The return to Erilune is marked by a somberness. With Airmed absent from Eabha, Toktok, and Clara the air seems somehow more biting. Otto, once a veritable golem, now moves along unarmored - Michael helping to bear his burden.

Elderglen gives little cheer. Though you believe you may have accomplished something of note, it is hard to point to anything in particular and say, "We solved this problem." With Eabha herself so afflicted, what may have been a joyous return with feasting and tale-telling is marked instead by a dismal rain and closed doors. Nothing you could do would have brought the missing back. It is only Doctor Fell who watches you closely as you pass through - saying nothing. Her mask, a mark of safety, bears a sinister air knowing her truth. And do the people look just a little more gaunt, or is it a figment of your imagination?

Still, you pass on and through the village unmolested. Indeed, the return to Erilune is marked by a lack of hostility - however so to does it lack friendship. The road is empty.

Weather and morale working against you, it takes a week and a half to make the city. However, you have your first piece of good news: Eabha, though without Airmed, is familiar enough with the disease to know that it has not progressed in her. It is difficult to know why, but each may have their own suspicions. Instead of spending valuable silver on a hospital for her, instead it can be put towards making offerings to Airmed and have Otto make a new suit of armor.

To that point, the artifacts you have retrieved are well received by the academic who sent you north in the first place. In addition to the 1000 silver he pays for the witch's staff, so too does he pay another 500 total for the orbs - while they are damaged, they clearly at one point held some power which is worth studying.

So too with some research do you find that the journal of Dr. Crane is related to the Erilune Arachnid Research Syndicate. While they are sad to hear his body was unrecoverable, the journal itself was worth a fortune to them - a total of 2000 silver was granted to show their appreciation.

Thus you find yourselves able to rest, recover, and seek comfort in Erilune. A dangerous adventure is past, and perhaps more will lurk in the future. However, for now, you can rest comfortable but for one question that nags at each of you which Clara voices: "What will become of the people of Elderglen?"
