matt_s Posted August 26, 2023 Clone Share Posted August 26, 2023 This is kind of a weird glitch. Firefox 116.0.3, Windows 11. If I go to a game thread with my window set to partial screen width (not maximized and not "locked" to the side of the screen) I get this glitch where my username and icon show up twice. If I maximize the window or "snap" the window to the side using WINDOWS + <left arrow> it behaves normally e.g. one set of icon/name.
Eric Posted August 26, 2023 Clone Share Posted August 26, 2023 I need a link and specific dimensions to retest. Does it go away if you refresh in the smaller window size?
matt_s Posted August 26, 2023 Author Clone Share Posted August 26, 2023 i can replicate it on this thread and i think every thread i have tried. It persists on refresh. On firefox it behaves as in my first comment. I checked on chrome 116.0.5845.111 and it creates the double effect when I snap to left or right but not when i resize the window manually or maximize the browser window. It persists on refresh. This is in the "at most mildly annoying column" so no worries. As I write this I am no longer able to reproduce on firefox but the chrome issue is still around. Unless you somehow ninja-fixed the firefox issue i have no idea what happened with that.
Eric Posted August 26, 2023 Clone Share Posted August 26, 2023 I'm wondering if there is something weird with Windows 11, actually 😀
matt_s Posted August 26, 2023 Author Clone Share Posted August 26, 2023 I'm on windows 11 home, version 22H2, build 22621.2215 if that makes a difference.
Neopopulas Posted August 27, 2023 Clone Share Posted August 27, 2023 Just as an update, i just tested it on this thread in firefox 116.0.3 (on windows 10) and I can't replicate it. I tried sizes from 1700x1000 to 450x1000 to 1900x1000 to 450x450. Seems like it might be a windows 11 specific issue.
