I'm not really sure what I want to be yet, so I might just do a bunch of rolls for both a nightbane and a superhero and see what strikes my fancy. Or maybe just be a martial artist.

...and by Spd I meant PB, because apparently I forgot how many attributes there are and only rolled for 7 of them instead of 8.

So if I'm understanding the creation rules correctly that gives me starting values of 13, 15, 14, 14, 13, 13, 14, 15. Nothing exceptional, but pretty good all round.

Using PU3 I'll choose to have one offensive major and minor power, and one offensive minor power, and roll on the relevant tables.

Offensive Minor Power Swing Line

Offensive Major Power APS...

APS Roll Techno-Form? That doesn't feel very steampunk, although I guess its powers could be refluffed except the Vehicle Form.

Defensive Major Power APS again, which can't be used at the same time as the one I already have, so if allowed I'll reroll.

Educational Level Military, that seems thematic.
Basic Military Program at +10% (HtH: Basic, Running, Climbing, Military Etiquette, Basic Radio, WP Rifle)

That statement is already in the build rules: "If you need a certain attribute for an occ, you can roll as many sets of attributes as you need to get an ability score array that will allow you to meet the requirements of that occ." Did you see that if you're trying to qualify for something, or is it an issue that the values in general aren't very good?

I'm open to everyone rolling a few times to get a set they're happy with -- I just wanted to write some clear rules down to get started. If you want to roll like 5-6 more times to get a character, I don't really mind. I'm happy to change the rolling rules if it will make everyone happier. I do want to have some clear rules so it's not burdensome to everyone and they're wondering 'how many times should I roll?' Let me just update the build rules and start w/ 6 sets so everyone is on the same page. I think that should probably give everyone reasonable stats -- what do you think?

now that I've messed around with this a bit, I realize this is a really powerful dice rolling set up, and I like it.

I think the issue they were more concerned with was randomly rolling a chicken as their race.

I was assuming we could choose our own race if desired, I just rolled for mine out of idle curiosity to see if anything would inspire me (and they didn't. I don't really want to be a parrot or a very lost kangaroo.)
