To do so, you use a bonus action on your turn to choose one creature other than yourself within 60 feet of you who can hear you. That creature gains one Bardic Inspiration die, a d6.   Once within the next 10 minutes, the creature can roll the die and add the number rolled to one ability check, attack roll, or saving throw it makes. The creature can wait until after it rolls the d20 before deciding to use the Bardic Inspiration die, but must decide before the DM says whether the roll succeeds or fails. Once the Bardic Inspiration die is rolled, it is lost. A creature can have only one Bardic Inspiration die at a time.   You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (a minimum of once). You regain any expended uses when you finish a long rest.   Your Bardic Inspiration die changes when you reach certain levels in this class.   2.  Agathar Finwe Dammung  - Elf Bard Agathar hung on the wall, he deserved to be here and he actually was enjoying himself.  This experience was something very different, very unique from what he had experienced before.  He was wanted and hated, no that's not what he wanted in life, but everyone seemed to know his name.  Fame was something he demanded from others and now it seemed he was infamous.   Thrown in here as a kidnapper, someone finally interrupted his art that was so upsetting to him, but no worries, he knew he'd find a way out.  The voices in his mind assured him of that fact and he was patiently waiting to see how it would all play out.  What experiences and emotions will he witness, who will he be able to pull from to increase his art.   He heard the others speak, trying to figure out how to break out, putting their information together. "I heard seagulls, dogs and waves.", he said in a calm voice. "I would assume that we are near the sea.  And if I may say so myself, I should be here.  I had become bored with my art and I needed some inspiration, here I will find my inspiration.", his mindset, and his monotonal voice suggested that perhaps he may be a bit mad.  "There was a bridge too, and a heavy portcullis.  Marisol, that is a pretty name, and Rufus, a very rugged and strong name, just like your chin."   He sniffed and looked about, "I think we are about to get our letters branded into us."  He smiled, "That will be quite painful, I hear nothing is quite so painful as your skin, your very flesh burning."     Mechanics ___________________________________________________ Main Hand: Empty Off Hand: Empty ___________________________________________________ Action: Your action goes here.   3. Agathar Finwe Dammung Male River Elf(High Elf) Bard 1 Ability Scores STR: 8 DEX: 14 CON: 10 INT: 11 WIS: 13 CHA: 18 Description/Personality Agathar is moody and emotional. Not always negative, but perhaps he is overly expressive of his moods or maybe a touch bipolar. He strives to see the art and emotion in everyday life and tries to inject his own emotion into mundane activities. Which of course in prison he has had much mundane activity and quite frankly it has been driving him mad. Madder than he was before, sure yeah he was more than willing to subdue and kidnap a few kids, wives, women and children, whatever for a ransom, you know starving artists need to eat somehow. But since his time imprisoned, his anger has grown more and his mood is much darker. Background Agathar was always expressive and emotional, even as a young child whilst other children were learning to shoot bows, our hero Agathar was learning how to paint. He loved to paint, and would choose to paint all the time, he paint trees and rocks and happy little clouds and water, but it was all too simple. He tried paint insects but they kept moving, so naturally he killed the butterflies and placed them on flowers and paint them. This practice continued into fish and animals. soon he wasn't painting happy little squirrels and happy little deer, he became a painter of post mortum. His skill increased and so did his fame, his art would carry him to a desire to paint more, he began painting people. People you can reason with and have them hold still, but once he started to paint he didn't want to stop until he was finished. People always wanted to take breaks and talk and interrupt his work. It was frustrating, he began painting the dead, but that didn't produce life like paintings. This art became less popular and less purchaseable. Soon he found other muses, trapping urchins and vagrants, peasants and unknown travelers, he trapped them and forced them to pose for him under threat of pain or death. His home he made sound proof and dark, away from the business of people and hidden from prying eyes. Yet his need for art and need for money grew. No one wanted to buy pictures of peasant and children, so he devised a different plan, to kidnap a well to do child. Agathar set out to kidnap an political elite's daughter, and he did just that quickly squireling her away in his dark dungeon or artistic expression, he painted her, painted her clothed, painted her nude, painted her under duress, painted her asleep. He made his best work, but realized he couldn't sell them without getting caught. He couldn't destroy his work either so he wrote a ransom letter on the back of one of his painting and delivered it to his victim's parents. His work was recognizable, his paintings led to his capture and imprisonment. He learned a valuable lesson that day. He needs to be better prepared for ransoming his abductees back to their owners or perhaps just never ransom them back, he was good at painting dead bodies too. Questions     1. What do you think of the others in the group?  