  1. His rapier is described as unusually long and being flat it could fit in the area, he also has a dagger if he wants to use a dagger as the chisel and back of his axe as the hammer to literally break the lock or makes a small hole first to peak. Although 29 is mighty for lvl 3.
  2. Yeah, with such weapons that have a spike on the other side, it's kinda like double trouble. First getting whacked over the head with a hammer gets you woozy, to get a spike backed up by the weight of a hammer behind it smacked in one of the armor joints basically immobilizing 1/4 of you, then 1/2 of you then...

"I am well aware of it...in theory, there would be just one person with the key and we asked how many people are there so that many people we would have to search." "However, these people have been quartered in some cases which slightly enlarges the number we have to search. Then, if I were the spiteful SoB that I am I would rather swallow the key than risk it falling into the hands of prisoners especially if the weapons are that powerful. There is the possibility that the key is sailing away, one of the prisoners hoping to return when the mess is cleared up and selling weapons for a tidy profit." "None of it has to be truth and in a second someone could walk in with the key, but none of the stiffs I checked had it." He points at blood stains on his clothes "And I was thorough. I simply say that having the alternative would not kill us. Not trying to raise a fuss." 4. Well Strunt has the axe and knows about traps is there anywhere where he could hack a hole to peep inside, or the skill roll that would help him do that? If the axe is too heavy then just use either dager as a wine opener and drill an eye hole.
  5. I do like a good comparison war and would likely be at the forefront of them when the junk as Deadliest Warrior was at the peak of popularity, fortunately since then I learned that several hundred years make a difference. For that example at the height of Tercio infantry Samurai were dead and buried, and they would be fielded against the Japanese Imperial Army which incidentally did whip the Samurai. There were so many dumb comparisons like that just it sounds cool that I think the meme Ninjas VS Cowboys was born then. As for the weapons, I'd say that Lucerne and other pole weapons that had a head of the hammer on one side (some halberds and poleaxes) would be seen as effective at the time since then plate armor of various kinds came into fashion. Even if it's against just brigandine percussive force of the hammer had more chance than just a blade.

  7. Then Fang can go in the middle. Ryzia on one side, Fang, Joren, Gwain directly behind Fang, and Winter thanks to her range basically anywhere where she can peak in the room. Except if Joren has a ranged option then I don't know. He can go next to Gwain?

  10. Garth| AC 13 | Ini: 0 | PP: 12 | Hit Points: 36/36 | Size: Medium | Speed: 30 ft | Not getting any last-minute revelation from the rest of the group Garth enters with others and looks at the rough crowd, near perfect copy of one side of the conflict in the alley. In his thoughts he gives an apology to the guards, they seemed as decent enough sort. Likely not as clean as freshly washed sheets in the upper districts of Waterdeep, but again he was far from a scared tourist too. So he called it a wash. The second thought was more prayer really, one that he sees another dawn. He takes another deep breath before he pushes Glaive upward with his foot fingers to give it momentum then makes a near-perfect circle curved head colliding with a pitcher on the bar but instead of a crash, the blade neatly cuts through baked clay. Once his weapon falls into the ready state, the only proof of his mischief is a stream of wine flowing through now cut in half pitcher. Not that one could notice it once the wine stops pouring. There is momentary expecting silence that replaces the surly silence that preceded it. Garth's voice is businesslike "We couldn't reach the consensus on how to approach this so we are being direct. The redheaded idiot was kidnapped from here not long ago, as far as I heard it sparked a bit of misunderstanding between Xanathar Guild and Zentharim. Fortunately, I am just a merry mercenary looking to get paid and not interested in criminal politics. So I want the numbass, preferably alive, who provides me with the info can continue to pout. Others will serve as the second part of this trick, where I cut off the head and it stays on the shoulders." He barely noticeably shifts his balance and adjusts a grip on the Glaive. For a moment he just stands there looking at stains hoping they reveal some kind of invocation symbol before moving to checking the bodies. By the look of his face far more mundane job. From time to time he pushes some unusual brick with his sword trying to dislodge it and find...anything. Wolf just seems happy that Gwain's skin seems healthy with barely scarring anywhere and excitedly jumps between him and Winter. Meanwhile, as Ryzia takes the position he raises one finger at her to points he'll need a moment. He grabs an old, now empty, chest from the corner, by one handle and pushes it away from the corner to make more space. Then steps 10 ft North from the door (K-12) and readies the arrow clicking once to call Fang to him just waiting for Joren to decide on a starting position so he can place Fang next to him. 13. Place Gwain at K-12 and Fang at K-13 or L-13 depending on Joren. I'll make IC post where Gwain moves that chest on L-13 so that square is accessible.
  14. OK, this is a basic outline of my Archetype, I have most of the rest already in my nogging but first, check it out that fits others. As mentioned he doesn't seem as firearm kind of guy but he is not really a pacifist either and life did not go easy on him either. Go over it and if you give it the green light I'll finish up the app pretty soon. THE NOMAD "14 Miles. That's how long I would run every day. Seven in the morning and seven at dusk. 4 hours of practice in between, 2 for football 2 for MMA. 6 Hours. How long would I work on the family cornfield after school? The only reason I ever had a semblance of social life was sports. Every muscle in my body was cramping and bruised only for those 2 hours on weekends when I could go with my teammates to the discount Pizza Hut we had in our 1200 population "town" and feel like a teenager...and see her. And I was one of the privileged ones, my MMA trainer was straight with me my weight class was so stacked in even bumpkin local divisions that I had no chance there, best I could get from it was some decent body and ability to defend myself. However, the crowd from the gym was way more relaxed than the guys from football, probably because all of our aggression was left on the mats. Football, now there was my ticket out of this s*ithole and everyone knows it. That's why my pops cut me some slack on Sundays after the game. There was a buzz on the local scene about me since I was 16, considering there had been almost 30 years since our high school even got to the States and almost 50 since anyone got a scholarship it was a big deal. Now my last year and people in expensive cars began to show up to our games. Another number started ticking in my head 8 more games, 7 more games, six more games...It never reached zero, I still ran 13 miles a day, sometimes more, I still fought, only without pads, and I still worked in between only not on the cornfield. It's amazing how fast people adapt. Well, I did leave my bumhole of the town after all, small victories." 15. I'll let Joren place himself before I put Fang, Gwain will likely be one square behind Ryzia, again depending on Joren and Fang although most likely diagonally to the right so he is 10' to the North from Blue square (assumingly door).
  16. Ok. I just started. Obviously, I chose Agility as the Key Attribute and Mobility as the main skill of the chosen Archetype. Nomad kinda sounded appropriate. Before I chose talents I wanted to ask if could I choose some others from SRD or just those that are in existing archetypes. For example, Flyweight seemed like something my character would head. Also about the gear, firearms don't seem like his thing so I wondered if could I take 6 things from other archetypes give for your approval and then roll?

