The Eyeball Kid Posted August 27, 2023 Author Clone Share Posted August 27, 2023 Well, the 16 is nice, and I was thinking wizard or elf.... Name xDiceName xDiceResult xDiceString xDiceRolls
Eric Posted August 27, 2023 Clone Share Posted August 27, 2023 Excellent. As the rules indicate, you can swap that 16 STR for the 6 INT as a wizard or elf. Name xDiceName xDiceResult xDiceString xDiceRolls
The Eyeball Kid Posted August 27, 2023 Author Clone Share Posted August 27, 2023 (edited) @Eric Are there encumbrance rules or strength minimums for armor? An elf might make me a bit more survivable (although no proficiency bonus and slower progression...) and give a few more abilities, but if I can't actually wear armor due to having a 4 strength, it's less useful. Eric Posted August 27, 2023 Clone Share Posted August 27, 2023 With the Basic set rules, the only effect of encumbrance is on movement rate. As an Elf you may use any armor and still cast spells. The Eyeball Kid Posted September 7, 2023 Author Clone Share Posted September 7, 2023 @Eric Thanks for checking in and the opportunity to apply. I just got into a couple more games and am thinking of starting one of my own, so I think I am going to bow out here. Have fun with the game though!