Agathar is an artist, he'd love to paint them, he'd love to hear them scream and see them beg for whatever it is he wants to see them beg for and then capture that in a painting.   2. What is your role in a group? Agathar is a healer, a face and well he has a certain set of skills that many find repugnant, even amongst the criminals.   3. How are you not as you seem? (surprising skills and/or personality traits) Agathar is social and complimentary but really its a front to tie up and torture people so that he can capture their true emotions in his paintings.  Truth be told he isn't all about pain and deprecation, he enjoys painting and capturing all the emotions, but its difficult to have people have real good emotions to be captured in paintings, most people just want to smile and sit there nice and pretty, there is no emotion in that, nothing real.   4. What are your goals, conscious and, perhaps, subconscious? Agathar is a painter and he'd like to paint people and be respected by all those who enjoy art.  His art propels him to do what he does and to become better.  Subconsciously he wants to be loved and accepted, to be thought of respectfully.  He was apparently picked on a bit too much when he was younger whilst the other elves were learning bows and sword play, he'd prefer to paint and sing songs.   5. How easily do you love? Have you been in love? Agathar is a touch bi-polar and flamboyant, he loves easy and he hates easy kind of chaotic in emotions.   6. Are you racist at all, either now or in the past? He has a superiority complex if anything, and it wouldn't be past him to put down someone based on their race, but he isn't really racist, he just puts everyone down to lift himself up.   Of course if he is trying to lure you to his home so he can abduct your and paint you...he is sweet as honey.    7. All people believe something that is not true, both about the world around them and about themselves. What lies/untruths do you believe about yourself and the world around you? He believes his methods improve his skill and improve his art, he feels that his subjects, the one's that don't disappear are better off having experience extreme emotions that he invokes. The world doesn't understand him and is out to get him, ending up in prison is only proven to him the wrongness and evil in the world.   8. How are you about material possessions? Agathar is emotional about his art, whether picture or poem, song or psalm its his expression that matters, not so much the things.  Materials mean nothing to him.  He can replace his paints, his canvases and his victims,...err subjects.   9. What do you perceive your major problems to be? He puts his art above everything else.  His actions are driven by his desire to capture true emotion in his paintings, songs and poem.   10. What do you perceive the solutions to those problems to be? Achieving a high level of status amongst the wealthy, royal and even poor as being the most renown artist in the land.   11. What are your religious beliefs?  God speaks to him and he grows more god like as he masters his process of creation.   12. What do you fear? He fears being made fun of, it drives him mad and he hates it.   13. How much of a temper do you have? What sorts of things set you off? He does his best to keep his actions in check, having emotions and fully understanding them is his goal, rage and anger are things he feels, but he'd prefer to remain cool head and slide his dagger into someone's stomach in vengeance than rage scream and shout.  Although some children relentlessly picking on him the way children do might just make him scream.   14. Write five things essential to your background including previous adventures and events. Agathar loves seeing others express emotions and wishes to capture those emotions in art form, sculpture, painting, poetry and song. Agathar doesn't particularly see emotions as positive or negative, but all are growth and an evolution into a higher person, if you can survive.  Agathar doesn't really have a respect for and individuals right to life or any station they may have, he feels he is superior and everyone is less. Agathar for being different, has been picked on by his peers at all stages of life. Agathar, enjoys the feeling of power he gets from causing others to feel emotions.   15. List your goals and things you want to see happen to yourself. Agathar believes himself superior to all others, and wish to rule over them in a way of forcing emotions and thoughts on them.  He is constantly devising how to create situations that would bring out the best and worst in people, just so that he can watch and ingest it.  Like an emotional vampire he will feed off of others joy and sadness, victory and death.  Being in a place of rule and power means, he can willfully and more easily expose people to his superior nature and earn garner their respect and obeisance.  Thus he can help people grow and become better and perhaps more like himself.  It is after all lonely at the top.   16. List two secrets you have. (what things doesn't your character know?)   17. List three people that are tied to you through blood, romance or honor. Remember to include positive and negative reflections.