  18. The odd thing is since I play so much of 3.5 and PF 1, 5E is for me still a "new" edition. Until I open folder with all 5E books, just Core ones. Not counting settings, adventures, modules etc
  19. Blonde's voice gets a certain breathy quality as she twirls one of her locks "Oh such praise from someone like you." She shyly looks at her shoes. "I can assure you that I have not seen such a manly and experienced hero since I arrived here. Last week." She covers her mouth with a handful of her hair and glances toward Alexis winking at her. "I will make sure your order is delivered and when you decide about the fate of the other coins we might see each other again." She twirls and almost magically she's too far for Damien to call for her without getting up and even then he'd have to stand in line as all workers from the sawmill were milking as much of her attention as possible. She already placed 3 golden pieces in her cleavage for seemingly no work. One of the farmers actually stood up and waited so no one cut in line as apparently, one man in his mid-twenties had the intention. Damian was picking up what he heard since he came during the day, and placed man as one from a blacksmith family, thanks to the near unwashable soot under his nails, too old to be attacked child and too young to be the father which left either another son or another member of the family. There was no ring on the finger and in such a small village old trick of removing it in the bar just looked to invite trouble. What was clear was that the bartender didn't ask this one to try and milk the newcomers for nothing, second thing was that he needed to change tactics. He was fairly certain she will earn more than his "spending money" was before his dinner arrived, as fourth gold vanishes in her cleavage when she plants a kiss on Hunchbacks....well, hump to the loud hooting of his compatriots. While leaving workers, she "accidentally" ran into a Farmer who was waiting on her and spilled some of his mead, then started to vigorously clean the spot while apologizing, while poor dupe already was grabbing his pouch. Damien started to philosophize how at least 50% of this village would benefit from not procreating when their looks met and she winked at him before continuing her job...both of them The second waitress couldn't momentarily hide her surprise, obviously not expecting to get such a high tip from a girl, which marked her as the local, since if Lumina asked Damien he'd bet his last gold that the Blonde would be sitting in Alexis lap if she saw angle in such course of action. On the other hand, the second waitress smiles a bit more warmly as she continues to talk with Lumina "Alas, same as with rubies clear and clean gems are hard to find in these mountains. But they can make nicely polished figures from or even just nicely polished can fit into rings or earrings. If you can pay a bit more sometimes they bring sometimes called fake emerald since some so much look like the real stuff that counterfeiters often try to pass it for emerald, or thieves try to steal it so I would go for the one with the blueish hue so it's obvious." She looks at the gold for a second before she stores it in her cleavage, apparently a universal thing, but she leans closer to Lumina and almost whispers in her ear "I mean it is obvious you are adventurers, hopefully here to deal with that Goblins, it is just a matter of time before they kill someone. Approach them and offer to buy them a bottle of Orange Blackberry White and say Marriane sent you, it will cost you one silver but Gath, Half-Elf, and I are...friendly" Glint in the waitress's eyes say without words how friendly exactly they are. "Also only they call me by my full name, some cultural thing, here everyone calls me Mary. With that, they will answer all they can that don't endanger their village. Just don't be intimidated before you introduce yourself. They can be intense, especially purebloods."
  20. It's over someone mentioned the name "Mod" too many times 😂 Yeah we figured that, we been at it the entire day. The question is now how many pieces of ammo is affected. While the Bow stays the same would 1 bottle be able to affect 5 arrows? Since it's not GMW to affect 50 arrows.
  21. Anyone here was one of the lucky ones to get their hand on the preview of "Improved" D&D? Release day is approaching. I love how they try to massage us. "Oh don't worry, no need to spend a dime if you don't want, this is the same 5E you enjoyed so far. Reminds me of reading old interviews before the release of 3.5, 3.0 was dropped as the brick unless there wasn't 3.5 alternative. You don't publish 400 page book of "supplemental material", I kinda would respect them more if that just slapped 6 on the end of it.
  22. We can go by real d20 ruling that I ran into while I was searching, apparently, this is a common issue in d20 games. This was in the published errata for Dungeon Age, 3 projectiles per vial. So we came as close to an official ruling as possible, the game is d20, the issue is the same, only the game is different.
  23. You should see the menu when I lowered the parameter for quality to poor and rolled a few times. One caught my eye. By the price, staple lunch was Green Ooze soup, roasted Large Spider sack, and raw Honey Ant eggs served directly from the alive queen for dessert. All that for 5 sp. If you reroll on the same settings you can get a lot same dishes after a while but for quickie adventures, they have more than enough interesting social stuff. Both waitresses and Halfling duo came with several 1 sentence hooks if you want to use them and figure everything else around that hook.
