Farm Boy HP: 10/13 || FP: 6/13 Conditions/Effects: Attacking! (+1 Haste) Hank flinches as the magic bolt flies at him! "Hey! That wasn't very nice!" Hank brings his sword down on the cultist in a mighty blow! Hank dodges the magic bolt. Dodge-10+1 for Harolde's Haste Hank swings his sword down at the cultist.

: Beneath the abandoned bathhouse, Foreign Quarter, City and Domain of Greyhawk : Moonday, Third of (festival week) Time: around 6:00pm Weather: who knows, you're underground Sunrise/set: just before 6am/ just after 6pm Characters Present: Emily, Fili, Hank, Harolde, and Richard Hank stands over the downed cultist, smiling, but the chanting villain quickly rolls over and thrusts one arm out in Hank's direction. A glowing chunk of rock streaks out directly at Hank's face! Elsewhere on the floor, the giant snake that ate the crossbowman off the far ledge drops back down to the floor, sweeping its large head back and forth, scanning the room. Another giant stone snake streaks off to the north, chasing and consuming another fleeing crossbowman near the northeastern entrance to the chamber. The snake that had been eyeing Emily, quickly slithers up the side of the ledge, springs into the air as if coming up to strike at her, then dips and somehow burrows into the face of the ledge just below her feet. The rocky ground beneath her is violently disturbed, nearly knocking her off her feet. The snake disappears into the ground and based on the trail it leaves on the surface, it seems like it is leaving the chamber via the tunnel the group entered from. Fili, having no further foes on the stairs, witnesses this giant stone snake leap right in front of her as it leaves the area. Richard and Harolde continue checking the pockets of some downed cultists. OOC Hank can make a defense then PCs can make their moves. HP: 10/11 FP: 6/11 Conditions: Feeling a bit more confident after the snakes fail to connect, Fili resumes her offensive. Things are looking bad down below, and she'd better get down there before it gets any worse! The snake-armed cultist tries to parry the incoming blow, but fails. Fili's staff hits him hard in the side. She hears and feels his ribs crack beneath her blow as he falls to the stone stairs, unconscious though his snake arms still hiss and slither from side to side. Farm Boy HP: 10/13 || FP: 6/13 Conditions/Effects: Attacking! (+1 Haste) Eyeing the last cultist, Hank says, "Richard! Let's get that guy!" Hank charges the cultist, striving to disrupt the fiend's ritual casting. Hank's powerful blow sends the chanting cultist flying, knocking him off his feet and crashing into the ring of stone he had been ritualizing before. Hank charges. : Beneath the abandoned bathhouse, Foreign Quarter, City and Domain of Greyhawk : Moonday, Third of (festival week) Time: around 6:00pm Weather: who knows, you're underground Sunrise/set: just before 6am/ just after 6pm Characters Present: Emily, Fili, Hank, Harolde, and Richard Harolde starts rummaging through the unconscious cultist's pockets. Alvan stoops to help him. The remaining active cultist on the stairs tries to bite Fili again with his snake arms, but misses. Down on the floor, the cult leader passes out after being hit by Richard's tail. The large stone snake that Emily has been peppering with bolts rears back and then strikes out in her direction, moving across the floor toward the ledge. The 2nd stone snake turns and strikes at a crossbowman standing on the ledge near him, capturing the poor thug in its maw the swallowing quickly. Another cultist on the floor completes his ritual, turning yet another giant stone circle into the stony scales of a giant snake. It in turn consumes the summoning cultist. Piddles flies down and tries to snatch up the glowing red stone that appears to be the focus of the ritual, but is zapped with a red bolt of energy for his trouble, sending a cloud of feathers and squawks into the air. The last remaining cultist just past where Hank and Richard are continues his ritual as quickly as possible. OOC All PCs can make their moves. Richard HP: 1/10 || FP: 6/10 Conditions/Effects: None Richard saw Hank barrel down the cult leader and leapt at the opportunity to take advantage of the situation. Rushing forward Richard attempted to perform another backstab at the downed enemy... The downed cult leader tries to avoid Richard's tail strike, but is unable to. Richards tail hits him solidly in the chest, knocking the man unconscious! OOC: Richard moves forward 1/4 his movement to enter close combat with the cult leader and stabs him with his tail. Farm Boy HP: 10/13 || FP: 6/13 Conditions/Effects: Attacking! (+1 Haste) Hank's blue eyes widen as he sees the darkbolt coming towards him. Can't get hit! Gotta help Richard! Without breaking stride, Hank avoids the priest's foul magic! Realizing that the priest is a threat to him and Richard, he lowers his head, and, with a roar, charges the evil dude, slamming into him! The cult leader tries to sidestep Hank, but misjudges the big guy's speed. Hank smashes into him, slamming him into the snake-rock behind him. The cult leader gives a surprised grunt and falls to the floor. As it does this, Hank sees a strange, ghostly form of a snake fly up out of the person's body and streak toward the ceiling. Looking back down at the downed cultist, he doesn't seem to look as formidable as he did just mere moments ago. Hank Dodges. Critically. GM NOTE: GM edited results directly into this post.

