Matilde, you're a powerhouse! Syhlas, watch out to your left!" The commander does his best to motivate his companions, but also notify them of incoming slashes, jabs, and snapping jaws. As he does so, he lets loose an arrow, hoping to finally show his own capabilities, before firing another at the opponent.   6. Zalven does have a decent chance of success with extraordinary feats of dexterity, so having bonuses around stealth certainly would not go amiss.

Whether it's his military training or his elven reflexes, he avoids taking any damage, the fire blazing behind him as a sly grin crosses his face. You always did have a knack for the unexpected, but it doesn't work so well against someone trained to expect the unexpected! Baldric has already said Voz's name correctly several times while they were planning their approach, so it seems unlikely for him to slip up now. But given his eccentricities, and how little they actually know about him, it's hard to say for certain what angle he's going for... or if he's speaking genuinely. "These fine folks are exemplars of their craft, so I wouldn't underestimate them. Solid, stalwart, steady... if I were you, whip-smart and a right firecracker, I'd just go along with them. Once everything calms down, the energy suffusing Aquila fades. "Looks like the children have scattered, and all we've got left are a couple of Lamm's underlings." OOC & Actions Out of combat, Aquila will use Ocean's Balm to heal those mentioned above, as applicable. It's not much healing and can only be done once every 10 minutes on each person, so unless we want to spend a long time here, which seems unwise, someone should follow up with some additional medicine checks to treat wounds.

  10. 4E games are so very rare... It would be hard for me not to try and whip something up for this...
  11. Honestly, It's been a minute since I've played a full-on wizard type. Martial types can pick armor and weapons more easily, even if there's a lot to choose between. I don't really know what's available, let alone what would work well for me. I suppose I can go scroll shopping, but I don't know much besides that (and besides, there are still only limited level 1 illusionist spells I want or can cast from spell slots).

It's clear that despite his newly-adopted serious demeanor, Baldric has trouble passing up the opportunity for a ripe pun, although he offers it with no smirk or acknowledgement thereof. Was it accidental, then? While he has been brash and exuberant, the half-elf has otherwise snapped into a tightly-focused, supportive disposition. Without knowing him better, it's impossible to tell how long that will last, or if the earlier performance was just an act. N/A
