse and repeat. A round isn't a set value though, unlike other games, and last exactly as long as it needs to be!