: Beneath the abandoned bathhouse, Foreign Quarter, City and Domain of Greyhawk : Moonday, Third of (festival week) Time: around 6:00pm Weather: who knows, you're underground Sunrise/set: just before 6am/ just after 6pm Characters Present: Emily, Fili, Hank, Harolde, and Richard On the top of the ledge, Harolde sees the crippled leg cultist make an attempt to get up, then loose consciousness and slump to the rocky floor. Fili watches the snake-armed cultist lurch forward while one of the snakes strikes, biting her on her shoulder. She feels the sting of teeth and poison! As Hank approaches Richard and the cult leader, he sees another of the stony circles magically transform into a giant snake! It too strikes down and consumes the cultist that had been summoning it. The cult leader turns and sends a bolt of dark, magical energy in Hank's direction. It looks to be right on target! OOC Hank needs to dodge the on target magic bolt. Fili is bitten by the snake arms. She takes 1HP from the bite and 3 from the poison, but a successful HT roll will cut that in half (to 1HP from the poison) After that, all PCs can make their moves. Richard HP: 1/10 || FP: 6/10 Conditions/Effects: None "Told you. You're still missing the control stone." Richard announced as the rock snake turned on the cultist. Richard attempted to dodge the polearm with another impressive flip but doesn't do so well this time, but with a Last Ditch display of effort manages to once again narrowly avoid disaster. OOC: Richard first makes an Acrobatics Check to do an Acrobatic DodgeIf you have put at least one point into the Acrobatics skill, you can try a “fancy” dodge once during your turn. You may define this as jumping over a sword blow, cartwheeling away, or whatever else you like. Make an Acrobatics roll before you attempt your Dodge roll. (If flying, roll against Aerobatics instead.) On a success, you get +2 to that Dodge roll. On a failure, you get -2.. He will spend 1 FP with Last Ditch DefenseAfter a failed roll, you may spend FP on a 1:1 basis to make the defense a success. to bring his defense roll to a success, and he will take another All-Out-Defense Maneuver on his next turn.

Farm Boy HP: 10/13 || FP: 6/13 Conditions/Effects: Attacking! (+1 Haste) Hank continues down the stairs, hopping to the floor of the chamber. He gulps as he gets a better look at the giant snake, cultist still hanging from it's mouth. "Hang on, Richard! I'm coming!" Once he hits the floor, he'll rush to Richard's side.

Emily In light of the giant person eating snake, Emily shouts once more. Giant snake is eating you guys. Can we please stop fighting? Emily tries to line up a shot on the big snake and fires (at the snake) if she can. The bolt flies out and hits the snake. Its head swivels around and it gazes up at Emily on the ledge above. HP: 10/11 FP: 6/11 Conditions: Wary of the creepy, writhing snakes, Fili strikes the man with the end of her staff and keeps her distance. If she gets poisoned, she's not gonna be of use to anyone. Besides, that's durn creepy. The snake-armed cultist tries to dodge the blow, but Fili's staff strikes him hard, causing him to reel from the pain. : Beneath the abandoned bathhouse, Foreign Quarter, City and Domain of Greyhawk : Moonday, Third of (festival week) Time: around 6:00pm Weather: who knows, you're underground Sunrise/set: just before 6am/ just after 6pm Characters Present: Emily, Fili, Hank, Harolde, and Richard Emily steps up to the edge of the upper ledge and spies another crossbowman on a ledge about 30 yards away while Hank rushes down the zig-zag stairs, making it almost to the first turn. The cultist with the crippled leg leaning against the wall slumps over, unconscious. The remaining cultist on the stairs steps back, trying to block Fili from passing. As he does so, he speaks some words and suddenly both of his arms transform into thick, writhing serpents that sway hypnotically, flicking their forked tongues and showing their long, thin fangs. Down on the floor, the cult leader again strikes at Richard with his skillfully wielded halberd! More importantly, the stone ring at the southern end of the room surges with a dark red flash then starts to move, revealing a huge stone snake emerging from the stony floor, similar to the one from the watery passage earlier, but about 10 times larger. The cultist that had been ritualizing near it raises his arms in triumph just as the huge snake strikes down at him, swallowing him whole. OOC All PCs can make their moves. Richard HP: 1/10 || FP: 7/10 Conditions/Effects: None Low on health with his invisibility on cooldown and surrounded by enemies who would likely be able to get a much clearer shot on him if he moved anywhere, Richard decided that staying right were he was an keeping the leader occupied was pretty much the only thing he could do. "Swing and a miss! Are you really the one in charge here? Normally cult leaders are people with at least a modicum of skill." Richard called out, trying to antagonize him further. OOC: Richard takes the All-Out-Defense Maneuver, adding +2 to his dodge until his next turn.

Farm Boy HP: 10/13 || FP: 5/13 Conditions/Effects: Attacking! (+1 Haste) Hank sees Fili down the cultist, then turn and give him a look. He stares back for a moment. Oh, right! Move your ass, big fellah! He charges down the stairs! He lays a huge hand on the edge of the steps and hops down, trying to get to where he can help his friend Richard. Hank's Move is currently 8 due to Harolde's Haste spell.

HP: 10/11 FP: 5/11 Conditions: Fili steps forward to hit the badly injured cultist with the long end of her staff. He's the one blocking the stairs, and maybe, just maybe, if she can knock him down for good, Hank can get by the other one run down the stairs. The cultist tries to defend, but Fili's strike is true, forcing him back and knocking him unconscious. Hank has a clear path down the stairs! OOC: This map is a bit hard to see, but I think the one in the middle of the staircase with an injury mark on him is Cultist 1. Fili steps one space towards Cultist 1 and swings at Reach 2.
